Misc WizardOfVegas Forum is Dying

without a view of the balance sheet I cannot make a rational judgement in that respect. How much money do they make from wov adverts? I cant answer, and therefore I cannot suggest they close that site and forfeit that income.
Its not up to me to say that they make enough money and can do without any income from wov.
The cost of wov was included in the price they paid. To assume that they assigned zero value to wov when they arrived at an offer price is rather presumptive .
And do they have plans to sell future adverts for casino hotel/vacation "deals"....those income generating adverts go better in a website with t he word "vegas" in it....if someone were searching.

Having a site with the word "vegas" in it has some value...as it would not be viewed as a mathboy site by a new visitor.

 

I have a question. I'm not real knowledgeable on this posting stuff. If somebody posts on another forum, how can you ascertain it's who they say they are on a different forum? If Mickey Crimm's name is used on Forum #2, how do we know it's the same Mickey Crimm on Forum #1? So if you can't, how can you ban an alias on a different forum just because it's the same alias.

I mean, I think I could do a reasonable impression of Mickey Crimm or Rob Singer or DontLookNow if called upon. And that's after minimal exposure to Mickey or DLN. So why couldn't somebody just clone them and get them banned all over the place?

There is no way to really prove unless the sites share ip addresses which for most part is not happening

 

As predicted -the name is in red but not on the suspension list. The reason is that they don't want anyone to be able to add up the dozens of names Buzzard has used or the thousands of posts that he has been allowed to make since Zuga banned him. Let's take a look at the timeline.

> 11/15/14 - Buzzard is permanently banned by Zuga, a moderator and part owner of WOV. He conspires with beached whale and husband of the year to periodically returns under many different names. They love Buzzard and are upset with Zuga for banning him. They allow him to make thousands of posts, never once catching it early. With the way beached whale sticks her nose into everything, nobody believes it is missed every time.

The mods have been slapping Zuga in the face since the sale of the sites...since he became a mod...since he invested his own money in the sites. Buzzard is still there under a few new names so this will be another "rinse and repeat" when he starts the entire process again.

Are all the men in Zuga's country sub-SERBI-ant? Sure looks like it.

 

But again- are you that bored with life that you really make this a point to follow and notice all this? I mean seriously man to man why do you care?

 

Much of my income comes from selling vintage comics on the internet. There are basically two grading companies that certify these. One has had a long-standing forum, the other didn't. When the other one announced it was starting a forum, someone with some computer skills registered a couple dozen accounts, using names of popular posters from the other site. So many people complained they pretty much reregistered everyone from scratch.

Why not go to a beanie baby site and ask why they collect. Maybe they just enjoy it. There doesnt have to be a payout.

Be persistent...but beware. You may get suspended just for asking. Before you say that's absurd, let me explain. You will deliberately be ignored in the hope that you keep asking. When you ask more than once, they'll cite the rules about posting the same thing more than once and...wait for it..."banhammer". Try it.

Someone, KewlJ maybe, posted something to the effect that the next step at WOV will be that they want to control not only members' speech outside the board but their actions as well. It's already happened. There are two people that I remember getting banned for actions outside the board.

The first was statman. Statman was good at math. So good that word has it that he cleaned manboy's clock. What did manboy do? Banned him for something outside the forum. Not only did he ban statman, he deleted many of his threads and posts. So did statman take manboy to school? Can't prove it now...the evidence is gone.

I saved the best for last. For some background look up juiciejennie. Read her first posts to get an idea of what she's about. Note how the usual lechers slobber all over her...manboy taking the lead with SOO POOP and others right behind. Fifty year old men falling all over each other and themselves for the attention of this young twenty something. Manboy banned her over an argument.

You really don't want to talk about juicie Jennie- she wasn't a model she was a worker. Yes we spoke and no I'm not anywhere near 50 and she outright asked to be paid to spend the night- enough said right there- she also attempted to hustle others in the forum
