    Voluntary.

    Lent ended March 28th?

    And it's not Friday either?

    Oh well!

    (There must be a reason.)

Captain Morgan is nasty stuff to get drunk on. Has too many impurities and impurities are what gives you the hangover. Plus it's a woman's drink, just one sip of it makes me want to gag.

The worst drunk and hangover I ever had came from drinking a fifth of rum.

Freshman year, being 'rushed" to join a fraternity; got soooo hammered...

Woke up in the bushes in front of the frat house, only to learn that during my revelry I'd barfed all over the interior of a brother's new Camaro.

    Ah, down memory lane...

Hey, V. I'm heading to LV on June 2nd. Leaving LV late on the 7th. It's better than 50/50 that retired sociologist, author, and Fulbright scholar, Dr. Scott Beck, will be joining me for a subculture-of-gambling-tour week. If our buddy, the coach, wants to join the festivities, he's invited. As is Mr. Argentino and his lovely wife.

Preliminary plans are the Golden Nugget for three nights, probably followed by two nights at the Tuscany. I do want to get out to South Point for a day, so if I bog down there, maybe I'll stay the night. The GN is definite, however.

Anybody wanting to hang out is invited to email me at [email protected]. We don't arrive until late Sunday as we have a DFW stopover.

Four years ago Weak Wizard started a WoV thread on the election calling it "Election Betting." Right away the wannabe DICKtator forbade political statements. Clearly the little man boy started the thread with the sole intent of baiting members into slipping or making a mistake so he could suspend them. Come on....a thread about the election with no political talk? It's a no win situation...a very gray area that constantly changes. What's acceptable today may not be tomorrow. Herr DICKtator and his ridiculous mods are judge and jury...many times depending on Weak Wizard's mood at the time.

Why the cultists keep coming back for more to that irrelevant, tired old site is a mystery. Come to think of it...there's not a lot of activity over there. The site falsely claims over 24,000 members but can't muster a paltry 100 to log in on any given day...not to mention that many times the site's stats show not one member on line. This can be any time of the day...not just off hours.

Time for one more ban at WoV. How about it Jackie Chan? You're the owner. Time to get rid of one Michael Whitney Shackleford and get someone who won't run your laughing stock of a site any further into the ground.

Woman's drink? Uncuntabelievable and cuntastrophic statement to make. You're obviously a single child brought up by a purpled haired her/she/respect my pronouns etc excuse for a woman/man/cat/colourful flag etc. Captain Morgan's Spiced Rum is great. End of story cupcake. Now go back to stroking your rescue cats and stay at home, whilst chilling your Bud Light.

I appreciated the invite but I haven't been to sin city for several years and don't plan on heading there this year.

I've pretty much seen everything there that I wanted to see, done what I wanted to do.

Shows and fine dining are not a compelling draw for me; it's all about the gambling.

I ask myself: "Why incur the expense of flying from Portland, renting a car, paying for a room and paying all the junk fees just to gamble in LV?

I can anddo get what I want closer to home and without the additional expense.

Heck, tomorrow I am heading to the beautiful, scenic, cool Oregon coast to gamble at Chinook Winds tribal casino; they give me a free ocean front suite and food if I want to eat at the casino, but recently I avoid their buffet and eat at a Chinese joint I discovered: the joint has perhaps the shittiest service I've ever had but also some of the greatest Chinese food: go figure.

    Nope.

I'm not an AP, I play slots and craps and find it a comfortable place to do so.

Heck, I go several times a month and am further ahead financially now viz. gambling losses than I was several years ago.

I have a good friend with a pool table who lives on the river outside of town, that's also a draw.

He's in failing health and emailed me to tell me he just married someone (a nurse from out of state) and to keep it secret: turns out it's a woman he met online recently.

As a retired atty I've tried to convince him to take his estate planning seriously but of his three kids his daughter hates and despises him and his two sons are totally worthless, broken down drunks.

I fear the new wife is only in it for the money, as in Oregon if you die without a will the wife gets half, even if the marriage is very recent.

I believe he's desperate for someone to be with him til the end, to take care of him, but man, what a price to pay...half of EVERYTHING, and he has A LOT!

Good for you, didn't realise you weren't AP, glad you're enjoying life, really. Enjoy being old and enjoying your friends' pool, hope it keeps you well. Are you a veteran? Most of my veterans I served with are dead now, I seem to be one of the few voices left, but I like to carry on the memory of those who went before me. If not, no probs, thanks for sharing and all the best :) God bless and all the best

I'm not a vet but I didn't dodge the draft, my number just never came up.

My buddy, the guy with the pool table, who got "secretly married:" he's in the VA hospital at Portland.

Kidney failure: starting dialysis; needs stents in his heart.

    One hell of a honeymoon.

He's on full disability: PTSD and back pain; he got all messed up during 'Nam; he was an ordnance man on a carrier, the USS Ranger.

Great guy: hoping he pulls through so we can shoot some more pool and smoke a few bowls.

I miss his tales of having liberty in the Phillipines: he'd shack up with some woman for a couple days and have "the time of his life," all the booze, dope and pussy he could handle, dirt cheap.

Has anyone seen Mission146?....asked absolutely no one. His last WoV post was on March 8th. He was suspended on March 12th. His last visit was on May 21st. His last Facebook post was on Dec 29th. A quick look at LCB...where he used to write articles for minimum wage...turned up nothing.

I did find something semi interesting though. I found a few videos with Angela. Weak Wizard still sniffing around, I guess. To answer the burning question on everyone's mind...yes she was wearing a titty dress. Not the red one but a titty dress nonetheless. I'm sure "the girls" were missed by many.

The whole fiasco is beyond ridiculous. Mission didn't pay...this guy wants his money...that guy wants his money...Weak Wizard and Gordon bought the debt...blah blah blah. In some ways the only one who doesn't look like a complete fool is Mission himself. I can't get in his head but maybe if nobody complained in public...just maybe they would have been paid. Maybe all they get now is a big middle finger from Mission.

Regardless of what has transpired...Weak Wizard is ultimately responsible. He still runs the forum. He's still the self proclaimed DICKtator. He could have and should have nipped it in the bud...this colossal embarrassment over a few dollars. But noooo. And where are the updates from Mr phony transparency? Some are actually concerned for Mission. Does Herr DICKtator care? Does he care about anyone other than himself? What do you think?

I had suggested that maybe every WOV Poster can donate $10 or $20 to pay off the say $1,000 that Mission owes. I even pointed out that many Posters spend that much on table and slot games a game. I pointed out that this would be a one time get out of jail card and Mission would be told that if he EVER pulls a "Run a Contest and not pay up," stunt, this would be a permanent banning.

IIRC, Mdawg replied something like,"WOV only has a couple of dozen Active Posters. The rest are just casual Posters who wouldn't care about helping to pay off Mission's debt. They barely even know who Mission is."

Even if there are only about 24 Active Posters, if all 24 Posters donate $45 to Mission, that's $1,080, more than enough to forgive Mission's debt. :)

Why on earth would anyone want to forgive him his debt?

That ain't the way the world works.

Maybe if Mission were to ask, and explain why he couldn't pay it might be different.

But absent proof of indigency on his part Mission owed the money and welshed on it, pure and simple.

    A pariah.

Something tells me that that throwing money at the "Mission problem" won't solve anything. I think it goes deeper than that. Possibly feelings of betrayal or hurt feelings. The ones that shout the loudest that nothing bothers them are usually the ones with the thinnest skins.

We don't know Mission's financial or mental state...although there have been subtle clues about the latter over the years. What we do know is that, for the most part, Weak Wizard is a notoriously unforgiving DICKtator. It's one of the very things that makes him weak. Just look at how he reacts when things don't go his way. How many times has he declared that he was in a bad mood and wanted to suspend someone?

Look...Mission may just be miffed at the way this is being handled. I'm not a Mission fan...don't love him...don't hate 'em. Maybe he has the money and is now being stubborn. He may have had a falling out with Weak Wizard, Goofy Gordon, Ditzy Dieter et al. Or he's just another deadbeat with no job or intention of getting one. At this point we just don't know because of the code of silence from the hypocrite who claims transparency when it suits him.

I'd like to add that no matter the reasons...those guys should be paid...period. No excuses. This is not their problem...not their fight. If Weak Wizard hasn't gambled away the proceeds from the sale of the forum....he may want to consider taking care of it and working it out with Mission later...or just eat it for the good of everyone.
