Misc WizardOfVegas Forum is Dying

I thought Wizard did that freddy, when he and one of the other Mods "purchased" Missions debt. I haven't followed that closely, but I took that to mean they paid the winners the money due and Mission now owes them. Maybe I am wrong.

Anyway, I think it is just a sad situation all around. I like Mission, although we frequently disagree on subjects. He seems like a decent guy overall. I don't read all his articles as most don't interest me, but of those I have read he seems like a good writer. The interview he did with me 8-9 years ago was very good. Of course he had a great subject to work with. Seriously, I was very pleased with that interview. We got out some information that I believe other players may have benefitted from.

Anyway, when this came down, I felt bad for Mission. I think everyone is aware Mission isn't made of money. he seems like he is pretty much a paycheck to paycheck kind of dude. Which about half the country is. I envision, could be wrong, but I envision that when some AP play comes along, he scrapes up enough money to play it. And he has been late with these contest payments before. My question is why is he providing the money in the first place, if he can't afford to.

Anyway, when this came about, I wanted to hear Missions side. We haven't heard his side and he now has had ample opportunity. 5 months worth. And with that my opinion of Mission has gone down.

Bingo schmingo! Did you miss the Axl Rose thread started by Nathan, MrV? I know you've seen it on the other board but I never expected to see it on WoV. Not sure if it's BULLitzer Prize worthy but it was an epic undertaking.

She started the thread on May 21st with a single post. Testing the waters perhaps? The next day, May 22nd, a whopping 48 posts. Finally, on June 4th, there was a mind numbing 192 posts. Every post was by Nathan...not one response from the 10 active members. Yes, she sent them from another forum but she did author them it appears. These are not short posts. In fact...it makes Mission's post look short.

One can only imagine the carnage if Nathan's nemesis, Bitch Bum Blabs, was still in power. There is no doubt that she'd be poring over the rules looking for any reason to get rid of her. I do wonder why this was started as a new thread rather than posted in Nathan's Corner. Are the mods asleep, more lenient, or is Nathan untouchable?

Me? I've only given the Axl novel a most cursory look. Does anyone have the CliffsNotes?

 

Oh, I am VERY familiar with the story as she's also posting it at VCT and I and a couple others are "running with it," adding our own absurdist screeds to hers.

My Fictional Axl Rose stories are too many posts to be in the Nathan's Corner, so I asked for permission to start a new thread for my Fictional Axl Rose stories and it was granted.

 

When clicking on WoV the first thing you see is the Top Contributors list. It displays the number of posts made by the top 10 cultists. Why is it there? You tell me. Weak Wizards ego? An attempt to goad members into making more posts? Who knows. What we do know is the list is a lie like everything else on that forsaken site.

In third place we have FleaStiff with 14,484 posts...last visit on Nov 24, 2020. It is widely assumed that he has passed away.

In fourth place we have the disgraced Bitch Bum Blabs with 14,268 posts despite only 17 posts in all of 2024.

Drumroll please. The grand prize goes to Nareed. He...yes, I said he...has 11,413 posts. So what you say? Well...his last post was on May 22, 2017. You read that correctly...over 7years ago.It Yes, he was strange but, to his credit, he didn't drink Herr DICKtator's Kool Aid.

I mentioned that the list was a lie. Too harsh? It's a lie because anyone on suspension does not appear on the list. Another attempt at control by the Weak One. Were that notthe case...Mission's 16,832 posts would clinch him a spot .

Finally, Herr DICKtator himself has over 26,000 posts but keeps his name from the list. Look out EvenBob...he's breathing down your neck. It would be devastating if he caught up.

 

On WoV Nathan commented that Kiefer Sutherland must be devastated after losing his father. It was a genuine, heartfelt sympathy. Enter SOOPOO just 20 minutes later with this remark to Nathan: "Another useless and thoughtless post."

After reading the insult against her...poor Nathan tried to delete the post but it was too late. SOOPOOP...the male Bitch Bum Blabs...deserves a lengthy suspension for that unprovoked, harassing attack..

Don't let that creep intimidate you, Karen Nathan. Your heart was in the right place.

 

Yep, I felt sorry for Kiefer losing his Father when I said,"Devastated." If I lost MY Father, I'd be devastated, So I was expressing sympathy for Kiefer and I got insulted for it and felt humiliated , and tried to delete the post but I saw the insulting post(s) roughly four hours after the window to delete posts expired.
