So Larrys no company wants to see anyone throw up? Have you heard of Nathan's? They not only promote it but show it on national television, have you heard of wing bowl in philly? Same things different company- when you use certain speaking points in your argument , please make them at the very least valid points!!!! You lose a lot of credibility when you don't (not that you had any to start with)

And I'm sure the sports you and Mr V participate in involve large Mandingo men and grabbing your ankles and biting the headboard, correct?

so anything goes in the name of camaraderie.

Of course I can hurl my" lightening bolts" and not expect any change. Why would I expect people with poor social skills to see that they are negatively effecting business, and the ability to eat in peace of their neighbor.
In their mind more people should be doing this type of activity in public.

You can get a room at extended stay america,.it has a microwave, a kitchen, larger combined room/kitchen....and you dont have to negatively impact society. But that invovles spending 80 dollars....or maybe 8 dollars a person.

heck MR v, i dont think I can stop people from gagging and vomiting in public from a self serving contest, just as I cant stop people from picking their nose in the dining area or farting. repeatedly.

If someone wanted to go to their local Chipotle, and have a farting contest after ordering a load of beans,,,thats just great too in the name of camaraderie.

I know its a free country, and in the name of camaraderie you can have a farting contest, and nose picking contest , a belching contest,as well. Poorly socially developed people go for that shit. Maybe even a snot rocket contest. When people are eating, your camaraderie comes first....because after all we were once in caves.

There comes a time in peoples lives where you loose the sensibilites of a frat boy, and sticking your ass out a car window and mooning people is not something you brag about or film for posterity as you gain social skills and become less egocentric where you think the world revolves about what YOU want.

But then again, we used to live in caves.....so anything goes compared to what disgusting things must have gone on there. HEY the cavemen probably shit in public. Sooooooo in the name of camaraderie, why not have a public shitting contest as well. Its a normal bodily function...dont be so uptight.....it s so funny to video.

nathans is an organized event with medical staff present....and there is no chance that someone unsuspecting, would pay their money for a meal, and then have some socially backward people impose on their enjoyment of the meal by eating hot dogs within view in a disgusting manner .
Thereis a stage, and signs everywhere .....people who find it to be gross to watch and eat, have plenty of advanced warning. In fact you can be eating inside the nathans ...and never see the contest. Its on a large stage outside, where proper permits were obtained...since the land that the contest is held on is not owned by Nathans .
Since they were asked to take it outside, in the last wov nuggets contest, and they are changing venues for that.....I would think that proper "permits" or permission was not obtained. Obviously someone thought it was deleterious to business. It will be a nomad contest, keep moving to another venue as you keep offending others.

So Nathans is not even a close comparison.

I try to be a good neighbor, and avoid doing things in public that could gross people out.

But I realize there is the Jerry Springer generation who think differently.

It's funny because eating contests are as american as eating apple pie (pie eating contests) and they have gained popularity in other countries. They are sponsored by major companies and shown on national TV. Men and even women like to watch and participating. I remember them at the local county Fair, I don't remember any medical staff. People who are criticizing Mike about eating challenges are reaching.

FYI lots of restaurants and bars love eating challenges and so do the people watching.

Watch the TomG video People were cheering

impromptu eating contests using someone elses property without their permission, and without asking permission of nearby patrons is not the american way.

and its hypocrisy to demand respect of "mikes place" and not give the same respect to someone esles "place" or fellow neighbors

Oh god Larry you dont give a fuck about your neighbors. You're not fooling anyone. You'll say and use anything you feel puts Mike and people you dislike in a bad light. I would somewhat respect your position if you just came out and said you have a vendetta or whatever and just don't like Mike. This defending my neighbors crap is complete BS and you know it.

It is the american way. That's why thousands(?) of restaurants have some kind of eating contests. The manager of Dupre's restaurant welcomed the Video and the eating contest since they host it themselves. People didn't seem to mind at McDonald's most of the time people actually loved it and some wanted to participate. Never once did someone look cross at us when I was there or say anything derogatory.

I never met mike, so I cant say I dont like him. But I have pointed out the specific things that I dont like what he does and says.
I dont just generalize and call him a fucking idiot like some do. I am very specific where if I do characterize him with negative labels...I provide proof based on his own words and actions.
His own words and actions do all the talking. I just fill in the blanks
So I definitely dont like what I see in his words and actions and I have documented it.

If u want be to be a raving lunatic and say I hate him, or call him a fucking idiot....I cant say either.

Thats what people want....to see me say I hate him, I despise him, to see me show pain and angst, like KJ does.

However unlike KJ I never talk about going back one day, or claim angst or hurt over not being able to post.

I am a simple former customer that was mistreated and do not want to see others mistreated

And I have gone on record how happy I am that some change has already occured.

If you think using someone elses business for self promotion without their permission then you are a hypocrite like the manboy.
The manboy makes videos and introduces himself as the wizard of Odds.......as an advertisement to get watchers to possibly look him up and follow him. If he didnt want to advertise himself, he needent, have the introduction.

Restaurants have their own contests, and advertise it so that if people are grossed out by it, they wont be eating there at that time. They have a choice. And the business gets the sole advantage of the event. Its an advertisement that they have the best wings in town, the best cherry pie, the best steak. Its controlled by the owners. Its a risk they take for THEIR business. No one is barging in and doing their own contest on their property for their own benefit and or amusement

If some other business wants to promote themselves, and reserves a table for 10 people, at a steakouse, and orders 10 cherry pies from the waitress and has an unauthorised cherry pie eating contest in the middle of the steak eating people...and it gets videoed for internet placement.....you think that they are entitled to do that. Just by placing an order..they have the right to impinge on the enjoyment of others and use someone elses property as a venue for their events without clearing it with the owner?

And what if some of the steak eaters, who wanted a quiet evening, decide not to come back because this typeof thing might happen again. Is that fair to the business? Are the pie eating sponsors showing respect to the "steak place" like the manboy wants respect for "mikes place"

Does manboy let others promote their businesses without getting permission first...or without paying a fee?

    your analogy is bogus.

And I call BS. Your innocent act innocent act isn't fooling anyone. You dont really give a crap what happens to other people. If you did you would spend your time on a much better cause.

Even If EVERYTHING you guys think and say about Mike, Mods and WOV is true, it's a micro blip compared to everything going on.
I would have to say Mike and the site has contributed far, far more positive things compared to the petite things that people have accused him of.

You guys have scraped and scrounged to find any and all negative thins about him, even if everything is true and done deliberately without any remorse or something he realized was a mistake or in bad tast I would have to say he's one hell of a guy and deserves a standing ovation.

if you are saying that the visual,of mission vomiting in the trash can of mcdonaldS was a pleasant experience for folks and it Increased their appetite and they actually ordered more food..then I WOULD CALL YOU A LIAR.

and if you think mcdonalds corp would even consider taking the risk of someones gall bladder exploding on their property as they authorize various unsupervised contests ......or someone getting very ill on their property so that a group of 10 people can get their kicks and another person can get a video posted with his stagename on it......think again.

How many people saw mission vomiting, and said to themselves the next time they were in the area....Hey lets go to that mcdonalds over there...I saw someone vomiting in a trashcan....I bet they prepare their food real well..

I never pretended to be the biographer of manboy. The name of this thread says what the commentary will stress. ....the reasons why wov is dying.
Now YOU may start a thread called....."the positive side of manboy"....and I could not claim on that thread.....that you were going off topic if all I read were positives.

But the reason wov is dying ...is not because of positives going on over there. Therefore you wouldnt expect to see a long list of positives

however feel free to start your own thread which will house the positive side of things. And I promise I wont go there and bring the issues from here onto your thread.

The fact that this thread gets so much interest is that it stays true to the title, and it must resonate with alot of folks.

I have never meet anyone that was not a hypocrite in some kind of way, I'm sure you are one yourself in many ways. I'm sure I have been one and will be one again at some point. I'm sure you do things you shouldn't do all the time, you probably break laws often even ones you dont even know about.

having unauthorized contests and making money off of them happens everyday, right or wrong its not a big deal(It's Like going one mile an hour over the speed limit, or spitting on the sidewalk), you act as if its the worst thing in the world. People are doing much worst things at McDonalds and other fast-food chains, McDonald's has benefited themselves from the contests.

Perhaps he should have or needs to ask the manager permission each time beforehand. I honestly dont think you should have to ask first, IMO McDonald's is more of a public place. people video all the time in McDonald's and post it up to their YouTube blogs and whatnot.

Sorry to tell you this, but bending and breaking the rules, doing things you shouldn't do is the american way. Thank god for people that do, or we would not be the country that we are.

He went outside and put his head in a trash can, so I dont know what you are going on about. You are calling him a liar, because he claims he didn't Vomit.

yes watching someone put their head in a trashcan means he was eating out of the trashcan without using hands. Thats what most passersby would think.
    Very appetizing.
not one person would assume mcdonalds is causing people to experience illness. Not one person might think the the food is tainted. No one person would be turned away

They will all assume, he just had the flu or was just dumpster diving with his teeth.

this is too easy..i love debating with you...you are sooooooooo easy
