I had a message from admin accusing me of having multiple accounts which is in violation of the terms of the forum, so here's my "confession".

I don't have multiple accounts although it seems that way because there are two people posting from the same address. The other account, "Michaela", actually belongs to my girlfriend (who has her own computer but sometimes uses mine). She's mildly disapproving of my gambling activities and likes to take opposing views (in public). It's a kind of running joke we've had going for a while (although I appreciate it might not seem very funny to outsiders). So there it is.

I doubt if I'll post here again anyway because there's too high a noise-to-signal ratio for my liking (as a result of there being little to no moderation).

    Cheers.

I just always assumed that Mike was Bayes, and I assumed that everyone already knew as well.

You have a TON of friends on the boards Turbo, more than you might think and thats the truth. Problem is, its quite impossible to weed out "the rest" (the fakes). I never thought of this. Over my years, I have seen plenty of threads regarding, lets ban this member, thumbs UP or DOWN. My personal favorite, starting shitty threads regarding a mod and the OWNER ALLOWS it to stay up......I HAVE NEVER SEEN THAT IN ANY STYLE OF MESSAGE BOARD, GAMBLING RELATED OR NOT.

Question being, I have never seen a poll (at any board) for FAVORITE poster. I would say Turbo would be 1 or 2.
Maybe RG in there? (hahaha, gotcha on that one). An old saying Turbo, kill'em with kindness. That way, they look all the more fuckin stupid when insulting you.

Mike is short for Michaela. And yes, I am a hoot.

It's not that I don't like you TG. You may be a swell guy who helps old ladies across the road and puts the cockroach outside instead of stamping on it, but I don't like what you're 'selling'.

I agree with Dr. Sir Anyone. You're adding to the infection of ignorance.

It is ??? Never mind - I think that's a road that I don't want to go down. (it's not)
This is either a Good cop / Bad cop scenario playing out (which is fine with me) or now it's digging a hole deeper to get back on the level ground (which isn't my business).

    Michaela:
    Gender:Male
    Birthday:Feb 4, 1966 (Age: 50)
    Location:Alabama, USA

    Bayes:
    Gender:Male
    Birthday:Mar 19, 1963 (Age: 53)
    Location:UK

So this is one hell of a big computer that spans from the US to the UK ?
And you put Male in your profile (T-Moron) just to..... why ? Or nothing in the profile is accurate (most people don't use actual info when they make profiles anyway - Alabama, Mars, the Moon - whatever....Male, Female - whatever)

It is taken here - by someone who joined Dec 1, 2015 and then hasn't been seen since the following day.
Someone joined a forum just to join it and then never post and has no activity since that very day. lol.

But regardless of all that above - there is still a good conversation to be had in the "challenge" thread that we can get to shortly. But if "I" am the one adding to the infection of ignorance...... Hmm.
I haven't said a single thing here to mislead anyone about me or what I say in posts.
It's just better to not point fingers at someone and say they are misleading others while that has been what you have been doing from the start.

I can see why - he is the only one who said how obvious it was that you were "who you were" all along (as he said himself).

So "Sir" just assumed (and everyone already should have known - according to him) that "Mike" (a male from Alabama) was actually Michaela (a female and Bayes' girlfriend) and this was all common sense and known to everyone.... silly Turbo Genius for not knowing that !

See how the hole just gets deeper ? Lets just stop and get back to the topics then.

Re: Alabama. That was a private joke for Baye's benefit.

    TG,

What does it matter who is who on an internet forum? What matters is the content of posts, and perhaps entertainment value. But continue with the 'gotchas' if it makes you happy.

For starters, how about the claim that you win using systems every time you go to the casino???

Really, how many readers of the forum do pay attention to nicknames? The names are relevant only to the 10-20 hardcore posters/readers. Everyone else couldn't care less.

it really doesnt matter aoyut the name except that the name encompasses one person.
who wants to give an opinion and then get shouted down by 3 different people...who are actually one person using multiple screen names.

thats why the names arent important but the certainty that there is one different person behind the names...is important to the integrity of discussions

We touched upon this here in a previous post when we caught Denzie as the sock puppet of The judge.

Regarding Michaela and Bayes, we will always merge accounts that are clearly linked because we would rather risk unfairly merging the accounts of genuine boyfriends and girlfriends than leaving seeds of doubt regarding the principle of one unique person behind each username. We suppose that means we aren't a girlfriend/boyfriend-friendly site and we're OK with that. So we will always assume accounts that are linked are being run by the same person no matter what convoluted story they come up with in order to ensure the integrity of our community. Such folks are free to come up with any story they wish regardless of truth in order to save face, and it will be up to each individual member to believe them or not. We won't make such judgement calls; we'll just merge the linked accounts.

As a result, we have merged the Bayes account into the original Michaela account.

That's not what I was doing, I'm just asking questions.
It seems strange to me that Sir Anyone can see how obvious is was that "Mike" was "Bayes" while everyone else on the forum couldn't see this. And the Good cop / Bad cop scenario is fine with me - I'm just not sure what the purpose would be. I used to play "Second Life" (a virtual reality community) and had 13 avatars/accounts at once.
I had a specific purpose for each one - so there's no "gotcha" going on, I was just trying to understand the point behind doing so - and defending myself that I was adding to ignorance somehow. I've always been this account name on every site in order to sway the conversation in any direction, or any other reason other than for comedy and I stated plain and clearly that it was me (ie. "God" at GG, etc)

That is the truth. Because you don't believe it - does not make it a lie.
I had one losing casino visit which I told everyone about - I was there with friends and was not playing any type of method - we were enjoying the time at the table and making silly bets.
I take roulette seriously - it makes nice money. I was not lying and am still not lying when I say that I always leave in profit (with the one exception above).

LarryS is exactly right. No one cares what someone's name is - it would be nice if the "old timers" used the same nickname throughout various forums (there's no reason Not to do so unless you are up to no good).
"I was XYZ on that forum but everyone knows me now so on this new forum I'll be ABC".
I'm also confident that no one cares about the profile info - locations, gender, age... not relevant really.
But to post as multiple accounts and not be open about it typically means there is something fishy going on.
It could be a scammer with another account posting about how great a product is.
It could be 5 people (the same person) to gang up on one person in order to make it look as though there is some majority that agrees with something - again wrong to do.
I'd like to believe that in this case the story is legit. I've always liked Bayes. I like Michaela as well - aside from a good cop/bad cop play at work, I don't see a reason why a single person would post opposite viewpoints on the same topic. So I'll just continue to put my faith in the story that they aren't the same person.

    Correction :
This is the kind of sentence you type when kids are asking you questions while you type lol.
I've always used this account name on every site. I've used others that I made up for comedy or for testing forum settings - and I was clear to everyone who I was and why. (ie. "God" at GG, etc).
