Freddy's WOV investigation skills seem too good, he seems to be on the inside or something. Double agent.

I have saidit before and it bears out as truth....I dont go to wov....unless someone makes a reference to something going on there...

I am never the one to bring to anyones attention something new going on at wov

Its not a place I "investigate" daily or even weekly.....unless freddy or someone else keeps me up to date.

    so your premise is flawed.

Its so easy to specifically accuse someone of being someone else ........ you know give specific screen names and judge that they are another screen name. I dont play that game. Its an exercise in futility.

Heck face accused me of posting there under a different name.....well he says he suspected.....not a harsh accusation.
When I wouldnt lift a finger t give them any business......so I found that amusing.

so who cares who 1bb is ...or was.

I deal with the content posted by the screen names in front of me. Thats good enough for me. I dont need to agonize over who is behind the names.

Ah, a segue: speaking of WoV and "who is behind the names," I note that the new owners of WoV certainly do NOT trumpet the fact that they bought and now own the site; their attempts at deception in this regard extend so far as to showing that Mike Shackleford still owns the copyright to the site (very bottom, left of site).

A cartoon image of the Wiz is plastered on the site, and nearby it says "© 2009-2016 Michael Shackleford My other sites: Wizard of Odds, Wizard of Macau, Las Apuestas."

I would be surprised (to say the least) if he in fact still owns the copyright; I know he no longer owns the sites (Ka-ching!).

I would anticipate that the copyright was almost certainly transferred when he sold his sites a few years ago to the LCB clan.

That Las Apuestas site is as phony as a 3 dollar bill. The search function doesn't even work. Manboy doesn't speak Spanish no matter how many "Spanish Word of the Day" threads he starts. Every time he posted a new word someone had to correct him. He brags about learning from his cleaning lady or other workers he runs in to.

He's so full of it. It's all about him devising ways to be in the company of Spanish women. He's infatuated with them....in the creepiest way. He regurgitates articles from WOV and pays someone to post them on Las Apuestas. Bimbos with low cut tops no doubt.

He'll go to any length to get next to a Spanish woman. Read his trip reviews on prostitution. PERV.

this is why he is not going anywhere....he gets a steady paycheck, the business gets to use him as a figurehead.
He knows he is a lousy businessman...so he wont start a new business.
He also brings with him free labor...how cool is that

Manboy started a thread last week titled "Block Pro Blackjack". The thread comes with the usual stupid poll. One of the poll entries is " Only teenage girls should be drinking Corona". Sounds like one of those predator TV shows. What is the mindset of a 50 year old married male that would even think that, let alone post it to the public?

Another poll question asks "Is Poopouri a real product"?

Before I get to that, Block Pro Blackjack is a legitimate game designed by WOV member MrCasinoGames, by all accounts a pretty nice guy. He's had some success with it and obviously is happy when it is discussed.

In the very first post, after manboy's op, Beached Whale decides to hijack the thread and talk about Poopouri. This is a product that claims to dissipate bathroom odors. A couple of posters try to get the thread back on track but...noooo. Manboy posts a video of a woman on a toilet talking about the dump she just took.

Not to be outdone, Mission/Pavlov/Pierce/Brandon James chimes in. Right on cue he shares that his girlfriend bought him Poopouri for Christmas. Then manboy asks if the product works if the shit doesn't sink to the bottom of the toilet.

Three mods breaking the rules hijacking a thread. Three suspensions are called for as well as apologies to MrCasinoGames. It's all about the integrity...right mods?

Finally, in the same thread, Mission/Pavlov/Pierce/ Brandon James announces to the forum that his girlfriend is now his fiancee. Somebody direct that poor girl to this site before it's too late.

I don't gamble online, but those who do, or who want to, might look at his recommendations in that regard as having value.

    Nope.

He nol longer recommends anything; his owners use him as a mouthpiece.

Now he's just a figurehead for the LCB folks, whose daily bread comes from online gaming activities.

They paid a couple mil mostly for the sites, but part of it had to be for the goodwill associated with him.

Anybody know if he has a real job any more, or if he's even looking?

I also once got the gavel for having the temerity to ask the resident genius mathite to tell me exactly how many shoe/hand of the baccarats constitute a "long run". But then, the ridiculous over-moderation, in itself provide a lot of entertainment value, hey hey.

It is beyond me why some of you guys do nothing but complain about WoV. And before anyone jump on me, yes, I came here specifically to voice my displeasure at Mike and WoV for his handling of my situation. Knowing that Mike reads this thread, it was the only platform I had to voice my displeasure. So I did so...for several months, probably too long. But eventually, I moved on. Isn't that the way it works, or should work? If you don't move on at some point, you are just empowering the person you have whatever issue with. You are allowing them in your head, to control your life. I don't get it. ???

I'll be attacked for this, but as a new year approaches, why not take this opportunity to move forward. If someone did you wrong, you've had your say just as I have. Get over it and move forward.

While I came here specifically to have my say about my situation (which I have had), I was also hoping that this site, entitled "Gambling Forums", would lead to more discussions of gambling and AP topics and maybe fill some of the void left when WoV and Mike Shackleford chose moved away and/or lost credibility in the gambling/AP world. And with a number of AP's and gambling enthusiasts as members of this site, many like myself exiled from WoV, or just moved away from WoV on their own as WoV became less legit and respected in the AP community (some still participating at both), there certainly is enough knowledgeable and interesting members here for this site to be more than it is.

I'm not going to jump on you, KewlJ, and I'm certainly not going to attack you. I'll point out, as gently as I can, that "moving on" is an individual thing. How can anyone decide when someone else should move on? Most of my posts are in this thread and I have no intention of moving on.

What is the norm (pun intended) for moving on? Number of posts? Amount of time? You yourself have over 175 posts in this thread, 30 in this month alone. Granted they're not all complaints...but still.

As you are aware there are plenty of places on this site to discuss any gambling that your heart desires. This particular thread is in the LOUNGE which is clearly marked "off-topic". But you know all this.

For the record, you never should have been banned, or even disciplined for that matter, by Shackleford. But this is a petty little man who holds grudges, an unstable man who can't be reasoned with. All your posting here isn't going to change that. Go to the suspension list and see the good people who have been banned. You are not alone and you are not necessarily more important than any of them.

You want to discuss gambling? I'm all ears. You seem like the real deal. I have a gambling question. The experts say that the best blackjack players can only make about $20 an hour. How to you manage to make $100K a year? I have counted the cards and haven't come anywhere near $20 an hour. If someone could show me how to do that I'd be thrilled. I would hit the casinos every weekend.

So if you truly want to discuss gambling, I'll look for your response in one of the gambling threads...not here. I'd also be interested in Ultimate X and video poker that they say can be beaten.

Believe it or not, my best luck has been at roulette....I know, I know...a losing game. When I had the audacity to mention that game on WOV, I was laughed at, ridiculed and it was implied that I was stupid by the narrow minded mathletes and the clueless cultists. I'm not.

Move on? Not this guy. I'm having way too much fun.

Happy New Year to everyone at GF, GG, and WOV!

I agree with your conclusion concerning my situation. I am still stunned, literally "stunned", that Mike jumped into the middle of a feud brought to his site by an outside member, who had chosen not to participate at WoV for better than 5 years, and as everyone can now clearly see had no intention of participating and contributing beyond asking/pressuring (whatever you want to call it) to silence and ban me. I am equally stunned and disappointed that now almost a year later, Mike isn't a big enough person to acknowledge his mistake, of siding with a non-member of his site to censor and bully me out of the community and try to work something out with me, a fairly well known and respected member of the AP/card counting community, who DID contribute and participate positively at WoV for many years.

But the fact that I am still stunned, disappointed and even hurt by who Mike turned out to be, isn't going to change anything by me continuing to harp on it on a daily basis. I've had my say and have moved on. That's not to say, I won't have a comment if someone brings it up (as you just did), but nothing is going to change by continuing to harp on the same thing.

Yep this is the single most active thread of this site, accounting for a large portion of the discussion of this site, so, yeah, most of my posts are in this thread. But very few of my recent posts have been me continuing to harp. Recent discussions have been about Larry's retirement, and definition of "professional", ect. It's just everything seems to be in this one thread instead of people starting new threads.

You make a fair point as to "amount of time or number of posts" that are reasonable for someone to have their say and express their points. I don't know the answer. But when I read the same things over and over...."that one of the mods is fat and no one will fuck her" and "how lousy the customer service at WoV is", it just seems that we are way beyond people making a case or point, specific or general and more into some sort of obsessive compulsion type area.

I think I'll respond to your blackjack comments in a separate post (to follow).
