so this is the intent of the company you have worked for in the past and for the one that you currently work for,
When MS was asked in the past why even have the list.....he reiterated the shame reason.
So whether you like it or not you are part of a company that feels they have the power to shame people. But they only try to shame certain people as that list is rather incomplete over the past year.

the site has a culture of "how dare you"......and an almost glee in issuing suspensions. ..as in "you are the weakest link or the idea of suspending for sport one is in a bad mood....as per MS.

so 3 mods have nicknames. and one doesnt....for a good reason

Manboy--look at his behavior....posting half naked women, suspending when in a bad mood, announcing he likes to watch bug zappers, nugget vomiting contests,..just like a little boy in a mans body

Husband of the year- so cocky with his 'you are the weakest link" so superior in attitude...so critical.....yet cant even keep his own marriage together...hence the nickname......

Beached whale- its a take-off of the actual screen name.....a name that belongs in a surfer website rather than a gambling website, and gives images of a female in beach attire on the beach.....while she mods as a bitter, hateful person......totally opposite of the carefree bikini beach scene.
On top of that being so vane about her appearance to the point where she deletes a picture and gets self suspended when there was an uproar of overstepping her authority. So the new moniker brings it back to the reality of who she is...based on how she behaves. If she was a bright cheery pleasant fair person......the moniker here wouldnt apply. But she is bitter and vane, and full of self importance. As hateful is her behavior is, how unfair her behavior is...as has been outlined over these hundreds of pages.......her nickname matches...it is apropos.

Face- he has no nickname....why? because there is no real joy he gets from suspending, like the other 3 above. I truly believe he avoids being involved in doling out punishments and is almost apologetic when he does. So I guess I could give him the name "mr fairness" but then it might be viewed as a sarcastic name that implies that he is the opposite.He treats people with respect even if they are democrats or republicans. what the fuck does he care.....he puts on his smoking jacket, takes out a pipe, smokes it while munching on a sandwich seasoned with Grey Poupon.

Others have picked up on these nicknames because they have a semblance of truth attached to them. The names crystallize who you are talking about...and the nicknames often explain what is being said as far as their actions.
THe nicknames are not just random things that are known about these people....its who they are.....so when we talk about MS writing an article about prostitution or Happy Endings at massage parlors, or a sexually slanted blog about panama....and we talk about Manboy....well it makes sense that a manboy would be titilated by providing this type of info.

Thats why the nicknames are used. Because they help explain who they are and help explain their activities detailed in peoples posts.

nicknames only stick if they have truth attached,.

Very good, apologies for misconceiving the intent of your statement.

I'm only speaking to what I use the list for, I am not disputing what has been openly posted by Wizard. Perhaps that is even why it was created, I don't know, but I have a practical function for it and that is what I use it for.

Would you that divorce be outlawed? Any failure to keep the marriage together would imply that the desire for a divorce was not mutual. The weakest link thing is an obvious joke, at least in my opinion. I don't look down on people merely for being Suspended over there.

Interpretation. When I think, 'Beach bum,' surfer is not what comes to mind for me. I just envision any person of any physical appearance, who likes to laze around on the beach.

I view it as a clear attack on her weight.

We eat, drink, and yak; the Wiz puts on a decent trivia contest; then we go gamble.

Nothing fancy, somewhat underwhelming, but there is a sense of comraderie, and it's interesting to match a face to an internet handle.

this thread is about wov......so when I say that wov has a suspension board that is labeled as a board of shame and the manboy has stated that the intent is to shame. You answer ///"but I ............dont use it to shame others...blah blah"........
well thats all well and good...but you still work for a company that has a core philosophy that suspensions should cause "shame".
you work for a company where the guy over-seeing things brags about suspending for bad moods. So its not you...you still work for a company that has that behavior. You work for a company that permanently suspends people without giving a reason. A company that talks about "transparency' BUT FAILS TO ADHERE TO THAT BELIEF.
Meanwhile visits of members down 30 percent from 2 years ago.
