How is the position that you would be winning the argument not subjective?

I already told you I do customer service related stuff, I just don't consider it necessarily as my official duty as an Administrator of the site.

interesting observation.
I cant claim a cause and effect...but once the topic og the suspensio list became prevalent here....it cooled down at Wov.

Once I layed out the idea that by putting a listing along with a link to an insult, proved that the police at wov were more interested in punishing than protecting the feelings of an insulted party. The link gave people an extra opportunity to read the insult in case they didnt participate in the thread that house the offending.
The existance of the suspension board proved to me that the mods dodnt really give a shit about protecting the feelings of posters. They wanted to punish...plain and simple.

The topping on the cake was when on various occasion both BBB and manboy said that the purpose of the list was to shame people. Manboy even calls it the wall of shame.

BBB like a good koolaid drinking policeman......echoed that on a thread once when I was active. And I told her that she has no power over people to inflict shame. People have total control over the feeling of shame. They can choose to feel shame or not. BBB has no power over me or anyone else to inflict shame . And the manboy similarly.

When asked to take down the suspension list recently since it isnt even used 50 percent of the time anymore...he said no..that its part of the culture of the board.

so in otyher words, a device that doubly insults a person is part of the boards culture. That says it all
Something like that list of course cannot be taken down. Its integral to the culture.

And if the list was taken down....how could the mods shame people. The purpose of the list is to shame people.And of course doubly insult people.

So it seems the list isnt used much anymore....since I called mods out for being so fucking sick that they needed to shame people and doubly insult people


And as the LIST IS NOT USED ANYMORE.............NOTICE THAT.................the thread all about that list has swindled down to a trickle.
So yes....since that has happened.....there are less suspensions from that thread.

I've already stated my reasons for using the list.

However, as you say the list is primarily to shame people and doubly insult them I find it interesting that you would see it being used less as a problem. For my part, I use it because it helps me remember when a Suspension is supposed to be over. It also gives me a history of previous Suspensions to help decide the length of any new Suspensions.

 

When did i say using it less is bad. If you want to doubly insult people for record keeping purposes its cool.

AS you open your eyes and look, you will see it being used alot less now,. Meaning some people get doubly insulted and some do not. Some people are attempted to be shamed and some are not.

So as I stated before this thread is not called "Wov is dying all because of mission"

So without your self imposed tunnel vision...you are unable to comment on the massive material on this thread except to say..."I dont make the rules I am just the police" and "it wasnt me"

We know how vindictive and petty manboy can be. And we know you get paid doing other things on the site other than moderating.

So I dont expect you would risk income by telling us that you think someone is a sick fuck for suspending when in a bad mood, or wanting to inflict shame on people. Nor would I expect you to call BBB a sick fuck for closely following in manboys footsteps.

So all I can expect is "its not me"

that pretty much excuses you from being able to comment with credibility on the other 95 percent of the issues regarding this thread.

 

Right. When a suspension is 'supposed' to be over. Then you take your time to decide when you feel like reinstating them. A very long history of rinse and repeat. The latest was Nathan.... 2 days late.

 

One day late, and admittedly 100% my fault. I remember looking at it the night before she was supposed to be Unsuspended and kind of making a mental note to do it, but then I ended up forgetting anyway until the day after that.

 

In that event, I'll let you know when there is something I can comment on, and if you want to direct any questions at me, feel free.

Let's see, so I'm not going to trash the Wizard along with you because why...

1.) We're technically co-workers.
2.) He's a friend of mine.
3.) Administrating WoV eventually led to doing what I currently do for current ownership.
4.) I don't agree with most of your statements, particularly with the conclusions you reach pertaining to Wizard as a person, so it would just be a, "No, he's not," "Yes, he is," sort of five-year old bickering that I don't have either the time or inclination for.
5.) If he really felt the need to defend himself against what you say here, then I imagine he would come over here and do it himself. IOW, he doesn't need me to defend him.

Anyway, if you want to talk about a Suspension, or something along those lines, then that is something I will generally do. You can't say that I am unwilling to say anything against the site because I have already publicly disagreed with site policy, such as the no profanity rule and I don't think we should have as many off-topic threads.

If you want to talk about something Wizard said, well, Wizard can say what Wizard wants to say. It has nothing to do with whether or not I work for the site, it has to do with whether or not I consider myself personally accountable for what Wizard says, and I don't.

If you've ever been an employee somewhere, then I would think you don't hold yourself up to a standard of considering yourself over the owner or over the boss and taking accountability for what they do. To wit, I don't apologize for other people or try to explain the actions of other people, I'd much rather leave them to explain their own actions.

If you want to see a socially-backward maladjusted retard, then you should meet my former employer at the hotel. I'll talk about him all day long, mainly because that is my actual opinion. You don't need me to tell you, though, if you remember what the hotel was then you can just go through and read the reviews and you'll see. I'm not saying where it was or giving anyone else permission to say the location, for the record.

When you talk about something another Administrator (namely BBB) does in that capacity, or something another one says, again, I really don't consider myself above them such that I take accountability for that. If I disagree with a Suspension, or some other action, I don't just go and unilaterally reverse it because I don't consider that my place, I take it to PM with the other Administrator, and if we can't reach an agreement, then I bring the Wizard into it.

Now, if Wizard has taken any trips during which he would be offline for a significant period of time, then he has put me, "In charge," of the Forum. However, those times (and any superiority I would have over other Admins) begins when he leaves and ends when he gets back, in my view. I might unilaterally reverse something that I would disagree with during those times, but I don't think that situation has ever arisen.

I would say I am over the Secret Admins, but they are generally supposed to ask before taking any serious action on anything. They don't necessarily ask me, though.

 

Oh, and just for the record, I called the hotel owner, "Socially backward, narcissistic, egotistical, sanctimonious, maladjusted retard," during my time there. To his face. Several times.

I'm not at liberty to comment on my commentary with the Admin here, actually. For further information regarding that, I refer you to your Admin here and suggest you send a PM.

I'm plenty frank and open, anyway. Please, whenever you want, ask me about something that I did and I would be more than happy to talk about it. Ask me about site policy, we'll talk about that all day long. Not literally all day long, you might actually be capable of that, but I mean I'll talk about it with you.

The manboys response that the suspension list was part of the boards culture. The double chance of reading insults that the suspension board provides.

So attempting to shame people is part of the boards culture.....to the point where the list is called the wall of shame.

The joy of needing to shame people, combined with the need to suspend people when one is in a "bad mood"....says alot about the foundation on which wov is built as far as customer service

so as a paid employee of wov.....all you have said is that you dont know if the manboy really feels that way anymore about suspending for psychological calming, and that you dont use the suspension list as a shaming vehicle.

So really what good is that. The manboy has not retracted his comment about suspending to soothe a bad mood. Until he does I can only suppose he still needs that psychological salve.

And the fact that you dont try to "shame" doesnt hold water, because you did try to shame someone by suspending them and on top of that declaring that they "are the weakest link" Adding an extra dig when they couldnt respond.

So you say you are above it all. And cant comment on the socially disgusting behavior of your co-workers.

Just realize that you are more like them than you want to admit.

The only exception is Face....who has consistently shown himself to be different and not allowing himself to suffer from peer pressure., or copy-cating peer behavior.

 

Speaking of Nathan, it is hilarious to watch him continue to rule at Mike's house. Go Nathan...or should I say Karen? Suspended for the bogus offense of trolling, he returns to the "Bad Casino Giveaways" thread that got him suspended and the thread balloons from 10 pages to 31 pages as he plays them all like a fine piano. New revelations daily.

They still try to shut him up and he never loses his cool. One mod (Beached whale the middle aged female) tells him to hush, just hush. In front of the entire forum...no PM for him. Another (Mission/Pav/BJ) closes a thread started by Nathan...just for spite. Hundreds of threads on hundreds of topics have been started in the Off Topic section and almost none get closed. Even SOOPOOP chimes in and says if he was a mod Nathan would be gone. Good thing he's only a secret mod.

It's such fun to watch Nathan/Karen make fools out of the munchkins. Can't wait to read his next post. Nathan for moderator. Go Nathan!
