In light of the " Underhanded Tactics " utilized by Harley, SuperRick and associates -

I will use THIS thread to ascertain WHAT - IF - ANY difference - exists between -

On-Axis tosses AND Off- Axis tosses ! -

AND - IF - I may interject a thing or 20 -

THIS is THE discussion that ALL will want to watch !

One can ONLY wonder WHY -

People who constantly harp that ON -AXIS techniques -

Do NOT work -

Are scheduling a majority of their segment in JUST THAT venue -

As an " outsider " - I can only surmise that THEY fully realize that their OFF-AXIS -

OVER-PRICED techniques are NOTHING MORE than " RANDOM ROLLING " -

ALL who I have spoken to who have invested in THIER OFF - AXIS programs are of the same persuasion -

One is far better off to just " chuck 'em " and use the $800 as a Bank Roll than to piddle it away on useless techniques -

One has to wonder - WHO - are their " EXPERTS " -

As NO ONE in that camp believes that ON-AXIS tossing works !

Perhaps I am missing something somewhere !

Do the videos that were posted by " THEM " showing that the dice when they strike the tabletop and the backwall are randomized -

OR - is THAT randomization ONLY in effect when the dice are thrown ON-AXIS -

AND when OFF-AXIS - that randomness is inconsequential or non-existent ?

I realize that the above words are more than 1 syllable AND as such -

Might NOT be readable by the majority of the " UNNAMED ONES " - particularly those whose reading / writing skills remain at the 3rd grade level -

Especially when they have attained the physical age of 65+ -

Amazing how something like THAT can happen -

Although I " do not write in paragraphs " -

Snake-eyes, I saw your throw when we played together in AC and it was damn good. If you received good instruction and that instruction has helped you do what you (beautifully) then do that is great.

Amen! I have no dog in this fight as in most fights here. Just want to know how to throw an on axis off axis throw. Or is that better said on off axis? Assuming there is no talent is a given, I'm just looking for the theory.

And THEN - Walt Diem - The SAGE - had an enlightening moment or three - where he discovered that HE had the " HOLY GRAIL " answer to the problems of short DI / DC rolls of the dice -

WHAT exactly WAS / IS - This Unique Discovery ? -

WELL guess WHAT -

INSTEAD OF SETTING AGAINST THE 7'S -AND ROLLING IN A CONTROLLED MANNER -

SET FOR THE 7'S - AND ATTEMPT TO - KNOCK THE DICE - " OFF- AXIS " DURING THE THROW -

And THEN - the " competition began " as to WHO could come up with / invent / patent the MOST ASSININE THROW imaginable -

WELL - when JP retired from PARR - Little Joe and Company - purchased his email client list and instead of hawking ON-AXIS dice lessons -

OFF-AXIS throws were hawked -

AND NO videos were produced / NO documentation was provided / and NO follow-up support was provided to those who struggled with this less than stellar concept of " Dice Control " -

The ENTIRE PREMISE behind ALL this " OFF - AXIS " shooting is simply the following -

Set the dice to an ALL 7 Dice Set - Throw the dice with enough energy / velocity to knock them " OFF-AXIS " -

And you just might be " Lucky " and make it past the Captain's " 5 - Count " -

AND - YOU Get ALL THIS BS for a MERE $ 895.-

AFTER signing a " Non -Disclosure Agreement " - NDA - that YOU will NOT disclose THEIR BS to OTHER Suckers !

So I said the hell with it and finally took their first AC class, and all the hype is nothing in compare to the LJ results. Back then it was less then $500, so I am not sure what it is today. But let's say it is $1000, which it isn't, it still money well worth spent. Same can be said for the late Walt Diem's Dice Magic. But the DM ship has sailed, however LJ lives on. You may think you know what it's all about but you are just grasping as straws in a tornado.

I do find it funny you are quoting SR and Harley...Harley? Really that is pretty amazing! Take the class, tell them Pressit sent you. You might be surprised what you'll learn. $895 to a big time craps player is carrying around/tip money, you probably have thrown that much money in with the dirty clothes. But if your game is aces, and you are taking money off the tables consistently you don't need it. Tip, should you someday ever see some oddball confused looking guy rolling dice down the table, be sure to load up on the Dark Side you'll make a killing.
