You say this a lot. I know you are advising players to steer away from fallacies. It's not that your pet numbers are going to do you any better, it's just that any numbers are just as good as any others on any given spin.

The point of a streak is that it's not just one spin but a sequence of spins that produce the streaks. Your mind must be wrapped around the concept that streaks come and go, and that when they do come they have a kind of life to them of their own. Take your pet numbers for instance. Let's say that you have 12 pet numbers, just for the sake of argument. Let's say that in 300 spins you will see a phase where these 12 favorites go into a state of dominance. In this period of dominance, if you were to bet just on them, you have a win rate that is far above the average for 12 numbered bets. Now what you see is that when they do lose they never lose more than 2 spins in a row and that happens very few times while your pet numbers are in a state of dominance.

Example: (Look at the "P" section on the far right.)
    Code:
    | X | X | X | | -- 33
    | X | X | X | P | -- 5
    | X | X | X | | -- 22
    | X | X | X | | -- 20
    | X | X | X | | -- 16
    | X | X | X | P | -- 18
    | X | X | X | P | -- 1
    | X | X | X | | -- 30
    | X | X | X | P | -- 11
    | X | X | X | | -- 15
    | X | X | X | P | -- 31
    | X | X | X | P | -- 11
    | X | X | X | P | -- 17
    | X | X | X | P | -- 31
    | X | X | X | | -- 21
    | X | X | X | P | -- 4
    | X | X | X | P | -- 2
    | X | X | X | P | -- 18
    | X | X | X | P | -- 6
    | X | X | X | P | -- 17
    | X | X | X | | -- 8
    | X | X | X | | -- 21
    |-------------------| X | P | -- 37
    | X | X | X | | -- 34
    | X | X | X | | -- 7
    | X | X | X | | -- 20

This is a pet set of 16 numbers going into and then out of a state of dominance. This happens to single dozens and columns on the table layout too.

There are streaks of situational awareness, a combination of sequences that look promising and actual effectiveness, while betting along with them to be considered. They come and go, irregardless of the over all odds for each spin. Your pet numbers go into a phase of dominance from time to time. These times last just long enough to win a few bets while they do. They always end at some point though. You can never know when that moment starts. The trick is not to treat them as a fallacy. Wishful thinking can't start them occurring. The trick is to always look at the effectiveness streak. You can have a dominance where a few losses are part of a huge dominance of your pet numbers and you, just by randomness, bet only at the times of those few losses. That's bad, but it does happen. You should have won. Your effectiveness state was in a lose dominance state even though you were in the middle of a streak of your pet numbers. Awareness allows you to side step the fallacies.

Some of us here dig the concept of situational awareness. It's common to see a single dozen or column go to sleep for 15 spins in a row. The more dozens you keep track of the more likely it is that you will find a favorable streak to test the effectiveness on. Casinos can't stop randomness from appearing to be sequentially favorable. It just takes a very skilled player to be aware of these changes when they occur.

Welcome to the forum. I like the fact that you help a lot of new players avoid the common pitfalls of getting started.

I'm confident that no one looks at the date of posts anymore.
The guy posted 2+ years ago and hasn't posted since - yet people reply as if there's a purpose to it.
Odd. And I wonder why people can't grasp how to win in a casino. Pay attention ? Just a thought.
