I think you misunderstood. The grandmas don't work for me. They're just other random players. When the progressive gets high enough or the machine only needs a few more spins to collect the big prize, one of us shoves the old woman off the machine and someone else in my crew takes over the machine.

Or sometimes we hide on the other side of a bank of UX machines. When someone gets off the machine, we gotta fight to get on it before the other scavengers do -- and frequently they are grandmas (not to be confused with the ones that randomly play....these grandmas are our competition). I've tripped and tackled them many-a-time. How else am I gonna make my $3/hour to feed my crack cocaine addiction?

The cleverness of this phrase is exceeded only by the poster's wit. And it's even more clever the second and third time he posts it.

 

My father was onto that concept fifty years ago. I grew up hearing about the "educated idiots" of the world while sitting at the dinner table.

 

Many people tend to draw a distinction between what they call "common sense" and "book learning."

I suppose it comes down to "real life experience" vs. "what's taught at school."

Ideally, they meld and blend seamlessly together, but when they don't, the results are often ugly.

Sort of like Trump vs. Hillary: the two different camps, personified.

 

I know many people that are highly educated and dumb as fuck.

It's no coincidence, they're all liberals.

What's really funny about it, though, is this -- look back at the post Larry is quoting when he says that. Umm....what? There's no indication that "education exceeds intelligence" in the post he's referring to. It's not even in the ball-pack. Here's what Larry was responding to:

yes it goes off topic at times...but in general we always get back to the manboy and beached whale as thetopic at hand.
