when you see words like that above, people can make assumptions that shackleford is involved . But really he is not directly touting the casinos.
It is worded carefully. However using the words wizard, or wizard of odds, along with a characature of the manboy.....is helpful to get people to click on the ad.

So even if manboy does nothing as far as helping customer service, or posting articles.....his name and facsimile are being lent to the ads in obtuse ways.

And this helps get income for zuga and pals.

People often see manboy as a guy that crunches numbers and can recommend the best plays ....if a person thinks he is lending his name and image to an online casino....maybe they will fall for that connection that he is really picking that casino over others .

and the heading "recommended online casinos"......doesnt say who is recommending them.Maybe its zuga. But enough people may assume that manboy is still running the board...and the he is recommending them.

So just to have him around and have his name associated with the online casinos....and appear to be recommending them....must make zuga and friends very happy.

all the recommendations I see....are implied...nothing direct. Very carefully done. Bravo

 

I have seen the words "Wizard recommends or "Recommended by Wizard" directly above online ads. I'm sure they can still be found.

As for manboy's avatar or caricature, I still say it looks like Quagmire from Family Guy....only creepier. That's probably no coincidence.

The thing about it is that I don't really know or care all that much. My stance on it is that I don't have an IP match, so I am just going to Administrate Nathan based on the content of Nathan's posts.

I'm really not all that concerned about the public opinion because the most popular decision would just be to nuke Nathan right now. If I did that, you have a small subset of people (probably Freddy) who would gripe about it being an unfair nuke, but it would definitely be an overall popular decision. I'm not even all that sure, in light of recent events, that I would consider it entirely unfair.

If we keep Nathan around, then you have people (Freddy) who are going to point and laugh at the fact that Nathan is making us look like idiots, but then there are probably also people whose opinion I give more than zero shits about who also feel that way. SOOPOO, for one.

At the same time, people can gripe about Nathan all day long, but at the end of the day, that means there is an, "Ignore," button that isn't being used and could be. If nothing else, recent developments with WoN have provided some activity and entertainment for some, so that is arguably a positive.

My problem with Nathan, other than the obvious Trolling in that one thread, is that you get someone who posts a new thread with some one paragraph crap about Florida being cold that day, or whatever. I locked the thread, of course, and told Nathan to take something like that to the Miscellaneous Discussion thread.

I guess my final analysis is that I just don't put a whole lot of thought into Nathan absent Rules being clearly broken. Despite being an Administrator of the forum, I get the impression that Nathan concerns me far less than she does other people.

Without revealing any of the content, leading up to your banning/nuking, was there any communication between you and any other Administrator that would have occurred via PM? Just a yes or no.

Probably one or two others I might have Banned you for, I don't think I would have personally Nuked you for any individual post or the sum of the posts, but I could also be missing some context.

 

what specific sentence was rule breaking

was it the comment agreeing that he claims he was a bad business person

or was it commenting on him having the nerve to ask for a reason why people dont give him free money.....by giving the opinion that he was his own worst enemy....the observation that he caused the problem so here is MY reason for not giving him a free handout.

would it be better to say directly,....who the heck do you think you are asking for money and on top of that asking for a reason why we dont give your the handout. You claim you are a poor business man, and you claim that you punish people when you are in a bad mood, and you tell members not to let the door hit you in the ass....and you have the nerve to ask WHY????? THAT is why,.

is it hard to use ignore buttons, it seems that Kj knows alot of APs that ran away from this site, when all they had to do was use a feature like that.

 

It’s amazing after taking a few months off from posting at gambling forums, then coming back to check them out, only to find the same group of people complaining about the same bunch of bullshit over and over again. “Groundhog Day” at its best.

Alleged AP’s like Axel, and the same exact bunch still making the same ridiculous claims. KJ with his endless WOV saga. Mission always posting trying to sound like the smarter than everyone else guy.

Every gambling forum I checked out is the same exact way. Nothing new or interesting, just the same [removed, pay to advertise] over and over again nonsense.

I’m not certain what took me so long to realize how foolish I was to even participate in such boring nonsense.

Yet, I’m confident that everyone on these gambling sites will eventually come to realize how foolish they also were, and walk away laughing at all the meaningless time wasted being part of them.

I don't know what is with you and, "Alleged AP's like Axel," I've personally worked with him on a few different plays as well as on one protracted play. In fact, if you knew about the existence of the protracted play (and anything about me, personally) it wouldn't be all that hard to figure out what, specifically, the play was.

I don't know what your statement about me means, if it means that I try to sound intelligent when I post, yes, that's kind of the idea behind using the written word as a medium of communication.

But, yeah, Axel is an, 'Alleged,' AP and so marks the end of me ever taking anything you say seriously.

Just to be clear, you realize that typing that and the message that followed this one constitutes, 'Participating.' 'Participating,' is taking part in something, in this case a gambling forum, which you are doing by posting. You have described the act of, 'Participating,' as foolish during the very time at which you were participating.

I'll go a couple of posts with you on this one, LarryS, if you really want to. However, I will say that I am not going to invest a lot of cumulative time into discussing a ban that I didn't actually do for a post that occurred damn near three years ago.

1.) Technically, this post could constitute a violation of the Privacy Rule which is sharing the content of private communication, but I will admit that is a stretch.

2.) Trolling. The main problem with what I put in quotation marks above is that there is no way for the target of the words (Wizard) to defend himself against what is said. He can't even argue that the E-Mails didn't happen because, to make you prove them, he would have to essentially demand that you violate a rule which would be the disclosure of private communications. (i.e. Screenshots)

So, it's basically Trolling because you are making a statement that he cannot disprove, and in order for him to even be in a position to force you to prove it, he would have to demand of you that you break a different board rule.

Even if he wanted to address the other stuff you said, there's no way to do it without allowing the allegation of, "Over 20 E-Mails,' to stand.

You guys don't like liars over there. You allow the same handful of people to insinuate that Kentry, Aimee, Dean and Nathan are liars, and to outright call them liars, without a shred of evidence. Yet when an obvious liar makes dozens of outrageous, unbelievable claims, you all clam up. Why is that? Are you intimidated? Blind? Maybe fair and balanced?

Isn't it much more comfortable to go after Nathan who may well be mentally challenged? What's the term you use? Oh yeah..."retard". well your boss had a different opinion. He thought the part you mentioned was not trolling. Nor did he think Alan Ms post of 20 elevens in a row was trolling. My quote above was used by him as the reason.......Personal Insult.

Its as simple as I stated. You dont have to "reach" as you originally claimed...since there are plenty of statements made on WOV without proof.

Remember I was not talking about PMs. The manboy has no control over shaming me, over my personal AOL emails, or who I talk to on the phone, or if I rented a room at the HYATT and invited 20 people to talk about him. He can only make rules about PMS..since its a service of his company.

He has zero control over who I speak to, and he has zero knowledge if any or all of those people give me free reign to disclose out general conversations.

He cannot even do that on PMS if both parties agree that their conversation is open for the record. He would need one party to complain that he didnt give authorization.

Manboy was just offended at the analogy which stated simply that he was the center of his own problems and shouldnt be complaining or asking why I wont give money. Its as simple as that. And as far as 20 plus emails. Yes i have a mailing list that I accumulated over time on my private AOL email account that I posted on WOV in my personal file section....There was alot of talk of retaliation which I didnt want to be a part of. One person suggested that we all sign up for bovada and then all close the account giving manboy as the reason. I thought that was extreme,...and closed off the mailing list exchanges.
Although I do keep in contact under a new email.....with 4 from that list. 2 of which are still active members

But the list of people who I communicated with at the time was not the reason I was suspended for 30 days or nuked for life.

With Nathans exchanges witth Aimee.....he seemed interested in her as "nathan" and was grossed out when it was suggested that aimee was probably a dude. Still Nathan the girl could be a lesbian and still be grossed out that Aimee could have been a man. But it was misleading to fictitious aimee that fictitious male nathan was pursuing her

 

There's no word that WizardofNothing/StrictlyAP has paid Nathan/Dean/Kentry yet..I'm predicting two nukes in the near future over there, Nathan for being the top troll at WOV and WON/StrictlyAP for being the infamous 30+ page welcher at WOV.
