Exactly how you explained it. At $5/unit I’m in for $150. So doubling makes it $300 or $10/unit and so on.

if I’m really feeling good, I will go from $5 units to $25 units for a second bankroll to really speed up the process. That way I only need 6 wins at $25 net to recover and then I can work on profit.

cps10, great job! Your money-management methodology is eerily similar to my own preferred style, and so I can speak with absolute confidence as to the efficacy of this betting procedure.

Continued successes, my friend....keep up the good work.

Same to you. I don’t want to be accused of coming on here claiming my successes and then clamming up or just trying to hear myself talk. I like everyone on here but some contribute more than others. I want to help people succeed at the game. I’ve spent tons of money trying to find what works for me and this was a high priced expense but it’s paid off so many times over.

Much success to you as well gr8player!!

Thanks again for clarifying, I'll try it out. Typically my progression escalates a little deeper then yours, so will be interesting to see how your performs with those stop losses in place with doubling.

    Thanks

Tried your method on a few practice shoes, with one exception...I did 1,1,1,1,1,1,1,2,2,2,2,2,2,2,3,3,3,3,3,3,3 etc. So a string of 7 in a row on every level. Reset and double bets if I lost a buy in, only got to the 60 unit buy in level and bounced back. Dropped levels if I won 4 of 7. Reset completely if I ever was in profit or broke even. If I was down -26 from my highest profit for example, I would round up to -30, then reset with new bankroll of 60. Did the 30/60/120/240 buy in/bankroll strategy you mentioned. Stopped at +81 units on the 7th shoe, just curious if I got the general gist of your strategy. Thanks

I will have to take a look at it but that sounds about right. I have always come out ahead at one point or another.

Just looking at the first shoe, I saw when you had to move to 3 unit bets that you continued playing after four losses. At that point I would move up to 4-unit bets. I’m not sure how that would have affected it as I would have to look at it again. But if I understand you correctly, you only adjust before seven bets if you have won 4? Or are you just playing seven bets on each level until they run out and adjust after they play out?

I would just say work it the way you find is most comfortable. With the way you are doing it, lengthening out the progression probably isn’t a bad thing. For me, when I know that I have profited in a level I will reset or drop down. What that means is that in a series of seven bets, if I’ve won four in that series regardless of whether it takes me 4, 5, 6 or 7 bets, I will drop down. If at any time during any series I am at a new high of profit, I will drop all the way back down to 1-unit bets.

Ahh, I understand, 4 losses out of 7 automatically moves you up to a higher level, makes sense. I guess that also escalate you a little quicker. I was dropping a level as soon as I saw 4 wins on the level I was on. So if saw P,P,P,P in a row win on level 3 for example, I'd drop it down to level 2 automatically and not wait for the extra 3 hands to play out on level 3.

Well, you probably noticed I placed 2 units on my bets, because I assume the minimum bet will be $10 at the table, but I use $5 increments. Level 1 is $10 bets, 2 units, level 2 is $15 bets, 3 units and so on...regarding your reset at 4,5,6,7 thats how I played it in the shoes.

Yes. Again, it’s up to your comfort level. I like to go for the quicker recovery. However, as you said, you could lose three more at a higher level which puts you deeper in the hole. That is certainly possible. I say do it how you think it makes sense to your way of play. I’m more aggressive so I’m willing to take the risk to recover faster. I like how you’re doing. And at +81 units in that short period of time, you’re cooking with gas!

Thanks for clarifying. I'll test on paper for some more shoes and see how it goes, seems pretty good from what I see so far.

I did notice that. I do that as well. If I’m at a $15 blackjack table and use $5 as a unit, I start with 3 units instead of 1 unit = $15 whereby you move up to $30, $45, etc.

I love this money management. It’s the best I’ve ever used. I will likely never deviate. Best money I ever spent for sure.

I was using something very similar, except with a lot higher escalation. Yours is a lot more conservative and a lot less to track, very interesting)

It can escalate but nothing like a Marty or Labby. Recovery is easy. It works really well with my bet selection which rarely loses more than three in a row.

Nice) What bet selection do you use? As you may have noticed in the practice shoes, I used a basic PP,BB,PP,BB bet selection for purposes of testing.

Similar. I use a selection where I am looking for streaks.
