The holy book tells you that its down to time and chance. Ecclesiastes 9:11 - “The race is not to the swift nor the battle to the strong nor bread to the wise nor riches to men of understanding nor favours to men of skills but time and chance happen to them all.”

Imagine being there when its 6 Bankers followed by 1 Player and then 6 Bankers and 1 Player and again 6 Banke and 1 Player....and you are a strong trend player. Its all in the timing and you take the chance given you.

That's 21 steps to a perfect pattern. I hunt for opportunities like that. So let's say that you notice it after 14 hands. You've got to wager a big bet on is to continue.

If you win the first step then you can't get hurt by it any more. If it's a perfect pattern and it occurs once more then you have 7 hands that you know what is going to happen. Of course you don't actually know what is going to happen. But you play it as if you do know. "Dare to be bold." If you are prepared and you have even enough to go big just once you probably should.

I did it the first time I saw the perfect pattern. I had $60 and needed 12 bets to follow the pattern. So I used $5 chips straight up on the same 12 numbers and I bet the pattern. In 30 minutes I waked with $3,000. That was the beginning of my interest in trends.

Gismotrom from now on we should refer to the recently discussed M method as the

    L Y 2 1 2 HPB system.

212 is a great system for me because I like to stop at three net wins. I know you guys like to hammer the super hot streaks. I'm trying to say if one is just sitting there waiting to be hammered I'll take it. Because of that I don't expect anyone to see my point of view about chipping away at it with just three net wins. We are talking about a game that is not supposed to be beaten. But I also know that if you keep your head and don't self destruct you can try to win every session.

Some are self proclaimed winners without proof. I know M Dawg MM and is " old think" beginning 1 2 3 4 5 .

    2 1 2 is superior especially the L Y 212;

    Nuff said

I watched one video on Christopher and didn’t finish it and wont waste any time on him. Given the number of views he has recorded I dont think he can gather enough capital to be a meaningful pro gamer.

Thanks, Lungyeh. Just wanted to provide "proof of life"....LOL

While I don't post much on these boards anymore, I would like to take a few minutes to commend you on a thread that's certainly worth the read.

This game is just so much more about having the correct mindset and corresponding approach than most players realize.

The basic question, IMHO, is simply this: What can I do, as a Bac player willing to risk my money on a "negative expectancy" casino game, to put myself in the very best possible position to win over the long term? (Sidenote: It's imperative to take a long-term view of this game, otherwise you're putting much too much pressure on yourself to win each and every session, which is an impossibility.)

How have I answered that question for myself? By utilizing my personal Player's Edges:

1.) Only I can decide where to bet.
2.) Only I can decide when to bet.
3.) Only I can decide how much to bet.
4.) Only I can decide when to quit a session.

Moreover, I've fashioned these edges (read: my personal decisions) while incorporating my Patience and my Discipline principles intertwined. (Yes, I capitalize those two words for a reason....they are that primary to me.)

My Patience allows me to await the "when" and the "where" to bet....I'll await those shoes (or portions thereof) where my preferred trends are apparent. When the shoe is prominently spewing nothing but "chaos", I'll utilize my "no-bet" option. Conversely, when it's predisposed to dispensing results that correlate to strong trend plays like mine, then I'm all over it. You see, my friends, the serious Bac player is well aware that all that separates the "winners" from the "wannabes" at this game is their ability to await the correct table conditions BEFORE placing any wager. They're not there to gamble; rather, they're there to win. Again, it all boils down to having the correct mindset to approach this game.

My Discipline allows me to decide how many chips to put into the circle as well as the best time to pull back and end the session. In other words, I've taught myself how to "walk a win". Look, we all know there's nothing quite like the feeling of getting the better of this game....well, take pride in that walk to the cashier's cage and you just might learn to turn it into a habit. A very, very good habit. And so it's a rather rare occasion for sure that I would ever turn a winning session into a losing one....nope, I'd rather walk that two-unit win after I lost back three units while trying to get to my win goal of six, rather than turn that mostly winning session into a losing one. A win is a win is a win. Accept it graciously.

And we need to learn to walk a loss as well. We can't win every session, and so it's imperative to learn to accept a loss. Now, we want our loss limits to be as conservative as our win goals are. So for me I look to either win 6 units (and that's with predominately betting flat) or lose a max of 4 units (and most of my losses are less than that....I'll usually abort a session that's been like a "tug of war" even at a minus one or two units). Doing so allows me to gain an upper hand over the long term because of two reasons:

1.) I win more sessions than I lose.
2.) I also utilize a "session progression" where I'll adjust my base bet slightly upward after a certain percentage of losing sessions, all based upon certain variance statistics that I keep on my preferred trend plays.

When you're putting together your win goals/loss limits, keep them as conservative as you can. They'll deals the cards again tomorrow. Never let yourself get roped into playing any one session any longer than necessary....that's when your mind starts messing with you and you jeopardize all of the Patience and Discipline that you've worked so hard into incorporating into your play. Even worse, you're about to jeopardize your bankroll.

So, finally, the serious Baccarat is forever asking themselves while they're at the table...."Just who is it that's risking my money here and do they have my best interests at heart?" In other words, is your mindset, is your approach to this game, is everything that you're doing and thinking putting you in the very best possible position to succeed at all times?

And that, my friends, is where you'll find the real truth about you as it relates to your Baccarat results.

Stay safe and stay well, all.

Same old crap, but, less and less of it. Never starts out with anything of substance, so, never converges to anything concrete. Almost as bad as the Wizard with his math puzzles of the day.

People talk about baccarat being a negative expectancy game and how it supposedly cannot be beaten in the long run. Banker has higher odds of winning but you have to pay commission of 5%. Player has lower than equal odds of winning but you only win 1:1.

But to me this slight odds differential is to compensate for the many privileges accorded you by the casino and besides the comps et al, as gr8player has laid it out:-

1.) Only I can decide where to bet.
2.) Only I can decide when to bet.
3.) Only I can decide how much to bet.
4.) Only I can decide when to quit a session

As this thread has been discussing, there are ways to treat it as a business and profit from it as a business. It can be done.

I have a friend who owns and runs a small licensed hotel linked casino in Vietnam whom I visited late last year before the pandemic blew up. He used to run one of the smallish military junta ‘approved’ casinos in the borders of Burma/China.

He told me about how his previous small casino had a big time baccarat player visit and hit them for US$3 million and left and never came back.

Sometimes these people take unnecessary risks and are punished for it. They still end up positive for the year though.

If I was a casino, I would be cautious to face a player who can beat them at the game because the odds are so fine. Unlike the slot machines where the casino wins 20-30% for sure because its already programmed. They dont mind paying a jackpot for the advertisement it brings.

Baccarat, the smallish casinos have learned to manage their risks with bet limits. Sometimes they hunger for business and are hit as well. As the owner and operator his insights are invaluable. He says he is never worried if a customer plays beyond 5 hours because the negative expectancy of the game will chip away at the customers bankroll. So brothers all, the number one rule - limit the playing time. The rest we have discussed in detail in one form or the other.

Patience and discipline. For me, it comes down to peace. Be peaceful when playing.

Asian baccarat players are perhaps more wild especially those from Mainland China. Watching them bet is a real spectacle. Like if tomorrow never comes. I told the story of the China lady.

This is about a couple from China. When I stopped by their table, a large crowd had gathered as they held centre stage. They had about $4-5 million in chips and every hand they bet at least $300-500k. I watched the next 2 hands and they were on a roll. Now chips in hand @6 million. I went to the toilet for awhile and bumped into someone I know and stopped to chat for awhile. Away like 30 minutes.

Came back to the table and the scene was eerily quiet. He was left with @3mil. He bet 500k and lost. He bet 1mil and lost again. He wanted to bet another 1 mil but the wife forcibly reduced it to 500k and mumbled something in Mandarin to say lets go home with 1 mil if we lose this hand. And he lost. Left with 1mil, a squabble went on and the Chimp was now on full display. The wife relented and passed him 500k chips and left the table. Smart lady. The guy ploughed on alone reducing his bets to 50k, 100k. I walked away. Too many such ‘suicides’ to disturb my peace and I am not into schadenfreude.

In Marina Bay Sands (MBS) they have @50 tables operating at any one time. Smoking zone, non smoking zone, mid tier zone and high roller zones, private rooms; the whole works. The maximum tables have bet limits of minimum 5,000 and maximum 1,000,000. Those who want big range for their Martingale games should visit them. They have the balls if you have the balls. And the bankroll.

Stories about losses hopefully can reinforce the point of loss management and the importance of the Chimp. Maybe I will story you about winners next...

    Peace to one and all

I gotta disagree with the lungyeh cuz if a cat got a true winning style then it make no sense to hits and run, limit the exposure cuz if a cat got a true winning style then the more he play the more he gonna win, hey hey.

If you could beat a negative expectation game, you'd do it all day up and down on the stock markets, for all the money, just by guessing, from one moment to the next.

Yes bro Soxfan except that given the diverse universe we live in, there are none bar none who can do what you do. So we should discuss things that can assist those who can be assisted. Like I said elsewhere, some may find baccarat unsuitable and should just give it up.

Its like how many Jeff Bezos can there be? Or a Bill Gates? Although I think the American system has rewarded Jeff Bezos too much for promoting cheap imports from China to the detriment of the US producers

Sometimes I don’t understand those who continue to harp on negative expectancy cannot be beaten and yet continue to go in forums to rehash their mantra. If one truly believes negative expectancy cannot be beaten, one should just disappear and go find something to do that has positive expectancy and can make you tonnes of money. And accumulate your fortunes fast because very soon everyone will pile on a sure thing....

Here, we believe and profess that the game is negative expectancy. There is also the belief that it is compensated by the fact that control is totally in your hands. You can bet 3,000 at 4am and 30 at 1pm. Up to you. The casino cannot reject your bets subject to the table limits. And the other factors need to be addressed.

But really my advise to you and those that believes negative expectancy in baccarat cannot be beaten should just go find something else to do.

    Peace.

Sorry if I came across as a tad disagreeable. I respect the fact that there are some who believes that the negative expectancy of baccarat cannot be beaten. And in actual fact the loss ratios of those who play the game in fact supports this theory.

Nevertheless there is a small group who thinks otherwise. And who wishes to make a living out of the game. Entrepreneurs by and large, are a special breed. So are those who make a living out of baccarat.

Stay blessed and enjoy also the rest of your (x-2 seconds) life. It would sadden me if one enjoys only 2 seconds per day of his life. Just joking. I know its semantics. Peace.
