    "Throwing in a towel?"
Relying on whom to "fix" what?
    And who's "Kyla Shooter"?

Are you hearing voices in your head... carrying on a conversation of some kind with an imaginary friend, or are you just piss your pants drunk???

    Jboy,

As usual you're ruining the thread with your bipolar off topic banter.
The title of the thread is "Basics That No One Wants To Hear." Please try to keep on topic.

Are you picking on bipolar folks? Topic generations sometimes come from off the wall nonsense so let Dr. Sir Anyone Anyone have a chance at bat or two.

Ok....I'll get my cousin Larry to register so he can defend me (he never set foot in a casino) and we can all start over FRESH....like a war of sorts. Sounds cool. OMG, he's (Snowman) doing it again. Bringing down another board.

You killed two (GG & VIP) already Farnsworth3 << Maybe 3? Get it? :) Its very simple what he (Keyser) does. He won't post but a cronie will.....then he can say.....why pick on me, those weren't my posts? So damn old school Herb.

Wow, this is the post that made ne sign up!

For years i have been studying roulette related stuff: statistics, game theory, number theory, the mathematics of unstructured objects...

Just recently i decided it led me nowhere: i decided to create a board game (like chess) with the exact same ruled as roulette. I suddenly discovered the meaning of unconnected! Spins are unconnected. Not because they are random (which also introduced an unconnectedness, but of a different kind), but because every turn all my previous bets are whiped from the table!

It then took me 30 minutes to proof to myself that statistical play is doomed: always.

What are the elements of statistical play?
    - Using the past
    - using patterns
    - using triggers
    - etc etc
Essentially i now know that spins can not be predicted (with an exception for wheelbias and meaduring the speed of the ball etc). This is a fundamental truth.

What i also learned from my board game is that "my turn" (roulette is a turn based, zero sum game!) should have a very specific definition to have any change of beating this game.

While i was pondering how to beat math then, i stumbled on the posts if Turbogenius (especially the discussion between him and Turner): nice!

    Grts dave

What keeps on puzzling me however: how do you ensure a long term gain?

    Specifically:
    1. Long term i play a lot of games
    2. A game consists of bets
    3. I can place the bets and games in a table
    4. The rows contain identical bets
    5. The columns contain the games
    6. Not all fields are filled

The gain of my method is the sum of the results of my bets. I can sum the rows, or the columns.

A winning method is basically a method for which the sum over the columns is positive!

However, the rows contain identical bets: summing these should give a negative result: a contradiction? How can this be resolved??

    Thanks turbogenius,
It's an honor to be here. Of all the fora i visited, this seems to be the least crazy one.

Thanks turbogenius, for the shout out. As for your method of keeping track of your money it works but as for me number 4 betting the same bet I do not do that. I can bet $1000 or more when things are looking real good and have been known to piggyback on someone else's bet to make the minimum, or just bet the minimum, even I I still had lots of money to game with. I do what i want with my money. I have stated out and refused to bet both sides to pay the commission and i have played both sides knowing best case I break even worst case I have to pay commission. It's all a game I don't want to be a robot and take the fun out of it. I have used math logic and then done the illogical thing and still won or lost. I have never seen any shoe in any game behave with perfect mathematical calculations which I could use to my advantage. If the best case is 68% right in baccarat by betting banker on a banker shoe I am randomly betting player hoping to up that alleged 68% win the results are random I may loose more than 50% of the time I might get in the 80%+ accuracy but I don't have enough time to process all the data the game moves quickly and if I want in I have to place my bet and so I use my instincts and bet accordingly. If my instincts are off and someone else are good I piggyback with them. If I see someone consistently loosing I bet the opposite in hopes for a win or sit out and wait it out. I need more practice at patients of waiting out the bad time for the luck to change. I love the game to much and rarely break for long times. My friends that are bigger winners than me take two hour breaks watching sometimes without betting. Me I can't seem to wait 5 minutes when I am betting for hours. So a break to eat or go to freshen up after playing a few hours is normal. I need to remind myself that!

There it is, I was WAITING for ya Cgirl. Right on schedule !! :)

Listen up Kyla Shooter, method play will be around for DECADES to come. You cant stop it. You are a nobody in the gaming community, dont ever forget that. I could quit posting on every board tomorrow and guess what? You still cant stop it (ROFL). BTW, did you get the help needed for that nose candy problem you have? Many have offered to help you but you turned your back on all of us. That is a battle you cant win by yourself and you know it. Just say no to drugs please!! Take care Caleb Farnsworth (gas up that car buddy :) )

I hear that, often people are putting chips wherever I do as well.
When you're playing next to people and they see I'm winning, it's just normal for people to put chips
on mine. By then though I'm usually leaving.

I'll tell you how bad I am TG. If I am in the middle of kicking a** (not ready to leave) and players start to follow my bets, I quit. I would rather make LESS or lose, than to give others a free fu***n ride!!!

I don't mind giving some people a free ride. Especially if they were losing before I arrived.

Roulette has been good to me. So I feel obligated to help some players out. Sometimes gambler's need to be pointed in a better direction.

It reminds me of when Jboy used to chase sleepers. Some of us felt sorry for him because we knew he was losing horribly, so we convinced him to stop chasing the worst numbers on the wheel. These days he probably loses less than he used to lose.

I hate seeing other players in misery. I'd rather see other gambler's break even or win. Pay if forward, help someone out.
