Yes, as many people will say, playing games like this is a crapshoot. But the fact is, most of sports betting is a crap shoot for most people. So...

I'm a proponent of betting like dollar amounts, same size units. It's difficult enough to maintain the necessary winning percentage to show a profit without doing crazy stuff like varying your betting amounts with 1 unit plays, 5 unit plays, and nonsense like 10 unit plays.

That said, I do make two types of bets:
games I invest in, and games with small bucks on them just to have a little rooting action/fun.

Obviously, this is not an investment game.

The majority of my buys and recommended plays are college football and are from situational spots that I have tracked and logged data on for more than 12 years.

Again, this ain't one of them.

I have no edge, no stats, no gut feel, but I am going to watch, so I want a little rooting interest. But on what?

    The under seems obvious.
I don't like playing the obvious.

I looked at the rosters and saw Hugh Jackson is coaching the American team and thought, "Well, that's all I need to know, I'm going with the Nationals."
I figured it was as good enough of an edge as any until I looked at the National's and saw . . . Lewis.

Whatever, no big deal, pocket change anyway, I'll go with the slightly lesser of two evils and lay the -1' with the Nationals.

Good luck to anyone else playing this game.
