Criteria for Unlocking the Private Messaging feature

Hi Folks,

In order to reduce Spam and reward active members, a member must fulfill the same criteria for unlocking the Signature feature in order to unlock the Conversation (PM) feature.

1. invite 1 trusted colleague or more to the Forums using the Invite tab above (they must join via your link),
2. write 300 posts or more, and
3. have been a member for at least 30 days.

However, you do not need to wait until unlocking the PM feature in order to contact members directly. You can contact members directly by 1) clicking on their username, 2) clicking the "Profile Page" link on the pop-up to view their profile page, and 3) leaving them a message directly on their profile (called a "Profile Post") which they will be immediately notified of. Note that in order to reduce spam, you need to have at least 10 posts and have been a member for at least 10 days before you can leave someone a profile post.
