Poker Do you take a break from poker during bad streak or play through it?

I've noticed a pattern for me, I will play well and go on good streaks for two to three days and then start to decline and have bad beats.

Is it better to play through these bad streaks or to take a break for a few days?

(This applies for cash games too)

Variance is part of poker. Two to three days is hardly a streak..

When things go bad, I find tighten up my play helps, less hands, more aggressive when I play them. Lots of times a player doing well expands their range of hands to much, or believes they can outplay anyone after the flop. They become sloppy and over confident.

Well if you'd programm a bot to play a perfect poker every hands, it would also have to bear variance... There's no way to escape it... This is why people say that a good player is not especially the one who win the more, but the one who'll lose the less possible.

Why should it be more horrible? IT is just a psychological weakness...

Always smart to take a break, but easier said than done!
Everyone will have bad streaks. A good tip could be to play lower stakes and get some momentum back. Confidence is important.
