Its simple. If you are successful at gambling daily, and make on target picks daily.....THEN WHY THE FUCK TIE YOUR MONEY UP ON BETS THAT PAY OFF IN 6 MONTHS. If you are indeed a successful picker...then why not keep that cash and use it to grow your bankroll DAILY.
Why not parlay that cash and grow it daily over 6 months,,,rather than have it sit in the casino bank account..stagnant for 5-6 months.
Casinos love that.

I never let a casino keep my money for over a day.
Its my fucking money....its not for them to keep in interest bearing accounts while I sit on my ass and wait 6 month for a positive result that may not even happen.

John Patrick is the wisest gambler out there. I strongly encourage everyone to follow his advice. I stake my reputation of honesty and integrity on it. TRUST ME!

 

I found his books helpful when I first started gambling, specifically his "Craps" and "Advanced Craps."

Yeah, you need to cut through a lot of bullshit, but at the end of the day there's still a lot of meat on the bone.

 

I came across this John Patrick quote recently. It was from his book John Patrick's Baccarat but has probably been used elsewhere.

"When I walk into a casino, I am, hands down, far and away, the best player in that casino".

Confidence? Chutzpah? Patrick being Patrick most likely. Can I borrow that one .John? The dice have not been good to me.

 

I am the same. At that [point in my life I needed basic remedial teachings. And he gave it. Nothing that he "discovered". Very basic stuff that you see in alot of other books.

Where he loses credibility is when he comes up with crazy shit that cant be remotely true.

Like when he says he knows nothing about math...its over his head.But he dismisses math as irrelevant since it only applies if you are betting a billion hands. Or that "trends dominate" and therefore can be harnessed. Or that you need to predetermin HOW you are going to bet before entering the casino. Or that his new BJ basic strategy brings the vig down to ZERO.

His methods have been going on for centuries. Pulling back profit after wins is not rocket science of the 20TH OR 21ST CENTURY...OR stopping betting after a certain amount of losses in a row. Or bringing excess money, but stopping after losing 50 percent of it. "Limits" are centuries old.

But he has the gift of gab and can really bullshit a crowd....and he was entertaining at one time. I would watch his locAL cable TV show weekly.

But when you go back and re-read his books, after years of experience,,,,I realize there is alot of total bullshit, filler, and just wrong info.

However for a new guy just getting his feet wet in atlantic city...it was just fine
