INVITING NEW MEMBERS

Every new member you invite using the Invite feature of our site that joins and posts at least once by the time we reach the Target will earn you a raffle ticket. On the day the Target is reached, 5 random raffle tickets will be drawn and awarded as follows:

The first eligible member selected will win $100 cash.

The second will win $200 cash.

The third will win $300 cash.

The fourth will win $400 cash.

And the fifth will win the GRAND PRIZE of $1,500 cash.

So the more members you invite, the greater your chances of winning!

POSTING

Every post of yours in the Betting and Trading Forums by the time we reach the Target will earn you a raffle ticket. However, not all raffle tickets in this category are worth the same, as a raffle ticket from a Forum that has less posts is weighed more heavily than a raffle ticket from a Forum with more posts. On the day the Target is reached, 5 random raffle tickets will be drawn and awarded as follows:

The first eligible member selected will win $100 cash.

The second will win $200 cash.

The third will win $300 cash.

The fourth will win $400 cash.

The fifth will win the GRANDE PRIZE of $1500 cash.

The more posts you make, particularly in less active Forums, the greater your chances of winning!

In each case above, you can only win once but you can win in both categories! That means you can win up to $3,000 if you win the GRAND PRIZE in each category! And since we are awarding the prizes randomly, you don't have to be super active to win, but the more active you are, the greater your chances of winnings! So you can actually control your odds of winning!

FULL DETAILS, ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA, AND FAQ BELOW:

How will the "raffle" system work?

Super simple. Every member, post, and Forum has a unique ID in the Database. When the Target is reached, we will generate a random number within the corresponding set of Unique ID's using Random.org to find the winners.

For the Invites, we'll be checking the Inviter of the member whose User ID exactly matches the random number generated. If the member matching the randomly-generated User ID or their Inviter are not eligible, then we spin again.

For the Posts, we'll first generate a random number to select a Forum ID and then we'll generate a second random number to find the author of the post ID within the selected Forum that is closest to that number (if the number falls equidistant from two different post ID's, then we spin again).

If the member selected through the processes above meet the eligibility criteria, they will win the corresponding prize, starting with $100. If not, a new random number will be generated using the process above until a member meets the criteria. This process will be repeated 5 times ($100, $200, $300, $400, $1,500) for each of the 2 categories (Inviting and Posting) until all prize money has been awarded.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

To win a prize, the following criteria must be met for the Invite and Posting Prizes, respectively. This criteria ensures cheaters and banned members are not eligible to win a prize so that only real, active, and genuine members are rewarded.

Invite Prize:

Selected Invitee must be a genuine person without multiple accounts.

Selected Invitee must not be permanently banned.

Selected Invitee must have posted at least once.

Winning Member (Inviter) must not have multiple accounts or have cheated in any way.

Winning Member (Inviter) must not have won a prize previously in the Invite category.

Winning Member (Inviter) must not be temporarily or permanently banned at the time of the Giveaway.

Admins/Moderators/Staff/Bots not eligible.

Posting Prize:

Winning Post must be in one of the Betting or Trading Forums to be eligible.

Winning Post must be visible and not have been deleted or moved to ineligible Forums by Mods.

Winning Member (Author) must not have multiple accounts or have cheated in any way.

Winning Member (Author) must not be temporarily or permanently banned at the time of the Giveaway.

Winning Member (Author) must not have won a prize previously in the Posting category.

Winning Member (Author) must have an average of at least 1 post for every day they were a member at the time of the Giveaway.

EXAMPLE PRIZE DRAWS:

Invites:
Random.org generates the number 1052. Member with User ID 1052 was not invited by anyone, so we roll again. Random.org generates Unique ID 2059. Member with User ID 2059 has at least one post and was invited by Member "UserA" who meets all the eligibility criteria. UserA wins $100 and is no longer eligible to win a prize in this category. We repeat this process for the $200, $300, $400, and $1,500 prizes.

Posts:
Random.org generates the number 14, which corresponds to the Lottery Forum. Random.org then generates the number 8592. The nearest Post ID to that number in the Lottery Forum is Post ID 8603 which was authored by "UserB". UserB is banned, so we roll again. Random.org generates the random number 10583. The nearest Post ID to that number in the Lottery Forum is Post ID 10581 which was authored by "UserC" and they meet all the eligibility criteria. UserC wins $100 and is no longer eligible to win a prize in this category. We repeat this process for the $200, $300, $400, and $1,500 prizes, randomly selecting the Forum each time.

FAQ:

Why do I need to have an average of at least 1 post per day to be eligible for the Posting Prize?

We want to reward members who’ve actively contributed to the community, so we don’t believe it would be fair for a member who joined a year ago and never posted or only posted a couple of times to be eligible to win. One post a day is just 30 posts a month, so we don’t feel that’s asking for much as a bare minimum level of activity. This will naturally reduce the number of eligible members who can win, meaning it will increase active members' chances of winning.

But I’ve been a member for 1 month so far and only have 1 post, so does that mean I’ll never be eligible?

No, it means you simply have to bring your average up to 1 post a day. For example, in this case, you could bring your average up to 1 post a day by posting 30 posts today, or 60 posts in the next 30 days, or 90 posts in the next 60 days, etc. Just make sure you do so before the Target is reached and that you maintain your average after getting it up to 1 post per day.

But how can I post so much without spamming?

There are plenty of threads from the RSS Feeds (guests and Sparky) asking questions that are unanswered, so you can start there. Also, consider replying to other unanswered threads, participating in active discussions, and creating your own interesting threads. The more members that participate, the more posts there will be for everyone else to reply to.

How is the average number of posts per day calculated?

Numbers of Posts divided by Number of Days since Joined.

How can I see the total number of posts I’ve made?

Make sure you are logged-in and then click your username on the top-right of the site. Click on the “Your Profile Page” link. You can see your stats on the left side of your profile page. Your total number of posts is what is displayed next to “Messages”.

How can I calculate the total number of days I’ve been a member for?

Check your “Joined” date on your Profile Page and then use WolframAlpha.com to subtract today from that date. For example, if you joined on April 1, 2015, you would enter “today minus apr 1, 2015” in WolframAlpha and it will show you the time span in days.

Can I delete my account and re-register?

No.

Can I create Multiple Accounts?

No, and if you do so, we’ll know and we won’t tell you until the day the Target is reached, and you will be disqualified from all prizes in both categories, so you’ll just be wasting your time and this opportunity. It's not worth it!

You mentioned that posts in less active Forums have more weight than posts in more active Forums. Why?

Because we want to create a bigger incentive for activity in less active Forums to help them grow so that they don't get ignored or left behind by more popular Forums.

So how will posts in those less-active Forums be weighed more?

When drawing the raffle, we will first randomly select a Forum within the Betting and Trading sections, and then randomly select a winning poster from within that Forum. We will do this for each of the 5 cash prizes in the Posting category and a Forum can be selected more than once.

But how does that give more weight to less active Forums?

Since every Forum has the same chance of being selected, and every post within the selected Forum has the same chance of winning, then the less posts a Forum has, the less competition you have to win. To use an extreme example, imagine we only had 2 Forums, ForumA with 100 posts and ForumB with 1 post. Now imagine we had UserA who posted once in ForumA and UserB who posted once in ForumB. Both users posted the same number of posts (1 post) but they do not have the same chance of winning. If there is a 50% chance of either Forum being selected, then UserA has a 1/100 chance out of 50% to win (0.5%), whereas UserB has a 1/1 chance out of 50% to win (50%). So UserB has a much greater chance of winning despite having the same total post count as UserA simply because he participated in a less active Forum with less competition.

How can I invite new members?

Use the “Invite” tab at the top of the site. You can invite others via e-mail, Facebook, and Gmail/Google+. There is no limit to how many people you can send invitations to and you can even generate your own Invite links to share on Social Media. Those members that join via your Invite Links will be automatically credited to you. On top of that, we've made it super easy for members to join since they can sign up immediately using their pre-existing Facebook and Google accounts.

If I generate an Invite Link, where can I post it?

Anywhere since the standard Referral Link you can generate can be used by more than 1 person. The more places you post it (e.g. on social media sites, other Forum communities, blogs, comment sections, etc.), the more members you will refer, and the greater your chances of winning. For example, if you have a lot of Followers on Twitter, then you can generate a Referral Link and tweet that link to all your Followers to get them all to join using the same link that will credit each registration back to you.

How can I see how many members I invited?

Make sure you are logged-in and then click your username on the top-right of the site. Click on the “Your Profile Page” link. You can see your stats on the left side of your profile page. The total number of members you invited is displayed next to “Members Invited”. However, that won't tell you how many of them actually posted at least once to make you eligible to win as their Inviter if their unique user ID is drawn during the raffle, so encourage all of them to post!

I invited a member but was not credited for them. Can you credit me?

No, as it would be too difficult to ascertain that after-the-fact and would open the raffle up to abuse with members making deals to falsely credit other pre-existing members to increase their chances of winning. As long as members join with your Invite links, you will be automatically credited and that’s the only way you will be credited with a referral.

What if my Invitee never posted?

Then you won’t be eligible to win if their Unique ID is pulled during the raffle and you are their Inviter. The Invitee must have posted at least once (e.g. introduced themselves) for their Inviter (e.g. you) to be eligible to win. This is to ensure only New Members genuinely interested in our community are invited, so invite several members and encourage them to post in order to increase your chances of winning.

Does the Invitee (member who was invited) win anything when their Unique ID is pulled during the raffle in the Invite category?

No, only the Inviter can win, not the Invitee. The Invitee's User ID is only used to determine the winning Inviter. Invitees should invite their own colleagues and friends to join us to be eligible to win one of the Invite prizes. They should also be encouraged to Post to win one of the Posting prizes.

Can I Invite myself and create multiple fake accounts to increase my number of invites?

No, and if you do so, we’ll know and we won’t tell you until the day the target is reached, and you will be disqualified from all prizes in both categories, so you’ll just be wasting your time and this opportunity. Again, it's not worth cheating!

For the prizes to be awarded, must both Targets be reached (10,000 members and 150,000 posts)?

Yes. As soon as both the number of members is at least 10,000 and the total number of posts is at least 150,000, the prizes will be awarded.

How long will it take for both Targets to be reached?

That is entirely up to our Members but it won't take long at all if every member does their part. If our members each invited just 1 member on average, then we would reach 10,000 members in just 20 days. If every member just posted once a day, then we would reach 150,000 posts by day 24. So the target would be reached in under a month if everyone just invited 1 person and posted once per day.

How can we see the total number of members and posts?

They are displayed on the homepage, on the right hand side under “Forum Statistics”.

Won’t incentivizing membership and posts just generate Spam in the Forums?

It will probably generate some degree of spam, but we will continue to moderate the site and spam posts will be deleted and will be ineligible to win as we want genuine content from genuine users. Users who repeatedly violate our rules or attempt to cheat this raffle will be permanently banned from the site so they will just be wasting their time.

How will the prizes be paid?

Via PayPal or Bitcoin, at the winner’s preference.

Why not just award the prize to the Top 5 Inviters and Posters instead of raffling them randomly?

Because we want to give every participant an opportunity to win. If we only awarded the top ones, then newer members will be discouraged from participating if 5 older members have a strong lead from the rest of the pack. With the raffle system, every eligible participant has a chance to win, but the Top Dogs have a higher chance than anyone so there is still an incentive for members to participate as much as possible in order to increase their own chances of winning.

Why do you have 5 prizes in each category instead of 1 big prize?

Because we want to give more people a chance to win a prize. If members have a higher chance of winning a cash prize, then they will be more likely to participate.

All of this sounds way too complicated so I don't think I'm going to bother.

It's not complicated at all, we're just trying to be as thorough as possible to prevent cheating and avoid any potential misunderstandings. The important thing to remember is to post actively, focus on the Forums that have less activity to increase your chances, invite genuine people to join, encourage them to post, respect our rules, and don't cheat. Do that and you'll have a real shot at winning up to $3,000 while helping to build a great community. If you don't participate, then others will take advantage of that to increase their own chances of winning the cash prizes at your expense.

The contest will end when our community reaches the target of 10,000 members AND 150,000 posts. We are guaranteed to reach the target at some point, but how quickly we reach it depends on our members.
