    Hi
This may be in the wrong room but I am sure someone will let me know if it is.
I am interested in why over the years when I have devised roulette systems they have often got off to spectacular starts only to then hit a long downward run and end up losing money. What I don't understand about this is the following. If roulette is genuinely completely random and therefore in theory anything is possible, why is it that when you have a really good run and may be run up several hundreds of pounds profit and then hit the losing streak and lose it all, why is it that you then don't at some point have a repeat of the really good run that you had before and start to gain profit again. My current self designed system (I am aware that all systems fail lol.gif ) which has a basic unit bet of 10p made me £800 profit in the space of 39 days and 1700 sessions and then it started the inevitable downward run which it is still on. Currently I am on day 64 and session 3669 but I am still up by £218. But my question is why does this downward run seem to go on for ages and why do I not have a repeat of the spectacular upwards run I had in the first 1700 sessions. Surely if it is completely random that should be possible. But experience has taught me over 25+ years that it won't and I will end up in a negative balance. Any ideas why this is would be really helpful as I am struggling to understand it. Thanks Mike

Well, my simple answer to yer query is that you didn't test the style you devise sufficiently to determine if they were indeed, longs-term winnings style, hey hey.

    Yeah narh
    That is a incorrect statement

If YOU shave determined a “ long term winner free stylers” by sufficient testing then you would have the holy grail.

    There is no holy grail.

    ALL methods FAIL.

To answer the original thread posters question all methods work until they don’t.

You either recognise that, when and why and you switch to
    A) plan b ,
    B) plan c to x
    C) take a break
That can be demonstrated by some of the pages of gizmos reading random thread. Worth your while to view that thread imho.

Most people have varying degrees of methodologies, with in the method they term “ long term winners free styling drop the microfone” as I suspect soxfan uses. He has instances where only he knows is a subtle variation that creeps into his free styling .

It’s the same method but with different plan b etc at various stages. Not a criticism soxfan of your work, I am a fan. Cheers

I got some reasons that come to my mind to explain your spiral problem :

    - You use a progression : it is efficient at first and give you the impression that your system is a winner but at some point, because it has flaws, when it looses, you loose big.
    - You play online : all live roulette are rigged, don't trust them.
    - You play electronic roulette, no croupier roulette : they are rigged.

When you figure out and test a system that give you an edge without the use of progression, mathematically (Visual ballistic don't work anymore, casinos have roulettes that counteract that, and don't count on biais because they are carefult with that too) , and you build a strategy to make it financially viable, you won't have that problem anymore. but you'll need lots of patience, cold blood, and discretion.
