Lounge How can a board that drives away posters make it?

In the very beginning of my introduction topic, one member jumped over me and started personal attacks. We are not friends or enemies. We are here to merely debate ideas, help each other, explore things together and move ahead. We have a common passion; gambling.
Let us make this place having a class of a boardroom where talks, debates, shows, seminars are conducted in a gentle and civilized manner rather than making it a roadside illegal gambling den.
The right to say, "you do not belong to this place or you are a piece of ##### or being an author you have to be a scammer or talking of mathematical systems you have to be an idiot" should not be given to anybody. Whoever does mudslinging, namecalling and use abusive or filthy language should be warned with a red star. On a repetition, second star should warn him enough, with third incidence, he should be muted till he apologizes in writing and promises to not to do such things ever to admin can be unmuted after a month.
I can see at least 5 such members who after joining doing nothing constructive but only mockery. We do not need clowns here.
We have a report button here. Use that. Admin kindly pay more attention to that and take suitable actions at the earliest.
Whoever speaks filthy or attacks someone should be treated at the earliest. We just need a vigilant admin.

 

As an anonymous person I have no problem being insulted by someone i dont know and doesnt know me. Its not like I can be damaged by it.
If someone wants to call me an idiot...what do I care, for all I know they are homeless posting out a a library...a big loser in life.

When it comes to people putting their real names out there....like authors...I can see them being agasint insults...because the person is insulting a known person....rather than with me where its anonymous vs anonymous.

Having well known authors is a plus for any site, and I could see the administrator giving them a little extra protections.

I am new here for just a week ....its seems to be a pretty cool site. Kind of sparse.

Question--is there a link that explains what certain things mean....like "watched"........did someone put a camera in my house???

 

Yeah, Larry. I'm a nobody as well. I note here on this site, especially on the controversial issue of craps, there is a constant ongoing clamour going on between many experts and well-known names, all jostling for rightness and supremacy. What we often see is yet another round of puerile, massive ego-fluffery with an ancient axe to grind with another ancient adversary from the Dark world of Craps masters... book authors or not.

The (obviously) vast numbers of nobodys out there get quickly bored when yet another childish attack breaks out ad infinitum. What we would like to know is when are all you massive egos going to get the TF over it and write something we might all relate to, rather than the usual ancient bullshit stuff about personal enmities and bruised egos?

 

I agree...alot of anecdotal evidence is presented as fact...and when its questioned its a great insult.

its all good. There are sites with a list of rules well beyond the simple rules here....and the site is full of people complaining about rule violations by people they dissagree with. Of course rule violations by people they agree with are just fine.
The sites are over patrolled, and monitored by people who need the feeling of power.

Its not so here. As long as it doesnt get vulgar, as long as it doesnt attack religion or race or sex.....then some insults do not bother me.

As a new poker player I have learned a lot of styles and tricks and knowledge of the game .From the older poker players who have been in tuff situations. The younger players and players starting out can learn a great deal from these poker pros .Why disrespect someone who is helping you better your poker game for free with advice and videos or even poker books ..I have made friends with a lot of great poker players some are Pros who just treat you all with respect .. If you post a message against someone do it with class and don"t mess it up for other player who are here to learn from anyone who takes the time to Teach you ..This gambling forum has a lot of great minds on here not all will be agreed on but you can voice it with class ..I started a post about figuring out overs and unders in sports betting to try and help all I welcome the good comments and will learn from the bad comments too..The Sarge
