I Do Agreed! The Game Of Gambling In Casino Is Quiet Fun, That Is. You Had Favorite Gambling Game, Like Me? Do I Enjoy The Game Of Black Jacks 21 Cards And The Video Poker - Much I Enjoy 'Deuces Are Wild' And 'Double Jacks' Of The Most. Slot Machines Some Fun, But Not Of The Most Fun. And Do You?

You have got to be kidding! English is not everyone's first language and those people are usually fluent in several languages. Only the lowest of the low would ridicule someone who tries hard. How many languages do you speak, RS?

Tell us, what was the purpose of your post? I don't think even daddy Wizard would approve of that one. Your ancestors spoke foreign languages. Would you make fun of them? What's that pea brain of yours going to tell you to do next? Laugh at someone's handicap?

Most crack whores feel the same way. Especilly the ones that call themselves "professional gambler"....heck I bet there are crack whores that call themselves AP's. There is no regulatory body that says they are not in the fraternity.

There alot of carefree people who make a living without being in your tedious category of 9-5ers.

I PERSONALLY WOULDNT WANT TO BE THEM.

People who gamble for a living do nothing to help society from their "productivity". And they generally dont report all their earnings for a year if they do go positive....therefore the roads and social services are paid for mostly by the people with more visible income.

ditch diggers, walmart cashiers. dog walkers, health professions, lawyers, teachers,......at least most of them.....help people during their dayat work.
An AP sitting at a fucking machine.....does shit for society

So they can look at the 9-5ers and proclaim how much happier they(aps) are and assume the 9-5ers are so so unhappy.

I would rather be a truck driver and make someone happy by getting to my destination on time, and unloading the truck in a efficient manner....than to sit around.... hitting a spin button for hours upon hours.

good for you that you are happy with that self absorbed lifestyle....and if you have to look down on others in order to maximize your happiness....go for it.

You are right, Larry. I just don't do much for society. But then society never did a damn thing for me either.

LarryS, you're bad at interpreting what people write. Point is, most APs enjoy their "job". Many people don't enjoy their regular 9-5 job....I somewhat enjoyed my day job for a while, but most people I worked with hated their jobs. Very few liked their jobs.

That's not looking down upon others. But you can misconstrue it however you'd like, as you already have.

there are people with 9-5 jobs that hate their jobs. There are people who push vp buttons all day and love their jobs.

pushing a button n a machine reprogrammed to make you lose is something I can hate as much as 9-5ers who hate their job.

Just because there are 9-5ers who hate their jobs...doesnt make pushing a button on a machine any more enviable to me.

Unfortunately for you you have no idea how most AP works. Many do much much more than push buttons. I will and have played anything and everything with an advantage including sports, BJ, roulette, VP, keno various table games. It's actually always changing and oftentimes something new, different and fun, there's oftentimes a lot of planning, traveling and teamwork that goes on. Rarely am I actually sitting and pushing buttons all day long, and when I am oftentimes I'm sitting next to someone I know and there's good, funny and interesting conversations. I am oftentimes moving around and sometimes I might get to enjoy conversations with 5 different people in a few hours time. There's lots of comradery, side bets, jokes and fun especially when traveling. We put mouse traps in someone's bag a while back. We Turned someone's heat up to 90 and disabled their lights before they arrived. Childish pranks? Perhaps, however it's fun and oftentimes an adventure with more freedom than a conventional job. Laughter is the best medicine and I LMAO no less than 15 times this weekend.

As far as AP being a job that contributes to society there's lots of jobs that don't contribute to society. Who said you're job has to contribute to society? There could be someone who has a non contributing type of job but then they spend 8 hours a day volunteering for charities or helping people and donating to programs. What counts is who you are and what you do over all not what your main job is.

Some AP's travel considerably more because they are AP's, that's more.... airfares, renting cars, dinning out more often etc.
We also tip casino employees more, well some do (I have tipped out over 1k in the last 30 days one, person alone has received over $400)
Some advantage players hire people, that's helping to create jobs to some people who seriously need the money.

If my mailers are good I hit the casino a few times a week. If my mailers drop, and they do, I go maybe once a month.

When I was younger, without a wife and baby, I gambled excessively and foolishly - $20 scratchers, penny through $5 slots, VP without knowing strategy ect.

Now, as am I more aware of the math behind the games, I hate to play a less than breakeven game. VP is my game of choice and often enough I can find a progressive that is high enough to break 100%. I lurk these and other boards hoping to find little bits here and there to make gambling profitable - not just a low/no cost activity. Generally I lose most sessions, but the winners balance things out.

Good point. Many justify gambling as entertainment...the cost of dinner and a show. I can't sat they're wrong but when the dinner is over, when the show is over you have to leave. There is not one more bite or one more scene. Not so in a casino and that's where some get into trouble
