Poker I take risks when ahead in tournaments

    I was playing the PokerStars School league level initiation and was in 3 place with 60k chips and the BB was 800. So I get so trustworthy that I pay up to 45k chips looking for a flush that never came. That's not the first time it happens to me - how can I improve my patience?

    The saying goes like this: "Players chasing flushes go home in buses!" You are normally a long shot to win, so spending chips is the quickest way for you to siphon off chips late in a tournament, cut that practice out (only certain situations, where you have additional outs (straight and flush draw, with a pair as well as the flush), or you have fold equity (where others may in fact fold to your bet without seeing another card. gl
