House edge is a mathematical advantage given to house in terms of lesser payout or tax(like on Banker bets wins) so that they have an upper hand statistically or in simple terms they get opportunity to win more than they lose. This alone can not kill a player for sure. Positive variance may be at the side of player till he plays and one can win effortlessly on some lucky bets/numbers.
Give me only 45 wins and 55 losses in any manner you can and I will win a net profit in that, for sure, easily, through only one MM of mine but we can not never be sure and even 25 wins could come in 100 trials making it impossible to do.
