I'll introduce my baccarat background and reason for this posting later...
Since the title might have been the reason why many of you chose to read this thread, I'll get right to it.
    In this thread I'll cover:
    Part 1. My method breakdown.
Part 2. Bet selection (I'll save this for last post, because it's the secret ingredient).

    PART 1. METHOD BREAKDOWN
Overall bankroll: 25 units. (My unit is $100 now).
Units to take with me each casino trip: 5 units.

    Method breakdown:
-I'll ONLY make 5 bets, 1 unit each.
    Results can only be:
    5W = +5
    4W, 1L = +3
    3W, 2L = +1
    2W, 3L = -1
    1W, 4L = -3
    0W, 5L = -5
(Disregard Ties. If Tie, just pick up your bet and pretend nothing happened. Personal choice: I NEVER bet the hand right after the Tie, too confusing for me.)

Base on above results, after betting my first 5 hands, I'll determine:
    a) Quit while ahead: If results are +3 or +5, I'll stop and call it a trip. (Up $300 or $500 minus commissions).
    b) Quit while behind: If results are -3 or -5, I'll also call it a trip. (Take my loss, I still have at least 20 units remaining from Overall bankroll to have 4 more trips to make it up).
    c) I'll continue to play if results are +1 or -1:
Note: Again, my bet will ALWAYS be 1 unit each time.
WIN LIMIT: If at any point I reach +3, I'll immediately stop and leave.
LOSS LIMIT: If at any point I reach -3, I'll immediately stop and leave.
(This is very important. To practice discipline by not losing ALL 5 units. Not many people can do this.)

Got me to this point yet? Very simple right.
Now the harder part is BET SELECTION. I'm willing to share it too if I get:
At least 10 good replies from you guys. Reason is I just want a good thread, and maybe helping some guys out there too.

    Bad replies samples:
-Those who are -EV freaks, saying something like: "You'll never beat an -EV game".
This post is reserved for those who are still enthusiastic about the game of Baccarat, open minded to new methods.
-One liners, mostly negative with no direct discussion about my method.
    Good replies samples:
-Those who take the time to analyze my method, discuss about it freely with an open minded and positive attitude.
-Asking me more on my method and other winning related requirements.
(Trust me, to become a successful gambler it takes a lot. I've got to learn it the hard way).
    ----------------------------------
This is long enough to start this thread. Like I said, if I can see a good thread going on, I'll share PART 2. Plus along the way I'll share more of my baccarat background and personal experiences. ENJOY!

I play as long as I like, win MUCH more often than I lose, and without having to engage in any stoploss or stopwin nonsense.

Does that qualify for not seeing your part 2? That’s the goal.

I’m definitely open minded on learning to see if it fits my style of play and works with my appetite for risk. You have me interested!

Always looking for new ideas. This is interesting so far. Curious as to how long you have using this strategy, what was your beginning unit size before you built up to $100?

I'll bite out of curiosity. So far our way of thinking the game is aligned. From my experience Discipline is a vital tool ( Stop Win/Stop Loss). If one places more bets than takes free hands....one BETS TOO OFTEN. That's why all that mathematical mumbo jumbo like -EV and Probability are absolutely meaningless in very short sessions. Because in a short session Probability means "What SHOULD Be" and not "What WILL Be"

    Part 1.....Methods systems DON'T WORK!
Part 2.... Your "Bet Selection" DOESN'T WORK!

    End of story!

I'm happy that this forum is alive, and some good responses so far.
Not enough traction yet for my PART 2. But enough for me to share more insights into my method and what got me to share.
    Are you ready?

    Background:
I was very much a poker player all along, but mostly online back in PokerStars days. I just can't stand the long hours of B&M poker plays. Tried some WSOP tourneys and cash games but I missed the quicker online decisions.
I switched to Baccarat and fell in love with it since. It just suits my personality better.

I started off real good. Up low to middle xxxx.00 each trip was a norm. Long story short, eventually easiness and greed did me in. I became delusional and created so MANY bad habits (snowballing effect):

-Started playing longer hours (3-4 hrs, 7-8 hrs, next thing I know I stayed over night, and days).
-Bigger winning sessions, but NOT being to bring any home. Lost all back and ALL my working capital.
-The rest is history! (For those who have been through it would know. I don't have to mention here).

Back to baccarat, over the years I've tried them all. From +/-bet progressions, trending, "gut" feelings and all else...
But winning (IN SHORT SESSIONS) NEVER was my problems. Problem is (mentioned above) I was almost never able to bring any $ home. I was feeding the casinos pretty much.

So, 4 months ago, I decided to put a stop to all that. I told myself to try my best to have 5 straight winning trips (don't care about winning amounts), to stop the vicious cycle of losing.

I came up with THE method (see my 1st post) to be able to achieve that. And here are my results:
(I started with $100 units from beginning, which is low and normal for me (no heart pumping) because I've betted xxxx.00/hand in my heydays).

    46 trips up-2-date:
    +5: 5 trips (Result: +25)
    +3: 30 trips (Result: +90)
    -3: 9 trips (Result: -27)
    -5: 2 trips (Result: -10)
Overall Result: +78 minus commissions. (I won't mention commission again, just whole Unit Count.)

    IMPORTANT:
This METHOD works for me personally. At the end of the day I accomplished many goals:

    1) Control hours, by placing minimal number of hands.
-Averaging 1.5-2 hrs each trip now. (This was my biggest nemesis before).
-HIT and RUN pretty much. (You can defeat the Law of Average before it kicks in this way).
    2) Control Greed
-Discipline is the KEY. This is the ONLY chance you got, already betting against an -EV game and the mighty casinos.
    3) Consistently winning
-Small but steady. (I can easily increase my unit size to $150 or $200 if I want to win more. Trust me, $200 unit is NOT high for me and will not affect my game at all. However, I've not done so because building DISCIPLINE + PATIENCE are my key areas of focus now).
    4) Having fun again
-Having a good meal and a drink or two AT their place. Very satisfying because I have WON myself back (controlled greed and developed discipline along the way).

    Reasons for Sharing:
-Covid-19: Having days off from work.
-I've read other forums/threads, trying to see if there are any good info/methods out there to learn/improve my game from. What I found are so much NEGATIVITY, people biting at each other, using their limited self experience to attack other people's different way of playing/ideas/opinions. Not my forte. I want to create a positive-vibe thread, FOR EVERYONE TO ENJOY & SHARE THEIR EXPERIENCES so others can learn from.
-Want to share: For those who went down my path, having my exact problems before. Those who want to have another alternative way to resurrect their gambling "career" <--- Those who are beaten, but not yet giving up on gambling.

    Keep the replies coming...

Thanks for the two posts. You had 5 trips of +5 and only 2 trips of -5. You also had 30 trips of +3 and only 9 trips of -3. I presume this is due to your secret bet selection. Normally some experts recommend increasing the bet size after a -3 or -5 trip. Your unique approach recommends accepting the loss and start over.
Looking forward to future posts and bet selection.

Played2Win stated that he has learned his lesson from the well known fact that 60% of the people in a casino are ahead at one time or another but 90% of those give it all back.

Therefore the apparent reason for this thread .

P2W you seem like a descent person willing to share a success story. While l admire your honesty l'm afraid whatever method you provide will be criticised and possibly torn apart from relevant members. l for one have read many forums and the same story appears in all ...every strategy applied continually will eventually break down. However there are strategies that can be applied at certain times to optimise returns(e.g marty, wait a certain pattern etc). l would therefore be interested in hearing your METHOD to gain possible new insights not heard before. Lets hope it something "outside the box". Cheers.

Hi Play2Win, I am a gambler from germany. My gambling career ist pretty much like yours. I assume I lost in the last 10 years more than 20k. But I don't give up. First I have to work on my bad habits, on my greed and my discipline. Thats in my opinion the first step. Second I need a system that works for me. Short term is the key I think. It seems that your system meets the criteria. So looking forward to hear more details about your system. Thank you!

Yes, generally you are right. But in this case I meant short term sessions
