Post #10 My three most favorite Bet Selection Part 1

My most favorite is rather obvious and standard to many Bac players: The Consecutively Streaking (either IAR or paced-out).
    a) IAR would be easy to identify: either B/P streaking or Chop streaking.
Trick here is once you "think" such a streak is forming, BET one hand to get on it, and ride it to the end. Ignore all other boards/systems, because if you do and stayed out even just one hand, it'll be hard to get back on.
--> Even if you bet flat 1-unit, you'll risk a SINGLE unit if you lose that very 1st hand, but win as many as that streak allows.
    b) Paced-out: this one takes lot of patience. (See attachment for reference: a real shoe that I played on)
    i) #1 in picture, it shows Single Red for more than 10 times... Same concept as above, once I see that it stays Single Red for 3-4 times, I'll do a test hand... and if I win, I'll keep riding it to the end. (Whether I parlay my subsequent bet depends on where my session bankroll is at).
But usually I'll bet bigger and bigger, not risking whole profit though.
ii) #2 in picture, it shows many repetitive Two Reds. Here of course I'll chop it after it hits Two Reds.
Even better, the last portion of #2... it shows Two Reds One Blue consistently, which if I "believed" in that pattern I could have won more than 10 hands IAR.

    Side notes:
    1) This is why I prefer playing in a casino that has 10+ running tables, and allow over the shoulder betting when full. Then I can just look for and pick out the portion of shoes where a streaking is happening.
    2) These streaking shoes (or portions) do not happen very often, so once you are on it, make sure to take full advantage and hopefully be able to end your day there. I'd say about 1 in 10 shoes average that you'd see a Good Streaking portion/shoe. --> 10+ shoes going at once, chance is I'll be able to find at least 1 table that has such a streak going.
    3) Paced-out streaking comes in many forms. Here you can use your imagination and "guess" what that is to be. If you're wrong? 1 unit loss and you're on to a different "guess" for another streak. Still low risk high reward.
    4) Since Covid-19 returning, however, I've not been able to practice above strategy because of Limited number of tables, seats and no over the shoulder betting.

    Cheers, what are your thoughts?

Like a friend says when shoes like that appear, "Everybody wins those shoes." No matter what style we play we win when the shoe shows consistency.

    @Play2Win

Thanks for sharing from your experience.

Yes i want to learn couple of thing from this forum. Sometimes lose, lose, and lose again can crack my confidence although i dont bet big bet

I dont know why. Sometimes really want to quit gambling. But sometimes in the other side of my mine think is from about 7 billion population if the gambler about just 5 percent. Thats already 350 million people

From 350 million people is anybody can win in the long term. Not because not have a losing time. But overall can make profit than lose.

Thats is the think cross in my mind make me still not quit gambling.

Gambling is really difficult to control especially from inside mind like emotion, can accept the lost, etc. Thats what i think

I read your MM. If i am not wrong remember sometimes you bet when win 1-2-4-4-4-6 right ?

But sometimes your first bet can be 2-3 unit, 5 unit ? Are your MM flow the feeling you have ?

    Thanks

Ordinary_people, here in this forum you can learn from some accomplished players, like g8player Punkcity Jimske Assambac to name a few. They all have good experiences to share, just search them up.
-For what consistent losing can do to your confidence/psyche I can totally relate. If you read from the beginning of this thread I did mention about that a few times and what I did to get over it. For me the Turn Around point was when I decided to "do something about my losing" by going through a long Redemption Period to where I corrected my "accepting loss" mentality (or Degen problems, if you want to call it that way) and really identified What Works What Doesn't Work and really practiced that, little by little. It still a work in progress as I slipped at times too.
-For MM, for every session I break it down into 2 parts (on my winning days):
First is when I play with Starting bankroll-i.e own money (either at Start of play or at any point when I'm back to even), I choose a patient/discipline approach to get in the Plus (profit) by using a strict MM style (again, listed clearly here in my prior posts). Usually that vary from 1 to 3 units max.
Second is when I'm already Up, depends on what my Session goal is, and most importantly, my current HIT RATE, then I decide to press or not. Some time that means 1-2-4-4-4-6 like you said (but that's just one instance, I don't go by that sequence. Go back and read my post about Bet Sequences in this same thread). For example, some time if my Session goal is +20 units, and I've been playing for 4-5 hours already but only up +5... I'd do a 5 unit bet, then if Win do a 10 unit bet to complete my Goal in 2 hands. Of course that might work or not. But usually when I made that Decision I already make a "Mental Lock" to walk away if that 1st Bet lost.
-You asked "But sometimes your first bet can be 2-3 unit, 5 unit ? Are your MM flow the feeling you have?" Yes, and Not Really.
After the game has come to me, then Yes, that 1st bet can be any unit. And Not Really to the "feeling" you mentioned, because I generally up my bet when there is a consistent Trend going on, and how my current Hit Rate is. That is, if my reading "preferred" hands are hitting at a 3W-1L or above rate, then I'd definitely bet bigger and bigger.
------I'll write a post soon about that subject, rather a reminder to myself too------

Yes i read a lot from this forum. I take what i think can be a positive input for me.

Dont forget @Sputnik too. I think he have a very good thread but need lot of time to understand for me although still cannot reach 100% what the example he give.

Many thanks for your time to give the explanation. I still learn and learn although sometimes i dont know learn about gambling is good or not. LOL

i think the op says too much in theory.

    baccarat is completely random game.

the only way to win consistent is with martingale and play short time only (win and run)

the best odds we can get is by playing for short time and using martingale.

the more you play, the more your chances to lose.

i know many of you hate martingale.

but , the only way of gambling is :

    PREPARE FOR LOSING !

if can not afford of losing , just don't gambling, as simple as that.

Of Course! How no one else ever discovered that! To risk 63 units (your 6-step Marti) just to win 1! What can possibly go wrong!

I agree with you that my posts contain many info "in theory". And as much as I try, once in action it is hard to strictly follow the plan. As gr8player has suggested, I've compiled a detailed MM plan (small cheat sheet, solely use as a reminder) and will bring with me next trip soon. Will update on how it goes.
But I don't agree with you on martingale. I don't like high risk low reward MM ploys. Even if it works for you short-term (Hit & Run), it can also get busted at any time (i.e your 1st attempt at any session). Good luck using it though, don't sweat too hard on those 5th 6th bets. Cheers.

Thanks for the kind words play2win but maybe just a bit overrated as apparently I only post non substance posts and I would really feel bad if anyone went astray from reading anything that I post . I was surprised to read that I’m an angry loser as that has been posted by someone that knows my financial and emotional standings better than I know myself. I mean he must be correct as I have never meet that person. I would suggest you direct all future correspondence regarding any of my posts through the substance policeman . He really knows me best of all , cheers

Trip Report - A chilling September day

    Trip bankroll: 14 units.
Goal: 30+ units (in three sessions, if I'm able to follow and succeed in my plan)

Mini Session 1 (Buy in: 14 units. Goal: +16 units. Forecast time: 2 hrs)
From my past experience, this is always the hardest session goal to accomplish. Reason is: I can hit a rough stretch from the get go, down 7-8 units and then do an All-In to recoup (back to starting point or leave early). On this trip though, I started out slow...not up or down too much for like 2 hrs and still at even point. Then I happened to stumble on back-2-back Banker runs...when I got there it was at 10 Bankers already, so I sat out only to see it went 5 more times. Single P, then back to 1st B, 2nd B...I started hopping on it and ride it out. It went to 10 I believed. I got my +16 units here in that run. Actual time: I spent like 4 hrs on this session. Had early dinner right after.

Mini Session 2 (Buy in: 20 units. Goal: +20 units. Forecast time: 2 hrs)
It's early evening on a Saturday, lot of players/tables, my personal favorite. I got to pick which table I "think" had the best trends going on. A little chaotic on such a strange busy day (guess everyone is coming out now. I worn 2 masks btw, not sure if that's helping anything lol, just peace of mind I guess). I increased on bet size now. Gained +10 units like 2 times, did a 1-hand 10 unit bet both times and lost. Then I'm up like +10 units the 3rd time, then I stumbled on a clustered portion of shoe, 2nd B/P keeps hitting. I got on it when 2nd have been hitting on both sides like 7 times already, I gradually jumped on it... it went 14 times total, even the very last hand of the shoe. Overall I gained +35 units on this shoe. Actual time: 2 hrs.

Trip summary: +51 units. Time: ~7 hrs including dinner. Grade: A. Reason: Not b/c of the Win, but b/c I was able to strictly followed my Plan coming in, especially that 1st marathon mini session. That's an improvement from my recent trips, where I could have easily lost patience and "get it over with". Accomplished my trip goal, so that's an upside.

@Punkcity, I thought hard about sharing my Cheat sheet here. Because what might work for me at times might not work at other times, plus Entry/Exit points (i.e BS) are pretty much in my head. But after putting some thoughts to it, I'll share it with you and others here, because these are mostly my mental notes to help reminding me in case I happen to "lose" it at times. You might or might not see value in it. Cheers!

P2W: Interesting note.... For those who easily lost self discipline, take a note.... You might want to try it next time you headed to casino....

    Thanks for sharing..

Trip Reports - A few September trips

Since my last Trip report, I've make 2 additional trips. First one was a failure as I made the mistake of going to a casino that have all disadvantage factors against me, and even worse, I came in unprepared, wasn't in my "making money" mode. I went -38 units on that one. Again, another mistake of bringing more than 20 unit max Trip Bankroll rule.
Second trip, I'm ready to right the ship:
Trip bankroll: 15 units. Goal: Win back 38 units from above trip loss, more if time permitted (try to stay within 6-7 hrs max range).
As a norm for my other winning days, I started out slow and carefully. Point is to soak in, let the game come to me gradually. I went for almost 2 hours, up 6 units. Then do a 6-unit bet, LOST. Back to square 1, but at that point, I'm soaked in and in control of my play.
Switched casino, I'm ready to work. Took me another 2 hrs to gain my Phase One +15 unit goal. At this point it becomes quicker: increased bet size, more risk tolerance with house money. Stayed around at +20 units for like another hour, before my Patience paid off... long streaks. A 16-hand Chop pattern, and a 2-4-2-4-2 pattern took me to the finished line. +60 units overall, minus last trip Loss, and travel charges, I'm at +15 units for last 2 trips. ______________________________
This is EXACTLY why I have my self imposed rules, bringing <= 20 units is one of them. Be on my A game is another. Both of those rules (and a few others) do NOT guarantee Wins, but they sure do minimize the Loss and give me the best shot of winning. I realized that when I do something "out of the norm" it always grant me a Loss. Cheers!
