Is this similar to how in BJ the dealer "always has a face card showing"?

I'm not sure what kind of Keno games you're playing.....but I've played a good amount of Keno (video keno), and based on my results, the machine isn't "avoiding" my numbers.

well , there are some points to distinguish here, first, video keno acts like slot machine ,meaning its programm runs by random number generator[RNG] , second, live keno [ i think worldwide but at least in my country] ,its a giant software and sends the results from a central server[ possible multiply ] and the software in fact 'scanning'[ NOT RANDOM] and return the least amount depending of how much people wager [ not always but most of the time] ,third everybody knows what mechanical draws are .ex. roulette wheels, lotto , pick3, etc these are true numbers generators, i hope make things clear now

supposed that all these infos are well kept secrets , u can compare this with vlts that have predetermined odds, ,if u only think tha keno has 80 numbers, u can imagine how hard is to win in this game .

Hi there - It's been a while since I've been to this forum, and I thought I'd add some words for thought to this thread.

First, Live Keno that draws numbers by the "blower" or "bird cage" is as random as the balls, the bubble, the cage, dirt, wear-and-tear, and other "human" factors can make them.

Second, Live Keno games that use a computer for drawing numbers, now mostly do so by using the same program that's used in Video Keno. Many casinos offer both kinds of Live Keno games (like Palace Station in Las Vegas, for example).

Third, Video Keno (or any computerized Keno game) these days works off of a multi-tiered program using a closed-universe meta-game randomization, which is two generations further evolved from the basic Random Number Generator (RNG).

I describe how the RNG works in my book: "Powerful Profits from Keno", where I also explain why a "true RNG" really doesn't exist, and how, therefore, the program actually works to simulate a true-random protocol.

The Meta-Game randomization is used as a non-learning closed-universe AI (Artificial Intelligence), which then uses a three-tiered "scramble" protocol to "choose" sets of binary code and/or "clumps" several million times per second, even in between each event. This means that "patterns" which we, the humans, can discern in nature (and in Keno) are now far less frequent than before, and, consequently, the winning events using such patterns are likewise less common.

This, combined with the lower-scale pay tables which have recently been introduced in most casinos - especially those on the Las Vegas Strip (and the Corporate-owned and/or operated properties) - means that the cost of the game has risen exponentially, while the profits from hits has diminished similarly. This does not mean, of course, that Live Keno, or Video Keno, are no longer a viable playing option. Not at all. But it does mean that you, the player, will now have to have a bigger budget, play longer, and win less often. But if you have the bankroll, and the patience, then you still can make Keno, or Video Keno, a viable playing choice - largely because the top jackpots (usually the top two, such as 8-of-9, 8-of-10, 9-of-9, 7-of-7, and so on) remain at the correct payback values.

Keno tournaments countrywide are extremely profitable for AP's and have been for many years.

What used to happen to me is the following:
    I selected 7 or 8 numbers. Never got a 7/7 or 8/8 win, but pretty often I would get 4/7 or 5/8.

I thought about selecting 7 numbers and play all possible 4-spots with these 7 numbers, so that when I hit 4/7, I would get a 4/4 win which pays much better than a 4/7 win.
However this is too expensive to be played for many draws (there are 35 4-spot tickets from the original 7 numbers).

So I developed a system which minimizes the 4-spot tickets to be played (7 instead of 35) and guarantees a 4/4 win when you hit 5/7.
The system works for other selections as well. E.g I could select 10 numbers and use the app to produce minimum 7-spots to be played.

This works for me. Without raising my budget too much, I have significant wins more often.
The drawback is that I have to fill more than one ticket, but I play the same numbers for many draws, so that's not really a problem.

Being a developer myself, I would expect that the algorithm that produces the Keno draws could very easily take into account the numbers that have been played and draw the numbers with the least total payout.
Where I live (Greece), there is a several seconds delay from the time the last ticket is played and the draw is shown, which should be more than enough for such an algorithm to run.

However I don't think that the game is rigged (that would be the case, if the above was true). It has a high rake, so the house wins anyway. They actually WANT some big wins for the players, because if nobody won any significant amount ever, people would stop playing this game, eventually.
