The Many Saints of Newark >> 6.5/10 (I really thought it would be better but, all in all, not a bad film)

Boss level, 7/10

a Netflix film, re hash of Groundhog Day ish , with twists, fun witty one liners, refreshing lol afternoon kickback and relax movie. Something to watch now cricket is over, the tennis has been won by the goddess and the goat, and only two yes sadly only two nfl games this time around.

Cop shop, 6/10
Another Netflix film.
Had great promise lost its way here and there but recovered nicely. Some epic scenes that could have made this movie a cult ish movie had it not strayed a bit. Good Gerard Butler movie by Gerard for Gerard. I’m not a huge fan of his but he was very good here. He managed to share the love with co stars so expect good things to come in near future for all involved. Just like I said wandered a little and could have been a hit movie. Cheers

 

Boss Level is a crappy mash up movie much of it borrowed and rehashed from among other, the classic movie Edge Of Tomorrow. I'd give it 5.5

Copshop was better thanks to Frank Grillo actually doing a good job. It gets at least another point, 6.5

Desert punk 9/10
24 episodes , Japanese anime
Watch both English and Japanese versions, lol.
Pure fun and mayhem , future waste world set in desert ( climate change) , ideally suits potty humorists , etc.
helps if your as one dimensional as the tv series, lol. Streamed online, Artwork exceptional, anime fan ? then you’ll love it.

Don’t hold your breath for that to happen. Here in skipptophia if you’re in a relationship for 2years plus ( married or unmarried matter not ) when you split up the other half gets exactly that 1/2 of the house hold wealth. He’ll keep the wife. Cheers

 

Watching altered carbon, 2 seasons, again. Just as good as the first time around.

I'm very choosy about the TV series that I watch so I always look at two things, how many seasons was it on and how do the good reviews stack up against the bad reviews. I chose not to watch altered carbon because it was canceled after the second season and that's always a bad sign. And it got too many reviews like this one:

"The dialog here is just awful...but the plot is even worse. There's so many plot holes in the first episode it ruins any chance of being entertaining. If you like pointless graphics and no real purpose but love moral bashing and god bashing then you'll probably like this. However, if you're looking for an intellectual dystopian story then you'll be sadly disappointed. This series just doesn't make any logical or humanistic sense."

If a show has been on for five seasons it's usually worth my time. If the bad reviews are weak it's usually worth my time. If bad reviews really bash the show then I don't bother, that's why I did not bother with Altered Carbon. I do this because it's a very effective way to get out of wasting my time watching crap. Because that's what's mostly out there, crap.

Right now I'm watching the Gilded Age on HBO because Julian Fellowes created it and wrote it just like he created and wrote Downton Abbey. I saw every episode of Downton Abbey 13 times and I'm sure I'll see it for the 14th time. It's that good. Gilded Age is shaping up to be another one that's going to be a monster hit.
