Merry Christmas everyone, and wishes for a Happy New Year.

I couldn't manage to avoid Covid as hard as I tried, the whole family came down with it
on about the same day last week.
I've never slept so much in my life, but here we are and it's turning for the better finally.
I wanted to come on and wish everyone the best for the Holiday and let's make
the new year amazing - we all deserve it.
Remember what is important and what isn't.

    Cheers.

I got covid in February of 2020 a month before anybody knew what it was. I got it because three times a month I would take an Uber to the airport to rent a car to go on a casino tour. I didn't want want to rack up all that mileage on my car and then rental cars were super cheap. I would often get one for four days Thursday through Sunday for $35 total because I got the Costco member discount. The Uber drivers I had all they worked was the airport so they had constant exposure to covid.

I did not know what I had all I knew was I'd never been this sick in my life. I was so fatigued I could barely get out of bed to feed my animals. I had to hang onto things to keep from falling down. I thought I was going to cough up a lung. To this day I still have to take a nap every afternoon and I never took naps in my life before. Most of the people in my family and in my wife's huge extended family have had covid now. Every one of them survived except for a sister-in-law who is fully vaccinated but she had lupus which leaves you with almost no immune system, so she eventually died.

I have not been to a casino since I got sick in 2020. All the casinos in my state were closed anyway until the fall of 2020. I just stay home and play online now because they legalized it in my state. But I don't go anywhere, I get all my groceries delivered from Walmart. Everything I do now involves delivery. If I do have to go somewhere I stay as far away from everybody as I can and wear a mask. I do not want to get sick again because I've heard the second time is often worse than the first time.

Spike, I just read your story.

I was infected in March 2020 when the news broke out about Wuhan.

It felt like severe drowning and the worse attack happened at night. At that time I thought if this attack continue I'm sure to die. It's that bad.

Spike, I thought if we got infected we gain immunity. Anyway I'm fully vac.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year everyone.

For a while but it wears off and it's been almost 2 years for me. So it's long gone. Just like anything else you have to get it a bunch of times for you build to up real immunity to it. I thought I was going to die too, and I had no idea what it was I just thought it was the flu. No vax for me, the last vaccination I had was for polio and that was forced on me in kindergarten. I know way too many medical people right now who did not got jabbed because they say nobody knows what the side effects are going to be down the road because there was hardly any testing done. Plus almost everybody I know who's vaccinated has gotten covid. And even if you're not vaccinated the survival rate is 99%. Being a gambling person I'll take my chances.

Sorry to hear about that Turbo and it's great news that you and the family are on the mend. Let's hope 2022 is a healthier year for everyone. Supposedly as a virus mutates, it's strength weakens and the latest variant Omicron seems to be following along with much milder symptons than Delta.

Eugene, why don't we here on the news how its effecting the European market, the EU. when covid 19 hit all we got was what happening in Italy France etc. Now nothing.
Is Omicron running wild in the good old USA?
TG wonder if you'll have long covid, as we're told of it happening. Best of to you TG, no luck in it.

Most of the US will have contracted the Omicron variant of the China Virus by March. If you're vaccinated, no big deal. You probably won't even know you've had it, or will just experience cold like symptoms. If you're not vaccinated, pray that you get Omicron and not Alpha or Delta.

The last time I was vaccinated was in kindergarten when they jabbed us for polio. Does that count? It was a memorable occasion because a little redhead girl in my class screamed so much and squirmed so much that the nurse finally lifted her skirt and pulled down the little girl's panties exposing her bare butt for the entire class to see. They jabbed her in the butt and for us boys that was most exciting experience we'd ever had. Today that nurse would probably be arrested.
