note that the 3rd step doesn't get you ahead - if you win on the 3rd step you are down 10 and you then bet 20 - the 2nd step again to try to get ahead

after you have lost $50 after starting a new sequence any winning bet on the 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 or 9th step will cause a win of $30 instead of $10 as in a traditional marty

the total risk is the same as in a traditional marty
