Discussion in 'Sports Betting Forum | Sportsbook Forum' started by HighOnDice, Dec 1, 2018.

?

Do you see mutual bitcoin betting as a betting system that could work vs playing odds/spreads?

  1. No I prefer point spreads and odds.

  2. There may be somthing to this mutual betting idea.

  3. Mutual betting would be to one sided and never work well.

Anyone here into the mutual bitcoin betting at all. I just read about it a few days ago. Bettors basically win a piece of the other sides bets proportional to their "stake" or "share" of their sides bets.

For example the side you are on wins. You are 50% of that sides bets so you win 50% of the losing sides bets regardless of the monetary amount you get 50%. So if your side was a huge underdog you should win substantially more then your bet. Someone with 10% wins 10% etc. regardless of the size difference in the betting pools, people win a percentage equal to their share of the bets on their side. A self prescribed odds for going with the long shot versus the sure thing. If people made no sense you could win thousands betting $1 this way but it would have to be a real upset.

I hear people are doing very well with this betting/payout system. Anyone here ever uses it? I was thinking of trying it out. I don't know where the house makes their money on this. Perhaps there is some sort of a rake. The site I am looking at offers all sorts of sports, even e-sports.

Actually i'm often do this method, just to ensure and minimize my loses if ever the underdog did not win, and if the underdog team wins then i'll profit. The main logic about this method is that you'll minimize your loses.
