RSS Syndicated posts are not eligible to win the award because they are not actual members, the account username is pulled automatically from the source via RSS, they are labeled as "Guests", and they have no account here. Furthermore, we do not create sock puppets here and do not know who "Rhonda" is. We do get spammers and scammers, but our rules and auto-moderation deal with them effectively.

It's not whatever makes our day, we run a commercial for-profit website, so truth and facts and evidence matter when talking about us and our site which collectively are our brand. It is not arrogant to correct the record with evidence. If you do not like being corrected, then we suggest you stop making up falsehoods about us that you are unable to back up with any evidence (and most of which we can easily disprove with evidence as we have been doing).

If there is community support for this change, then we will consider it. Feel free to start a petition for it here in our Feedback section. But keep in mind that if we implemented that change, you would not be posting your feedback right now as you would be temporarily banned instead of just slowed down. That's why we opted for the slowdown as we consider banning (even temporarily) a form of censorship that completely silences members.

If our current slow down settings are not enough of a deterrent because folks figure out a way to minimize the impact of it, then we can easily increase the level of frustration. So, for example, if only 10% of pageloads are affected because users are bypassing the slow down, then we can simply increase the pageload time by 10x and it will have a similar effect because at some point the slowed down member will have to use their account if they wish to post.
