Roulette Our friend Nathan Detroit is not well...

We have been informed (who decided to contact us here after a few of us were concerned) by Nathan Detroit's daughter that he has gone onto a nursing home due to advanced age and frailty.

I for one would like to take this opportunity to thank Nathan Detroit for all that he has posted, and I wish that others who have been in contact with him over the years do so also.

I understand he may not be able to respond to all posts, but the blessing is he can still read and enjoy what we have to say.

Please feel free to post your regards below, I know he can read what you are saying, but not be able to respond in kind, but I think it will do him good to read your comments.

How old is Nathan anyway. I figure he's got to be in his late 80s by now. The first time I saw him was almost 20 years ago on gamblers Glen. He's got to be pushing 90. He was always a huge fan of John Patrick and I think he even met him a few times. He used to quote John Patrick constantly.

 

I was wondering why we haven't heard from you for awhile. I'm still waiting for that 3 X 5 Index Card you're always talking about.

I'd just want to say that it was ND, whom, I must admit, with his posts over the years that gave me the nudge towards DS, I look back at my earlier days with a bit of embarrassment at how I used to play. I have since learnt to view the wheel, only the wheel and not the felt due to him. I thank ND for that.

It's actually me, NDD (Nathan Detroit Daughter) here.
Just wanted to read & relay the good wishes to Dad.
He's already rolling into his 90's.
And he's with my mom so they're together.

 

It could be my imagination but I don't think it is. That........
You can tell a person's personality to a degree by looking at their posts over the years....

Nathan is truly a decent human being and when he could was more than willing to help others get a grasp at how he understood it......
I was lucky enough to recieve one of his roulette methods he used and had good luck with it. I thank him again for that.....

Also for several times being a truly good contributor to several conversations online.

Nathan we have never met but I consider you a friend...
