About 4 years ago skippy casino used the continuous shuffle machine on baccarat, I think 6 tables max, quickly dropped to 2 tables, they called it seven or something similar

On the felt on player side was a 7 card printed into the felt, player always started with a pre draw 7 , then bank drew as normal, of course there are exotic bets offered, 3 sevens, same suit, 2x7 suited etc. the novelty wore off after a few months or most of them lost their money.

I used to marvel at the numbers even with the rigging of results the similarities between bank and player was minuscule along the lines of 1200 bank 1190 player or such.
Personally I play rng so the continuous shuffle, no big deal. Imho

Should I keep programming this?

I could make it take out the Vig for each session.

I could take out the vig after 100 sessions play.

I could add a running total for each time you press the 100 sessions button, and keep a running column of test results. In that way you could test 100 sessions at a time and get a column of results that can be copied and shown here. If you were to press the 100 sessions button ten times you would get 1,000 sessions tested. Since OG is considered a per session strategy that would make sense.

I can't set this sim on automatic for 1000 sessions. I wrote it to populate a text field and there is a limit to how much text you can render in a text field. On my computer it runs 100 times sessions that first rendered and then are harvested by text wrangling and pulling the last line out of each session and storing those results, line per line, in a variable. Then the information in the variable is placed back into the main text field. The running total for each session is extracted next, line per line, and added up for you. That appears in a small text field at the top when all 100 sessions are completed. All this takes about 5 to 10 seconds. I can't remember. I have a medium speed laptop that is fast enough to work as my DAW computer.

So with an average of around 100 hands per session and 100 sessions these tests are using approximately 10,000 hands per test. Ten runs of that would be 100,000 hands. This is what is meant by power testing a sim.

I'm beginning to get a general consensus from all this that Jae's regression toward the mean styled Oscar's Grind method / system does in fact not work.

So now I expect that the rules that I have applied in the latest version of telemetry are the reason that it does not work and I will be told that the correct rules will not be explained any further, sort of like TurboGenius's wonderful trick of dropping hints.

This is what the sim does now:

It starts out a session at zero.

It goes on virtual betting and resetting to +1 ($100) each time the bets want to place a +2 ($200) value in the chart, line per line.

It only increases the bet by +1 ($100) during virtual betting phase if the running total for results so far are less than zero ( -1) or lower, (-$100) or lower, when Banker hits.

It keeps going until -20 (-$2,000) occurs.

It reduces the bet value of the last bet in order to reach -20. So for example it might be running at +4 ($400) when all it needs is +2 to get to -20. So the next bet value is lowered to +2 ($200). This is to be the value of bets when the Real bets start.

Once real bets start, under the assumption of a regression toward the mean, the last value of condition is -20 ($0).

The sim keeps going trying Win at +1 ($2,100) or Lose at -20 (-$2,000)

The sim stops playing the session after 300 hands and starts a new session at value zero ($0)

Ref: 300 spins is typically 10 hours of play on a B&M busy Roulette table.

I think is sucks beyond all belief.

It does just about as expected to do for OG as described that it would do by Wiki. It can have long stretches of won sessions, much longer than Martingale has, and still end up being worthless in the long run.

The magic trick of waiting for -20 to resolve to +1 is nothing. It's just "regression toward the mean." That RTTM has already been power tested and only confirms gambler's fallacy or confirmation bias.

I will run a few more trials of the sim and add taking out the Vig.

I don't want to put this in the software section because it might suggest that I indorse OG or any OG that uses regression toward the mean. I don't.

I will publish the source code here though.

I just ran 20 sessions without taking out the Vig for each session and this thing really works amazing.

Here is a picture of the sim after running twenty 100 session tests. Each time you press the (Run 100 Sessions ) button the result is placed in the text box to the right. The (SUM) button adds it up for you.

 

Guess what folks? It probably works just like Jae says it works.

Now everyone flip out and figure out what I did wrong.

 

The reason that I thought it sucked is that I had a swarm of bad sessions. But this bigger number test is sort of proof that it needs closer scrutiny.

20 X 100 X (20 (actual real money bets) ) = 40,000 real money bets placed during 20 times 100 sessions tests.

This is a good starting sample for validation.
