question about the $5000 giveaway

    hey admin,

    i just saw the e-mail about the giveaway. sorry about my long absence, i won $300 million in the lottery earlier this year and didn't want to lose it to gambling! just kidding, i wish had won the lottery! :p

    quick question about the giveaway. i see that to be able to win by posting messages you have to have an average of a post a day. fair enough. i'm far from it due to my absence but i just went through the list of members and most of them seem to be on the same boat as me. so here's my question, let's say i get my average up to a post a day by the time you meet your goal and i'm the only one that qualifies to win, will you still give out the prizes or will the giveaway be canceled?

    basically, i'm asking if i'm guaranteed to win money by bringing my average up if no one else does.

    In case this is a serious question, then in the highly unlikely event that you are the only eligible member when we reach our target, yes, you would be guaranteed to win. However, don't count on being the only eligible member because if the old members don't bring up their average post count, then the new members that join in the future certainly will as they won't have any lost time to make up for. On the other hand, you can get a head start on them and have an advantage over all future members by reaching a much higher total post count by the time we hit our targets, giving you a much higher chance of winning.

    thanks boss. i just wanted to make sure the cash will still be given out even if the participation is low before i embark on a posting frenzy!

    i just did the math and i've been a member for almost 300 days (damn, it's been that long??). i've only got around 50 posts so i've got a 250 post deficit to make up for to hit an average of a post a day. i better get to work! :cool:
