I've read alot of DIs talk about not ever having problems at the casino. It has been a few years since it happened but, I got told I could not set the dice or throw them the way I was in two different casinos. One I was trying to throw the dead cat. The other was and edge grip and straight down the table. One casino I waited for six months till I went back. When I did I was told when the dice came to me I could not set them and had to just pick them up and throw straight down the table. The other casino I waited three months till I returned they didn't forget me either.
How many DIs have experienced similar? Both cases people were setting the dice and trying to throw numbers but I wasn't allowed to.
    Anyone else?

It's happening more lately. Used to be common in all of the Coast casinos. Since Boyd purchased them MOST of that got flushed out, but it's still an issue at SunCoast. If you catch a hand down at SouthPoint you can count on them getting sweaty. On my most recent Vegas trip (last month) a couple of the guys in my group were told they could no longer set the dice while playing at Ballys. They were told by one particular floor person that it was Caesars policy that you were not permitted to set the dice. This was, of course, a bullshit move because the shooter was having a hand. We'd played there all weekend and had decent hands with other pit people with no heat. Also, we'd played at Paris, Cromwell, and the Flamingo with no heat whatsoever and posted wins at all of those properties. This particular pit person just had a bug up his ass that day. Or at least so it seemed. I later heard from another source that he'd gotten heat from another pit person at Bally's, with the same line - no dice setting allowed - corporate policy.

If this is the case I'll continue to move more of my play over to MGM. Caesars has continued to move away from being a player friendly organization since Eldorado took them over earlier this year. Comps have dwindled to nothing. I barely gave them enough play the last half of this year to maintain my Diamond status for next year, and I doubt that I'll give them enough to maintain it next year. MGM is being much more generous with comps now, for my level of play, so why should I deal with dickwads?

Why don't you just glance at the position of the dice on the table and then arrange them in your throwing hand when you pick them up. With practice, you can learn how to reposition them. If you can truly "shoot the dice" as you claim, this is a simple solution. Just practice it at home until it looks natural.

I'm also not sure as to why you're using a players card. If you're really getting an advantage, then it's only a matter of time before the casino notices that you're too far outside of theoretical and backs you off.

First....Didn't say I used a players card. Second....aranging the dice when they come to me....Kind of figured that out.....The one where I went back three months later.... God put her head on the table and yelled "Your setting the dice."

All I would do is turn one die as I picked them up. Had my hand where she couldn't get a good view. She had no problem laying on the table.

I didn't make a killing at either casino.... Each had one player that bet a little crazy and made out.....I'm the one that got the scolding... The only thing I could think is they thought we were a team.... We weren't....

They can and will make changes on you at their will at what they deem is their advantage. Youtube shows a nevada town that the entire town has a no dice setting policy. I don't know if the same corps own them or not.

No where did I claim I can truly shoot the dice. I asked a question of DIs......

If your a regular with or without a card.... You can get banned or told you can only do certain things. The illegal.... fine.... no whip....no slideing or what they deem a slide.... as far as I know thats all thats illegal....... though the guy on youtube that got jail time for sliding I would think they would have no rolled him. Its a stretch saying it was sliding by the tape but the jury didn't think so. They deemed it sliding because on the tape you can see the one dice number spinning and not changing. Similar to a whip but only one die.

That's why all these guys that tough talk...I would do this...Or I would do that..... Yeah don't think so.....It's their game....

Scary to think they can prosecute you because they lost....

I believe from your statements you have been singled out, the casino feels you are a threat.
It doesn't happen often, but I've heard ... " you are too good for us and we want you to leave" or " you can play but not shoot".
Mostly at casinos that sweat the money

Some casinos have gone overboard in making a big deal about dice setting. I also find casinos that don't have a policy about setting have certain personnel or shifts that harass dice setters and make their own rules "No dice setting." when it suits them.

Although I've seen the dice taken away from shooters for short rolls, tossing too high, not throwing down the middle, dice not bouncing before hitting the wall..etc. after several warnings.

Unfortunately, there also are a few casinos that have a rule " No Dice Setting" but that is for everybody.
So it boils down to.... is it luck or influence: and setting the dice brings up the notion that we can constantly influence the outcome and hurt them financially.
Whether they are right or wrong they run the show, play by their rules, or find another place to play.

Final thought, in reading your situation it seems like your welcome mat was terminated by a high-level boss, especially since it continued months later.

Thanks for the responses. Tinhorn, I know this will sound sexist but have you noticed female gods are more say distrustful than men?

You must be talking about Patricia Demauro, a New Jersey grandmother, who beat the odds at Atlantic City's Borgata Hotel Casino crap table rolling for four hours and 18 minutes in May of 2009.
I suspect she is one of those female gods you're referring to.

Demauro's 154-roll streak supposedly broke the world record for the longest craps roll and the most successive dice rolls without "sevening out."

This roughly 1 in 1.56 trillion crap roll is what ... we mortal crap-shooting men strive for.
