Nothing always works should be rule number one for anybody teaching how to beat roulette. It is a golden rule and it's true 100% of the time. And you are correct it's the one thing that people keep looking for and they will never find. Beating roulette is a tremendous amount of work because of rule number one. Nothing always works.

If something always worked, then that would also mean that something else would never work which would make the game redundant as a game of chance.

While nothing always works, it's nice imo to have a
system that when it loses, doesn't feel like a major loss.

Reading Randomness is about recognizing when it is not working and taking logical actions to prevent catastrophic losses. The same goes for when it is working. I like to attack the working situations, just like gambling teams do when they attack, in the game of Blackjack when the count is in their favor.

The problem is everything works some of the time. It's figuring out when those times are most likely that takes the time to learn. I say I have an 80% hit rate, what this means is when I see a certain combination of things happening in my experience I can accurately guess what's going to happen next 80% of the time. I always have to clarify this only works online where I can look at 90 outcomes in an hour. And even then there's often nothing for me to bet on. In a brick-and-mortar casino my hit rate is much less but because of all the time in-between spins I see a lot more betting opportunities than I do online.

I get what you are saying. How we all use the information that we have at hand will determine how successful we are going to be.

Paying NO attention to posts quoting bankrolls, winnings or losses in units .

Units are for explaining strategies of betting systems .

He must be, being that he's a very funny contributor. Still, it's so well written it begs the reader to try to figure it out.

How many throwout bets do you incorporate into your starting bankroll?

7 to 10. But that is a mistake. There is no earthly reason to expect it to always work. All it does is show you that you have a non funded bet selection that you then get to maneuver around.

Mark, By any chance are you still in favor of the Neural strategy ?

Cats can lose their shirt with that progression . A bankroll killer .

I found the PDF file: "1) Wagering a set amount until a pattern was identified and then increasing the wagers during the pattern."

The problem is that methods for bet selection don't work all the time. You must also have a plan for that.
