Blackjack Sizing Spanish 21 Bets with AceMT True Counts and Kelly Criterion

    The golden rule of betting -- Kelly criterion -- says that in any gambling, for optimum results, one shall risk only an amount equal to one’s Positive Expected Value (in %) as multiplied by the person’s bankroll, and if the expected value is negative, no bet at all. The rule is equally valid in blackjack and Spanish 21.

    In Spanish 21, after each reshuffle, the players' expected value is -0.4% and -0.76%, respectively, for S17 and H17 Spanish 21. Thereafter, every rise of 1 AceMT True Count will move the remaining shoe +0.77% towards players' favor.

    The following formula can be used to determine one Kelly Bet in Spanish 21:

    One Spanish 21 Kelly Bet = 0.73 x Players' Positive Expected Value (in %) x the size of the Bankroll (in $)
