And proceeded to make the Final Table and a nice chunk of change!!!

Tournament Blackjack is a totally different animal than a regular Blackjack table. Very weird things can and do happen and you'd better have an Angel on your shoulder sent by the Gambling Gods.

Only the Chip Leader from a table of seven players advances to the next table. I fought my way through four tables to make the Final Table. Here are a couple of things that happened along the journey:

15 hands are played and you need to watch everybody's stack very closely. On one 14th hand I needed to catch some lightning so I doubled my hard 12 and caught a 9 for 21!!!

On another table, hand number 15 I was ALL-IN and was dealt a Blackjack to advance!!!

The real crazy action was saved for the final table. $250K was at stake and was "Winner Take ALL". Six of us agreed to share the winnings equally but a 7th guy would not agree. A casino shill??? Just a crackpot? Who knows?

We get to the 14th hand and I put half my stack up. My other "teammates" were in good shape so I reserved half my stack for a split, if needed. The wacko, guy number 7, was on my left and I would be the only one who could wreck him if necessary.

I was dealt two tens for a solid 20. Dealer shows a 9. Wacko was dealt an 8 and a 3 for an 11. He gets ready to Double Down. One by one my teammates were breaking or drawing to only 17 and 18. Suddenly it was up to me to steal the lightning. I split my tens. The dealer puts two faces on each of my tens. Then puts a deuce on wacko's 11. I had done it. I had wrecked him. Dealer turns over a King in the hole for a 19. Tournament OVER!!!

We six pocketed $40K each. Two $5K bonus hands (officially making it a $250K Tourney) were dealt but our Chip Leader lost them both. No Biggie. We had kept our eyes on the prize and took it home.

That's awesome, I've never participated in any tournaments...
