I've been getting a lot of "single play" free play chips this trip. Those are where the maximum possible return is 100% of face value at a game like Baccarat, since they are one bet only and good only for even money bets. I've been averaging about 75% return on these which is very good I think. I haven't used them at blackjack because I typically just get stacks of 500 chips and very few 100s and without the ability to vary the bet properly, and for short sessions, such chips seem more suited for Baccarat.

I did a session recently where I was playing solely to qualify for a $3000. gift card. I played blackjack at a public table with a small bankroll (few thousand dollars), just to test out the UNKewl way of playing. I varied my bet at most by 12X and that was only once (won that hand). Rest of the time I was 4-5X.

The problem with such wimpy play is that you sit there for a very long time and maybe still not experience a count that is + enough to justify jumping the bet, and then when that comes up, you jump the bet only 3-4X? What a waste, that's no way to be and is not going to get you anywhere especially on short sessions. Which is why it's clear that trying to hit and run with such low X bet jumping is just a long drawn out process that could result in many many sessions without much results.

In the session in which I played, I was actually behind most all of the time, until towards the end I got ahead slightly and quit. My goal was just to earn the $3000. gift card, which I did, but it just goes to prove that the way I play is the way to do it: don't pussy foot around and jump the bet massively when the count is very high AND certain other factors (factors that people who just read about blackjack versus actually play don't know about) are present. I ended up playing over two hours, and that's not a hit and run session. If it had been an UNKewl hit and run session I would've just lost.

And that is where reality and what you read only in books diverge. I deal only in reality.

Having a private table with negotiated rules that make the house edge .1X helps too.

The problem with this post is that YOU have no idea how I play as evident by your description of a style that is nothing like how I play.

The bigger problem with you is that you continue to want to fight some kind of war (of words) with or against me, when I just have little interest in doing so.

The past two DD Blackjack sessions I lost -1500 on one, +4100 on the other.

The comps alone add up to tens of thousands, but all that matters to me...is winning!

This is one of the suites we stayed in recently.

Caesars Vegas Augustus tower, spa suite. 1510 sq. ft.

The beauty of this suite is the steam room and sauna. The sauna is quite big actually, not like the small one person one at the Venetian Executive Wellness suite.

It is a post like this that totally exposes you for what you are. Your claims of all the winning may fly with recreational players and players without real play experience, but any real blackjack advantage player, past or present, and any player with knowledge of blackjack card counting advantage play will read this and know it is not true, nor how things work.

Digging out of a hole back to even or slightly ahead is something losing (degenerative) players thrive on. You often hear them say something like "it is almost like winning".

But the truth is that for an advantage player card counter, such a "dig out" is one of the most dangerous things they can do. It totally exposes their bigger bets correlating to positive counts and EV situations that anyone looking, surveillance or pit will easily see.

It is far better for a real AP to actually "book a loss" that sit there and dig out, exposing themselves. Doing so is one of the major tricks to longevity.

When I play any card game such as Blackjack I keep track of the cards. Not just the count, but every card that has been exposed. At any given moment I can tell you how many aces for example have been played and what their suit was, and in so doing I know how many aces remain and what their suits are. That is the kind of memory I have. This puts my play in a stratosphere that is beyond that of most casino players.

Unfortunately, the entire deck isn't exposed or else I'd probably really be clocking the casinos. But my memory capacity and capability helps me a lot in casino card games.

Looks like the Tropicana is on its way out to make way for a new Oakland A's stadium.

Been in Vegas for a (no entry fee of course) multi million dollar winner takes all poker tournament. I made it past the round where I get something (nothing compared to a mill, though!) and still going.

In the meantime three sessions of DD Blackjack up a combined about ten grand.

EDC is in full swing! You don't really see too many of them during the day, but towards evening...yes. The weather has been on and off quite windy, with insects blowing around at times. Can't imagine the Las Vegas Speedway being all that much fun right now, climate wise, but at least it's not as unbearably hot as it has been in the past around this time of year.

What it is at times in Vegas these days, is windy

    and desert moth infested.
    mYrBFzpl.jpg

These particular moths apparently don't eat wool thankfully, but they are annoying and will fly into the house or room day or night and gather in great droves if given the chance.

Another desert creature is the cicada.

The thing was so noisy that I thought it was feedback from a speaker, but I found it...trapped in a spider web behind a speaker, and released it. Found another one the next night in the cracks of the walls by the jacuzzi, and had to throw some water into the wall to shut it up.

First trip of the summer, been playing not even that many hours...up about +100K already.

Still picking up promo chips, and haven't even used the ones I won in a tournament.

Quite a nice experience! Makes you feel like King of the Hill.

Cashed out about half of it so far.

No one can hang anything on you for carrying US currency.

When you win and cash out big, the casinos throw in a free money bag.

This is an underground one though, you need references just to get in.

$40. per 1/4 ounce? Is that a good price for the above?

None of this was for me. I was an innocent bystander helping out a friend. She says that the quality is top shelf.

This fairly long trip is coming to a close, last sessions have been very back and forth, ranging from winning +26500 to losing -41000. I don't have fun when it's like that.

    Time to wrap it up.

This was an interesting session. Occurred over the past year, not necessarily during the current trip. I reported it, but not all the details. I didn't want to report it too close to when it happened because I felt like the incident was memorable enough to stick in who knows whose craw for a while.

I played at a casino where I have not played in a very long time. I have a player card there, but no credit line.

I bought in for $35,000. DD Blackjack. 3:2. Regular table. Decent rules.

My min bet was 100, max 5000. I played in that range. I jammed the bet whenever the count was high enough and my total recall of every card played and the sequence of the most recent cards out, told me to jam it up there.

I was playing alone at times, with up to three other players at times.

Eventually, I declared that I was going to take every single (500) chip from the dealer's tray, and wasn't going to stop until I had them all. I wasn't collecting any 1000s, pretty much just 100s and 500s.

It took a very long time, something like ten hours of almost straight play. And there was a lot of back and forth, but eventually, with the final hand being a 5000 one I did it. Now, at this particular casino, every single (500) in the tray wasn't a fortune. But it was a lot. This wasn't one of the majors.

But what's funny is that afterwards, I ran into one of the players who had been at my table, who was surprised that I hadn't cleared many times what I cleared, as in emptied out at least all the 1000 and many of 5000 chips too, because this player mentioned that if I had played flat out there were long periods when I was winning every single hand. But, I didn't look at it that way, I was pressing only when I saw the edge.

But still, to go into a casino, declare a lofty goal, and meet it...pretty nice.

It doesn't always work out that way, or even close. But this time, it did.
