Far left or far right it's a scary proposition either way and a great distraction from the actual issue of living in a false democracy.

In the USA you have a handful of justices who can overturn any law they want to ensure the interests of the elite are always served at the expense of the people. The USA is a very wealthy nation but the concentration of wealth in your country sits in the hands of few vs countries where wealth is far more distributed.

Compare median household wealth in USA is $127,100 where in countries like Australia where democracy actually functions, the median household wealth is just over $1 million.

A real functioning democracy that represents the will of the people matters.

That's simple. America pays for protecting the world. Those days are drying up fast. It could be the times that the Chinese curse comes to mind, "may you live in interesting times." Wanna take bets on Taiwan? The squeeze play is on. It's a baseball term.

A ridiculous comparison. Australia has 25 million people, State of California alone in the United States has 40 million people. Our median income gets diluted by the huge number of blacks and illiterate aliens that live here. Comparing Australia to the United States money-wise is like comparing Rhode Island to Mississippi. It accomplishes nothing.

There is no dulution with a median. The number of people does not matter.

Simply order everyone from richest down to poorest and the one at the halfway point represents the median. No division, dilution or math needed beyond the ability to count.

So half the households in Australia is over $1million whilst half in the USA only have $127,000.

Population count does not factor into it at all.

My point is that a fair go for everyone and a fairer distribution of wealth requires a functioning democracy where the people actually have a say, not a situation with all power concentrated in 5 unelected priests in robes protecting the elite.

You are full of shit as usual. The quality of the people you are measuring matters completely. The United States has a huge number of illiterate blacks and illiterate immigrants that water down what our median income is. It's like you're trying to compare Sweden to India and saying there's no difference. Bullshit. If it's $127,000 that is a stellar amount considering the number of riffraff dumbass people who live here compared to the hard-working real earners.

Society is measured by how well it takes care of those that are disadvantaged. If you don't take care of them then guess what, you have exactly the problem you stating, a huge number of disadvantaged and poor.

Thanks for confirming that your "democracy" does not represent the interests of the people, including all those disadvantaged, it only looks after the interests of the elite though SCOTUS, it does not represent you.

No wonder so many don't bother to vote there, after all what is the point when you have a false democracy. And conversely can you ever have a democracy where people don't/can't/won't vote?

Your voter turnout is just above 50%, here it is 93%. You lag the world considerably:

One factor behind the consistently high turnout rates in Australia and Belgium may be that they are among the 21 nations around the world, including six in the OECD, with some form of compulsory voting

Why do Americans know the names of the SCOTUS judges? Hint: Where is the real power in the USA?

Most countries with a functioning democracy don't have power concentrated in 5 unelected individuals so therfore they have not the first clue who their most senior judges are BECAUSE IT DOES NOT MATTER.

But you don't protect. You instigate the issues and create, fund, train and support your own enemies. Constantly kicking own goals.

Why? Elite interests, not yours. Who benefits? Defense contractors, bank, oil, pharma.

    exactly ..

& how do you expect those, being the majority, to be the basis of healthy anything

.. at least in tyranny, for first you know where & how things stand,
& for the second it produces strong people (eg. Sparta, or any other)

not a bunch of wheeckwacks .. of which some who carry what was once known as balls thinking they are women or whatever pronoun suitable, & a bunch of frustrated, insecure, ugly, mostly fat chicks .. coz they ain't almost anyone else who can satisfy them .. firstly, oz they hate & scream against exactly that that would, & secondly, by their own fault really, thinking they are better than man, producing only wussies & gays

besides, democracy is bullshit, an illusionary veil that never worked, & at the same time it did, ironically

The United States does not have a democracy, dumbass, the United States is a constitutional republic. Big difference, but I'm not going to explain it to you cuz it's not worth my time. Look it up if you're curious. A republic allows for more prosperity and freedom, democracies pretty much suck for that. Google why do Australians hate their government so much and you might learn something.

I know you hate facts, here are some for all your handwaving it amounts to fuck all.

I don't need to google, Australians are politically engaged and have high expectations of our government. We have TRANSPARENCY, with live broadcast of parliament and question time to keep the dishonest bastards accountable.

    https://peo.gov.au/understand-our-p...k/question-time-in-the-australian-parliament/

We also have live broadcast: https://www.aph.gov.au/News_and_Events/Watch_Parliament

Basically our democracy functions as it should, with a regulated voting system and meticulous maintenance of the electoral role and preferential voting so your vote always counts for something. All the things your country doesn't do.

It's not decided by an "educated guess".
