Yes, it is as polarizing as the topic of religion.

    Same thing, basically.

Assuming you wish to have some folks who know what they're doing examining and evaluate your DI data / results, I suggest you post it at Wizard of Vegas and invite discussion.

Oh sure, many will disagree / flame you, but of all the gambling boards I am aware of, that one has guys who understand the scientific method and how it would apply to to DI.

In particular, a game developer who uses the handle "Math Extremist" should be most helpful in this regard: he loves craps, and like me would love to have someone "prove" that DI actually exists.

Otherwise, it's just a matter of faith, belief, and assertion.

    In my humble opinion,
For a lot of people who claim to be "Dice Control shooters" are really nothing more than a short throw artist who seek out casinos where the dealers are apathetic and don't care, and where the nobody is really watching the craps game to prevent short throws.

For the short throw artist, then simply make large field bets and set the V-2 and fire away. Often such an artist can bet the insides and set the V-3 and fire away. Two or three rolls, and then they pull down the bets and leave the table.

A lot of guys who pull this sort of hustle at the casinos have gotten themselves banned from shooting. Many casinos now simply warn on the first short roll, then start calling any short roll after that "NO Roll". I have also seen casinos simply dump the bowl after the first warning and tell the shooter that they are not permitted to shoot any further - EVER again at that casino.

I play what I can win at, and where I can win. Sometimes I play Craps, other times I am playing Video Poker. I have been known to play slots in some very particular situations, and I know my Blackjack basic strategy down cold.

As a gambler you always have to go for the win; losing is not an option.

Proof. As Mr V explained or Video evidence or SHOW ME THE MONEY.

Dicesitter who's been practicing on his own table for many years. From what I have seen he has the most consistent and best looking rolls(Even captured on video) I have ever seen And not just one or 2 lucky shots. Yet he claims to "break even or make a little each year."

Does anyone know anyone that's made a living and built up a significant bankroll from DI? Someone who's only income is from actually playing craps for 2 years+? No selling books, classes, videos, software or whatever. Not someone who's well off and can afford to play craps day in day out without ever worrying about going broke and claims to be winning.

Why in the history of craps has there never been anyone willing to step forward and demonstrate exactly how it works?
Why won't DI's ever accept legitimate challenges/bets offered?

How come I never see and DI's at places that offer extra incentives(some that yield a breakeven or + EV situation).
There's places that have ongoing promotions, special rules, good mail that would add significant value to a DI. They should be infested with high (DI) rollers.

Why do all the experts seem to be retired? Either selling books or classes?

It's amazing that surveillance hasn't identified the mysterious DI's who's consistently winning and analyzed their shots.

All other forms of anything legitimate has been proven both in practice, documentation, witnesses, mathematical and demonstration. Yet real DI has been the best kept fourmula around.

Now, now, I'm sure that Scoblete knows lots of guys.

Heck, he wrote a book about how guys are making MILLIONS from the casinos from dice setting.

He wouldn't say it if it wasn't true, would he?

His hero, the Captain of Craps, had a record roll.

Oh wait, he's a fiction writer.

    Never mind.

    Poor Aaron.

The guy was wound tighter than a top, and his life unraveled since leaving the board.

NTGL imploded, his wife divorced him: hope he still has fair health.

Life is a gift, people: try not to fuck it up.

There are quite a few people who are full time gamblers who do quite well, some better than others. Look up Bob Dancer or Richard Munchkin who are two of the more celebrity gamblers in Las Vegas.

If you believe that you will lose, then you lose. If you believe that the 'casino always wins' then the casino will win. If you believe that you cannot make a living as a gambler, then you won't.

You make your own reality by what you hold in your mind, or as Bubba says, 'God always answers your prayers, even the bad ones'

Let's stand up and applaud this quote from MrV.

I think appis disagrees with the "subjective" or "faith-based" aspect of the post, the idea that one's beliefs / faith makes a difference in casino gambling.

As a casino dealer with many years of experience, appis seems qualified to weigh in on the subject.

The dice roll the same for atheists and the devout.

Yes a few can have a slight edge. And a few will bet only the lowest house edge bets. And a few will only play at off hours on empty tables. The rest will lose.

You can only win at craps by knowing what you are really up against. Sure there are players that just happen to walk up to a table at the right time and can be making every stupid bet there is and still win, but that will not happen every time they play the game. Luck has a lot to do with some players winning and timing does too. There is nothing like being at a table at the right time when the shooter can't do anything wrong
