Instead of waiting for a number to hit 3 or 4 times just pick them randomly. You will get the same results. But no one will do that because they're too lazy to learn how to code, so they spend years tweaking systems and never see the big picture. What a waste. :(

Although I agree with this, I'm not sure its entirely because they dont want to learn code.

Quite the reverse actually. I find it fascinating how gamblers, sometimes highly intelligent people, can be so deluded.

Yeah that's the one advantage of picking hot numbers rather than cold ones, but on a random wheel it makes no difference.

I'll say it again. In 300 spins you can have a hottest number that hits 20 to 26 times. Even though it's the hottest number in the session, it can still have a stretch where it sleeps for as much as 90 spins.

You can test for this with a sim. If you are going to bet on a hottest or several hot numbers you should be prepared on how to deal with their nature. If you flat bet the 300 spins and you get 9 winners then you are close to even. If you have a progression to deal with say 120 losses in a row then you might win most of the time. I never tried to write a 120 spin progression for a single number. Anybody got one?

I saw the accusation. It's hard to believe that Mike and Bayes are the same person.

Do 38 different numbers appear in 38 spins ?
Does the same number appear 38 times in a row ?
Does this obviously prove that numbers will repeat (given you answer no to both of those easy questions).
Does the house edge apply when a number doesn't appear and I never placed a bet on it ?

    No (probably), No, Yes, No.

What's your point? There are plenty of other things that won't happen in roulette, but these "limitations" don't prove that it's possible to win.
