Here is a secret way to run a construction crew. You need competent craftsmen that can do each thing they are tasked to do in their sleep, and that do it right every time, and just about as fast as it can be done. They are so good at what they do that they almost never actually talk about the job why they are working. There might be just a few, "how do you want this done." questions in a day or two. The only apprentices on the job are people worth training, that show signs of being competent and qualified craftsmen. Work is fun because it's never a training school and never tolerates idiots that see objections as a personal attack on their egos. I know this because that was what my crews were like. When you have people like that you pay them more than the industry standard in order to keep them busy and happy.

So when these invader assholes came along and underbid the market and then trash everything they touch, it is no longer worth it to try and build on top of their fucked up foundations. People don't want quality. They want bullshit that is perceived as value at a cheap price. They don't want anyone to know that there are massive mistakes in their structures because if that were known and assessed properly, their investment would go down in value. It's funny because any expert can find all the fuck ups and blow the lid off of everything. That's why I suggested that there could be a thing known as the illegal alien era buildings.

So there is going to have to be construction schools for American workers. The old guys are going to have to teach a new generation how to bust ass and like it. It has nothing to do with race. It's all about attitude and the actual desire to learn to be a craftsman. It's also about assimilating into our culture with English only as the prerequisite.

That could be fun. I would pre-fab the section parts. I would create sections for all percent grades in a flat area near the erection sites. I would put a D-10 bulldozer out front, followed by a giant caisson drill that drills holes 12 feet deep. Into that would be prefabricated precast 40ft tall fence posts dropped in by Erickson Sky Crane followed by a second Sky Crane with enough wet concrete in a hanging basket to set the posts in a vertical position. Behind that several sections of the fence/wall would be set into trenches and run between the wall posts. The only skilled workers would be the supervisors at the prefab site and the actual steel men that set the iron when the wall goes up. I'll bet one crew like that could set a mile per day. Ten crews could set ten miles per day. There are about 1,500 miles to cover with about 50 to 100 miles of that unnecessary because of cliff dangers. So a bust ass crew, a Hoover Dam like project for this wall, could get it done in less than 200 days. But the materials and crews must be lined up with all the ducks in a row. There will be so much red tape and nepotism on this that they might as well build a bridge to outer space. Every inch will have every bureaucracy within 100 miles of the wall with its hands out obstructing the start.

If you think Trump is some kind of shoot from the hip cowboy yelling yee haw with his wrecking ball now, just wait till he eats these bureaucrats a new asshole. The wall is not going to become some lifelong jobs program for Jerry's Kids.
