As a dealer, I observed countless daily grinders of the game. A rare few stands out. Curious about their lifetime win/loss I consult my dear supervisor to look into their ratings. Yes, there are lifetime winners of the game. I followed one particular regular of the game. He would flat bet for like an hour and then the denomination starts changing. He wins most of the time and his winnings are very inconsistent. But one peculiar thing is his STOP LOSS total is always the same. If I see him playing more than 2 hrs, he is 100% up.

This prompted me to think that any method can win. They all work when they are working. Have a healthy bankroll and ONLY play on a winning day. Once you reach your stop loss, quit. ON a winning day, shoot for the moon.

Try this: Only play a minimum bet on one of the EC outside bets while tracking a guess that would have been a full sized bet, a bet that would be at least 20 times the minimum bet had you made it. When you enter a win streak start betting the big bets. This will make your stop loss way less painful. Every lost bet is a signal that the win streak has ended or that if you get two lost bets in a row the domination of singles on the weak side has ended. Just drop back to virtual bets until the win streaks fires back up. It takes situational awareness that has almost nothing to do with math and odds. This is exactly why the mathboyz logic is completely irrelevant. It is completely true that the odds on the next hand, spin, or roll of the dice are slightly better for the casino. Big deal. You don't need any more information. The forums are irrelevant too. This is the holy grail. Now try to perfect that into a life of success. Gambling to win is not a time to go have fun. It is a time to go to war and win it.

Very good post. Here is another thing to look at. Depending on how/why you are playing but if you are playing for a living as I am, an important component is playing to a win goal and stop. My win goal is +3 with a declining win goal as the shoe progresses. If I win three units in the shoe within the first 25 hands I am out. If I am in the shoe after hand 25 then things are necessarily going my way, I have not hit my stop loss of -5. after hand 25 my win goal is +2 and then after hand 50 it is anything positive to pay for the vig.

I know what everyone is saying, yes it is a low win goal but even if I walk away with +2, I am still walking away with a pretty good amount of money with the unit size that I am playing. Of course, this is not a way of playing with someone who is playing red but imaging if you could walk away +2 or 3 playing high black or purple.

    ***Important***

There is no honor for playing the entire shoe, you don't get a gold star like when you were a kid in school. My goal is to take their money on my terms in the shortest amount of time possible and leave for another shoe.

lol . Damn JBS, I saw someone replied and didn't fit the name with the piece of trash behind your computer. I never should have wasted my time in looking at it. Funny, my bank account begs to differ. Does it get you off just putting stupid stuff on like this? You have never contributed anything to this. The moderators of this site should just kick you off because you are an a s s hole. Happy Holidays though. lol

Craps, don't listen to many which I am sure you have already heard billions of times and variations. Most dealers do not play. However, some are very into the games. Dealers, floor managers, executive manager types see a lot of play and a lot of players. They see everything and often have good advice. In fact, two players with skill can have very countering strategies, both have a losing win/ loss percentages, and still make money due to good bet size progression. Also, stop loss and trailing stop loss are the two most important aspects of the game. Most every player can improve on this and this is one of the few parts of the game where a player is in total control.

For example, a player walks in with $1,000. Instead of the other world famous bet $1,000... win/ lose go home, they start playing with out their approach. They reach whatever stop loss they set AND BOOM THAT IS IT. They pull their game and stop play. This can happen lighting quick or much faster than expected. Some will say this is so obvious, etc. but it is very hard to do at times. Yesterday I intended to play a certain way which wasn't producing results, and I was getting worked early on. I bit the bullet of that reality and started falling back on what was working.

Ok. Here comes the professional/ non-pro arguments, the world famous 'in the long run', the casino math types, etc. lofl.

Sorry but jbs is right, a money management - hit&run will never give you any edge... just a longer time limit

Yeah bro, Bernoulli is not a joke, you'll reach the point one day or another... Finally when i read forums, i wonder why the casino doesn't suggest a game with a negative edge and where the player would have an edge.

You too are out of your mind This forum is named correctly. Gambling forum is right because most of you are gamblers not players. Is there any data to back this up? Is it just an opinion? I have data to back my opinions up but you guys just keep going on your merry way. I am out of here. Too many amateurs.

Who and what are you referencing? Statements like 'Is there any data to back this up? Is it just an opinion?' are addressed to who? I have a substantial number of hours playing baccarat. So you are going to throw in gambling/ player/ casino arbitrage classifications? And don't think I don't recall that Mcvince is a member of the Jolly Rancher ghost posting army.

Thousand upon thousands of hours with thousands of players at the best baccarat play this side of Macau, jack. Maybe The Dark Wizard and his Black Riders and merry band of serf's site is more suited for some?

'In the long run' is a crap line of theory tossed about by people that analyze games and don't play. In the long run of what? Start a stupid thread and post your theory that will have no basis in reality at all.

My reply is to JBS, Sharptracker and any other yahoo who thinks that money management and hit and run is for the birds. Whoever thinks that going into a casino and guessing like 95% of the gamblers do at the table are amateur players who I don't want to waste my time communicating with. R19, if you are not one of those then it was not directed to you, if you share their opinion then it is. Simple. I just played two shoes this morning. First shoe I won 8 out of 10 hands that I bet, second shoe I won 3 out of 4 hands. I really don't care what people think. I try to help out by giving sound advice because I play for a living and two guys who probably should just open their window and throw their money out wants to get up on their soap boxes. None of the two guys can hold a candle to my play nor validate their opinion with any type of data for a debate. I was trying to upload my two shoes so the two idiots can look at the over 1k I made not being able to win like they described but I am having difficulty with it.

It's funny but predictable watching some guys take either the far left or far right extreme and leave no wriggle room in the middle.
Sure, all these multi-billion properties don't get built on the back of winners but at the same time casinos don't ban/kick players out, refuse them comps or 'cheat' them for nothing. Some guys win, most lose! No big deal really.

Maybe for shoe upload just make it yourself or type it out. All winning baccarat play 'hit and run', but over different durations of time. The point I made in the thread about hit and run is that for those who are so quick at it, why not just keep playing, even with some breaks thrown in? The short of it that the more realistic win targets are in relation to bank roll, then the more likely a good player can reach those levels and stop out.

My session are much longer than I would like, but this is due to a number of reasons. #1 is that I don't fast start as well as I used to. From what I have experienced the utility of risking to take more win in the later stages of a long session become very low vs just stopping because if you fall off back down, it is very tough to rally back up.

It is highly realistic to consistently engage in play and be finished in well under an hour or much less than that.

That session I mentioned, yesterday? I burned an additional hour plus eating and watching my 'sister' drive a super hot shoe. It was quite radical it was so hot and she did very well. I know this is burning up time away, etc. but it was worth it.

Besides 'hit and run' can equate to many things like limit the losses and making just a few bets here and there. If someone wants to bet every hand or every spin and most likely chase their losses with whatever hair brained progression is the flavour of the day, then carry on because the casinos will love you and treat you well until your money runs out. On the other hand, if you have a stop-loss, take all those wins (which build up over time) you may find that the fake smile the pit-boss/manager grants you from time to time fades away to be replaced by a look of scorn. You can take that to the bank!
