I think he is a sick man in feeling that he is inflicting shame on people. He doesnt have that kind of power. However he gets joy out of that as he deludes himself that he has that power. He is just a little man, that needs to feel power over people. And this is a guy that ran his business into the ground requiring a tin cup. I guess thats what happens when you have this type of person in charge.

to prove that the list is just a feel good tool for him is that it has a link to the "infraction". Therefore just in case people didnt see the insult in normal viewing of the site,...you get a second chance. So how do you think the insulted person feels having more people get the opportunity to see him insulted.. The manboy is actually allowing more salt to be poured on the wound . But in exchange the manboy gets to feel the power of supposedly "shaming" someone.

I agree with your view of the "sale". When a seller is at his weakest moment, needing donations in order to stay afloat....it would be a real fairy tale for someone to deliver a box of 2 million dollars to help him out.

Gambling forums which hand out nothing but advice shouldn't be overrun/seen by persons who clearly have addiction related issues.

    wizardofshit,

you also dont post crap on the walmart site. The only comparison between walmart and wov is that they are both "for profit" businesses that rely on customer service for part of their success.
There are of course customers that will go to walmart even if they are treated like crap, because the prices rule. And there are people on wov who get treated like crap, and see their neighbors be treated like crap.....but stay because they have a need.

Thats where the comparison ends. Since mistreatment of customers at wov occurs online, and this website is available online in 2 seconds....it is convenient and fun to comment. Unlike physically being in walmart, and getting to a computer to type a back and forth regarding experiences there.
You have to be stupid to think there is a comparison. At walmart when you see customer mistreatment you can go to a customer service desk. At wov when you see customer mistreatment you can post a comment on it until you get banned, and then you post elsewhere.

Just like its mentally soothing for the manboy to suspend people when he is in a bad mood......It is mentally soothing for me to comment on wov when I am in a good mood. When I want tohave fun.

I dont need to be like EB who brags he is a pusy and that he feels people should be more like him. You know a pussy who left wov, and proclaimed he wouldnt go back unless beached whale was gone. Then he comes crawling back to proclaim he is a pussy that knows how to kiss up to authority and why cant everyone lose there balls. I dont know....maybe because many others have self respect

Not trying to restart this- but it is common practice in small mom and pop stores to hang up bad checks-
Like it or not - and I'm not saying I do or don't but those are the rules - isn't the owner free to post a list of people that broke THE rules?

someone steals money from a business and they respond....and then refuses to pay after being contacted.....yes I have seen that happen. Passing bad checks is a crime, and a matter of public record.
And by posting a suspension list of shame, and giving a link for extra people to see the insult....shows disregard to the insulted person..it adds salt to their "wound". If anyone is shamed..its the suppposed victim.
If i want to see someone insulted.....I dont have to read through hundreds of posts....all I do is go to the list and click on the link.
THis means that the manboy is more into punishing than to protect members from being made to feel uncomfortable.

    Another customer service disaster.

So by posting bounced checks...that only shines the light on the criminal. Posting the name of the suspended person with a link, shines the light on the aggressor, as well as needling the recipient once again.
    Not even a close analogy

"It's good that you don't care, because I think your line of advice in this is garbage. The people you're claiming may have a point on the other forum are obsessive, maybe even ill, I don't know. Mike made the effort over months to work things out with kj; it didn't happen. We gave MC chance after chance to post within the rules; he couldn't do it. Just for 2 examples." BBB

    Question???

I have seen several references to Shackleford having a gambling addiction. Can I ask what that is about? Is there anything legit to you can point to that can lead someone to this conclusion, or is this just an attempt to pile on with baseless innuendo?

I have seen nothing that would indicate that. And in what little discussion I have had with him on the topic of blackjack, I know he isn't interested in even playing anymore because the edge is just too small. To my knowledge, he is only interested in AP plays that have a decent +EV return.....and that is far from the description of a gambling addict.

I mean I am disappointed and annoyed at Shackleford's behavior as much as anyone, but let's not just pile on trash, if it's not true. That weakens any legit gripe and criticisms that we have. So please share the basis for these accusations.

Kewlj, there is no basis for it at all. That's why I am so frustrated with this board, you are right on a lot of your points but I haven't sensed any nonsense from you like what is here about some others. People know nothing of axel... I have been around him numerous times and he is spot on for just about every play- even showing me some things on a play I brought him in on.
In my brief meeting with shack and others they were all courteous and very knowledgable - I even appealed my suspension in person to notice avail but it was still polite

These discussions are where I see Larry, Freddy and others going wrong. It's their right to say anything and everything they want about Mike and others over there. But to have credibility, they have to be based in fact.

I have said many times I learned a lot from Mickey & KJ. I also have learned from Axel and I learned from the Wiz from his website over the years. I have never met the Wiz and have no clue about him personally other than what I can determine from the forum. Much of what Larry has said can be seen as fair points on how he operates. Accusing him of be an addict in not based in fact from public information. Saying the deal to sell the sites could not be the value listed is not based in fact, only speculation. I get it is the internet, but it's easy to throw stuff out there, proving it is another thing.

DLN posted that gambling forums shouldn't be overseen by "persons who clearly have addiction related issues."

I don't recall LarryS. claiming the Wiz had a gambling addiction.

Anecdotally, the one time I met and spent time in a casino with the Wiz at a WoV con, his only interest was in trying to take adavantage of an AP promo at a downtown casino; he seemed to have zero interest in negative expectation games.

He and I have this in common: we both think life is a game (yeah, he's posted to that effect).

Maybe in that little discussion (your own quote) you did have with him, confirms you have very little knowledge of what he may or may not actually be interested or involved in.

(WON) In my brief meeting with shack and others they were all courteous and very knowledgable - I even appealed my suspension in person to notice avail but it was still polite

Again, in your brief meeting with Shack you were able to conclude this person’s profile. Aren’t you the same guy that contacted the FBI about the nonsense going on here? Hmmmmm, that’s a person with good judgment. Sorry Wiz, but your comments and actions that I know of only on these two web-sites leaves your opinions worthless. Let alone coming to a valued conclusion / opinion about anything in a brief meeting. Please don’t bore us with another valued cursing rage after reading this.

(Boz) But to have credibility, they have to be based in fact.

This is exactly what I’ve been trying to convince everyone of.

(Boz) Accusing him of be an addict in not based in fact from public information. Saying the deal to sell the sites could not be the value listed is not based in fact, only speculation. I get it is the internet, but it's easy to throw stuff out there, proving it is another thing.

Once again my point exactly that it’s easy to throw stuff out there but proving it is another thing. This is a double edged sword comment if I ever saw one.

It’s okay for all you guys to anonymously tell everyone about living the dream flying all over the country AP’ing with your mathematical genius all while consistently supporting families. Okay then fine, I’m saying anonymously that 98.5% of you are full of shit. My proof is no different than yours. So what’s your problem?

Now we have gambling sites that all discuss the mathematical facts about games offered by casinos and the best way to play them for the most benefit. Then we have forums from this gambling site and AP's telling everyone how with this information combined with other Secret Intel you could beat the pants off of the stupid casinos.

The owner of this site has no known job other than AP’ing or what the sites are capable of producing. One should obviously conclude the site(s) didn’t produce much.

According to Kewlj and others, this person only played decent + EV return gambling games. It’s also surprising you guys never mention his love for sports betting. We’ll leave that alone for now. Regardless, whatever games he chose to play the final outcome was to provide a tin cup and beg for money.

So, let’s summarize; Owns gambling forums, spends most of his life discussing gambling and gambling edges to gain, gambling mathematician expert, and professional gambling advanced playing expert only interested in AP plays that have a decent + EV return. Now he ends up broke and forced to beg for money. Can anyone out there give me a more logical explanation about how he ended up broke? Did he get layed off or fired from some place? Oh yea, I forgot… he was the only one that had real estate losses during the crash, and probably one of only a select few dumb enough to have any money tied up in Greece banks while they were going under for several years already before he lost 80K.

To compound the confusion, out of the blue a 2.3 million dollar deal comes down from the heavens and falls into the lap of the person on the verge of being homeless. Reminds me of that song Jimmy Durante use to sing, “Young At Heart” here are some lyrics – “Fairy tales can come true.. It could happen to you .. If your young at heart.. For a time you will find.. to be narrow of mind.. if your young at heart”….etc.etc.

My assumptions of what took place are based on what was put out there on a public forum for all to read. None of it is based on confirmed facts.

Everyone else’s assumptions of what took place are also only based on what was put out there on a public forum for all to read. None of it is based on confirmed facts.

I feel confident that the majority that read this nonsense and are not gamblers will agree with my assumptions. You guys really need to clear your heads for a minute and start viewing this stuff from outside of the box.

Please present confirmed proof of anything being said by me that anyone believes is wrong. I'll be the first to apologize.

Blackhole, PLEASE don't put me in a position where I feel I have to defend Mike Shackleford. That is something I really don't want to do. But making up things just to smear someone's name is really weak and immature.

First, I know where Mike lives and he is not on the verge of homelessness! Furthermore I wouldn't wish that on Mike, you, or anyone. I was homeless when I was a senior in high school. Not the adventurous 'free spirit', travel the country homelessness, but hardcore living in a men's shelter with no other options, wondering how you are going to get your life on track. I also volunteer half day each week at a youth homeless shelter here in Vegas, so I see that desperation regularly. Several times a year, when I show up, I hear of some young person who just gave up on life and committed suicide, since I was there last. I don't wish that helpless feeling on anyone.

On a message board site, you can choose to believe or not believe people, including me....that's fair game. And no one's got to prove anything. It's a message board and there is anonymity involved. If there wasn't I wouldn't share my experiences....it would be too risky. I always like to say “it doesn't take much to figure out who knows what they are talking about and who is just talking”. I myself don't believe things many people claim. As a matter of fact, the incident a year ago on another site, where I and several other's didn't believe some outrageous claims is what lead to my current message board issue's. So I am completely on board with being skeptical. That is your right.

But, there is a difference in not believing what someone says and just pulling crap out of thin air to smear someone's name with little or no evidence. That's just wrong. I realize people are free to do as they like on this site, but all the name-calling and now making up stuff just to smear someone's name just de-ligitimizes actual critiques of Mike, WoV and Mike's actions.

I was a member of WoV for 4+ years and read the site most days and I never read anything that would even hint that Mike has any interest in anything that was not +EV and that includes his football parlays and his superbowl prop bets. If there was something I missed that is actually gambling addictive type behavior, please share, because I have never seen anything.

And now I am nearly sick to my stomach, that I felt the need to defend Mike, who treated me so unfairly, so please don't do that again to me. :p

Shack never had time for full time AP. He was to busy analyzing games. He is an excellent sports bettor. I think he works to thin an edge at video poker. He put up one of his vp plays one time where he was playing at 100.24%. I wouldn't touch that play with your money.
