I have to ask. I am very sorry that I have to ask, but I really must ask--because it confounds me.

So, you have reached your "win goal" and you've just had a loss and you get up and "don't look back."

If "don't look back." does not mean, "never play again" how does leaving the casino, and waiting to play another time, differ from simply continuing to play???

If you pause 1 second, or 10 seconds, 1 day, or 10 years--how is this different?

Spike doesn't get it, easy to weed out those that actually gamble in a casino and those that spend all their time on chat boards and playing online.

Travel to casino could be 1hr drive or more, great run, hit goal target within the hour when you have set aside all night, might as well press, who leaves a winning table, hmmm only those on the look-out for semi-rancid meat, or who's goal target is 1 unit perhaps, so you press. First losing bet, walk, takes a lot of discipline to play that way.

If that was my first session at a certain game I move on to another type of casino game and then return to the

to the first game for the second session .

Strategy is winning 2 out of 3 sessions of a particular game .

I get it completely. And my local casino is 20 minutes away not an hour. Haven't been to a brick-and-mortar casino since January of 2020. Been playing online and now that it is legal to play online in my state I have a dozen casinos choose from. I didn't arrive at the have a goal bet one unit and leave, I didn't come to that conclusion yesterday. It took me years and I had to do everything else first before I got there. I had to learn everything not to do first. Thomas Edison was asked if it bothered him then it took him three thousand tries before he got it right with the light bulb. And he said not at all, he learned three thousand ways not to build a lightbulb. Because that's how it works, you have to find everything that fails before you find something that twins. That's why humans write books and pass knowledge on to their children so they don't have to make all those mistakes. There was no book I could read that told me how to beat roulette, I had to figure it all out of my own.

Greed has no place in professional gambling.

Utter deluded screwball, I trust all that "past due date" food you dine on has your immune system in tip top condition, you're gonna be reliant on it pretty soon.

Yeah, to bad you can no longer afford Guinness and Cashews, maybe Spike can drop you a line where some semi-stale are going cheap, he seems to be an expert on that.

Yeah desperate times call for desperate measures, The Roulette master will do anything to save a buck or two, while gambling to make a buck.

Ever considered feeding your body (nutritious fresh food) before some destructive habit that has you existing the the way you do?

What is the purpose of a "win goal?"

If you are playing with a positive expectancy, you would want to play as much as possible...so long as your kids didn't need you and your wife wasn't "in the mood" and considering the gardener as a stand-in, due to your constant absence.

Please explain how leaving a casino after winning a certain amount helps in anyway? This makes no sense. You never really leave, unless you never play again. Independent random events are identical, regardless if they happen centuries or nanoseconds apart.

How is the next hand you play, in anyway different from the next hand you would have played, if you hadn't left?

HOW DOES THE TIME PASSED IN-BETWEEN HANDS CHANGE ANYTHING?

You cannot leave ahead, unless you never play again. If you do play again, then you never really left...and if the pause was a second, or a week, or decade, it's the same exact thing. Going home and sleeping in one's own bed has nothing to do with gambling results and probabilities.

A 1 sec pause is identical to a 1 year pause...except, in the mind of the gambler. Go home, or stay where you are, your next hand is your next hand. The time that transpires between your last and your next hand is irrelevant. They are independent random events.

    ~FK

P.S. I do not imagine any answers will be forthcoming.

I have also figured out how to win at roulette. And my style is like how ND’s is: create a minimum goal and if the table is hot for me, I go until I lose. Then I leave. It’s very easy. Sometimes there’s a grind and if my goal is say 10 units and I am up to 10 and lose 2 back, I’m okay with that. No I don’t win every session. I guess if I played for just one unit I might. But even on a good run, I could be down 10-15 units right out of the gate. I trust my bet selection. I trust my money management. I don’t play scared. And I also don’t stop right at my goal if the table is in an upward trend for me. That’s like pissing money into the sewer.

But I won’t judge you SPIKE. To each their own. If your one unit win daily is good enough, who am I to bash you? Better than losing.

I said as much in another thread, "free money is addictive", unless of course you were in a hurry to get home to eat yesterdays left-overs haha.

That was an entertaining response Frank. Thank you! I have a ballpark number where I feel like I’m not wasting my time of getting to the casino, my gas money, my food when I’m there, etc. But if I don’t get there I don’t. But if I get there, I’m not leaving immediately. Some companies give “bonuses”. Sometimes the tables do as well by me so it’s kind of a bonus so I try to take as much of the casino piñata as I can. When the candy has been gobbled up, then the party is over and I leave.

Look, you guys that say keep going until you lose after reaching your goal. This is what Spike is doing. He's flat betting the funded bets. In my case I'm flat betting the big bets and don't give a hoot about the throw out bets while I'm waiting for what I want to start happening. Let's say that I play and my throw out bets are the three highest double streets. All I do is bet $1 on each double street, ($3), that's $2 less than the minimum bet on the outside layout of $5 at the live online table. Now at the end of the year I have lost 2.7% of all those bets, thousands of them.

Now the good part. Say I want to want to win just $50 per day and I log in three times a day. I bet anything I want to get to my $17 per session. I win every time because there are always enough micro upticks in the mental picture of a graph in my head of how the game flow is acting. I know when to pull back to the throw out bets and I know when to reach for the one unit win of $17. It's the wave formations in the graph. I'm playing the game of noticing the upticks and applying pressure when it's doing what I like. In the very simple game of tracking all the outside bets you see all 12 locations from the 5 possible groupings all at once. I just look for any group in an upward climb. It only takes a few minutes. You could be getting killed if you bet on red but you will massacre the casino because of a sleeping dozen in the columns.

So why such a small win goal? If I average $50 a day from say one total hours combined work in a day then that's an extra $1,500 per month. I bet small and leave small because if you go hunting big waves only all day long then you had better have a good plan to deal with huge holes in your bankroll that will happen. I know this from personal experience.

Frank, that's like saying you have an expertise in a certain field so why not have two or three jobs at the same time to make as much money as you possibly can. Nobody does that. You take a job making the amount of money you want to make and you do that job. Why would I want to spend one minute more playing at a casino then I have to. I set a win goal, make the goal, and stop. I treat it like a job, which is what it is. As I keep pointing out we have goals for everything we do in life. My goal is to drive my car to the supermarket not to just keep going for another 20 miles because I can. My goal is to sleep 8 hours a night not to sleep 12 hours just because I can. Our whole lives are made up of large and small goals. Why would I not have a goal at the casino. Why would I walk in having no idea how much money I was going to make. For me that's chaos. I run my playing like a business and every business needs structure or it will fall apart.

What I do is like hunting. I go to the casino and I hunt for the proper time to bet. If there is no proper time I leave but there usually is. I spot my opportunity, like I spot my prey when I'm hunting, and I make my shot. If I get the animal I've reached my goal. Why would I want to continue hunting when I already have what I came for. If I need more in the future I can just come back and do the same thing again. The only way I would play and play and play till I was exhausted would be if I was unsure of what I was doing I thought and could not do this again. But I know I can do it again, as many times as I want. So I have a goal.

I'm sorry to inform you of this but it seems that you have no idea this happens.

Try to see waves that are steady and then a rogue wave comes along that is a negative wave with a deep trough in front of it. I limit my losses as the surfboard drops in and down to the trough. It's a windsurfer so I'm powered up to travel over these waves. I'm headed out into the faces. So as I climb up these nice waves I know that I will hit my goal. I get the heck out in the common waves, the first one that gets my goal. I know this because I also know that there is a rogue wave trough that will surprise me up ahead. It always happens. It's randomness and you can't know when the big downturn will happen. So you don't fund that. If you get the heck out of there on the first shot at your goal then you are smart. If you "feed the pig" then you get what you deserve.

People who criticize this constantly forget that we're dealing with random outcomes and there are no rules, they can change on a dime. When I see the outcomes playing my game, it could last for 5 spins, 10 spins, I have no idea. So I make my one unit and I quit and I sit there and play virtually. Sometimes I could have won 15 units if I kept playing. Other times I could have made two more units and then lost my ass. Why would I want to take that chance when I don't have to. I will say it over and over and over, knowing when not to bet is the most important thing because it preserves your bankroll. And preserving your bankroll is the absolute last thing the casino wants you to do. These games were designed by really smart people to take as much of your money as possible. Be smarter than them. They want you to be a fool and play through all the negative variance. That way they can hack away at your bankroll. No thanks.

Why would it not be good enough. I want more, I will set a higher goal. You were playing from the gamblers position of greed, I am not. Play Gambler enough is never enough. I saw this over and over with my own wife. She would win $300 on a slot
and I would calmly tell her let's leave now, you have $300. She would say it's not enough, I want more more more. Only she never got more, she always went home with less. She's a gambler, she gets caught up in the greed and it makes all her decisions for her. On the way home she always realizes what she did and doesn't know why she did it. Why was I so stupid, she'll say. Greed is always stupid because it controls you and you cannot control it.

SPIKE - $300 would be enough. I wouldn’t risk that win to be greedy. Would I risk $25 of it if the tides were good at the time? Absolutely. Then I would be fine win or lose as $275 is a nice number. I would never lose it back. I think we have the same philosophy in terms of leaving while ahead. The amounts are the difference. Never would I risk my win by losing it all. But a 10% loss to win more is okay with me. As I mentioned earlier, I have no problem with how you do it. I just prefer another way.

You have to have a bankroll big enough to stand behind your goal. You're going to make a $300 bet you should have a $6,000 bankroll. 20 times the amount of your bet is my rule. I don't care how good you are you don't know what's going to happen. Betting $300 if you have a $1,000 bankroll would be foolish. Or even a 2000 or $3,000 bankroll.

It make sense for the spik'e wife to quit while up 300$ but ONLY IF she never ever gonna play the slots machine again. Otherwise it is nonsensical and retarded to quit up any amount cuz at some point yer gonna return to casino and put that 300$ back at risk along with yer bankroll cake. I gotta say I'm perplexed that a cat with an 88% strikes rate seem so imbued with a chickens shit, scared losers recreational players minds set, hey hey????

    my story of today:

I woke up at 9:30, and then gambled online on the bed. In my account, I have my capital 10 thousand and 3 thousand profit earned last night. It's not lucky today. I always bet on the wrong side.

While losing more, I bet much more to win back the money I lost. Eventually, I lost the 3 thousand profit and a half of my capital. I bet with all in time after time while less than half capital left.

Lose big, wage big, win back part of my capital, lose big...

The sequence repeated several times and I felt I was in hell. I was so nervous that my two hands got sweated holding the cellphone.

I swore myself as a crazy dog because I knew I had lost control but I still kept betting big.

One thing that can help you is to leave only the amount you are willing to lose on the website.
If you have 10 thousand I think it's only fair to leave around R$ 250.00 in the account.
