LarryS. got nuked by the Wiz, and the Wiz never gave the specific reasons, never pointed to specific comments made by LarryS. in specific posts, as grounds for nuking him.

LarryS. harped about perceived problems at the board, but he did on occasion post decent gambling (sports betting) posts, unlike some of the guys there now who act like teenage girls on FB, prioritizing socializing/gossip over gambling.

I ask: who is the real criminal, and who is the real victim?

Is it a crime not to fit in, not to play the game/schmooz with the boyz?

and also some of the "perceived problems" have now been at least temporarily addressed. The suspension list of "shame" has been curtailed as people have been suspended without trying to be "shamed". I posted on wov, that the mods have no power to inflict shame....and that they are taking their power too seriously if thats what they think they are doing. All they were doing is making the insulted party get insulted again and in front of more people as the link was provided in a central location.
And I talked about treating posters as valued customers without having hair trigger punishments. just for rubbing someone the wrong way or not showing the proper deference to authority. Again this has been addressed as BBB has been told to step down on 2 occasions that i saw....and there was none of the usual retaliation.
There is something to be said for persistence.
The only difference here, is that the entire thought and complaint could be voiced, fleshed out, and debated.....and shown to be valid. Over there, a suspension or banning would occur under the umbrella of "trolling" very quickly before it could be fully presented and debated.SO here it was given room to breathe.....here even mods came over and admitted there were things they didnt agree with........and would you know it...once the dialogue was allowed to proceed .......someone somewhere decided there was merit and changes have occurred.

So as it stands, at least some of the annoying posts of mine 2 years ago at wov......may still be viewed as annoying by some.....but they were also constructive.

But your trick is to not quote anyone but instead change the meaning of their words. You need to start "showing your work." Quit construing people's words and quote them.

LarryS was driving down the road one day. It was 103 degrees with 98% humidity outside but Larry didn't care. He had the climate control set to 70 degrees. Nice and cool inside.

After a few minutes Larry seen an old black man standing in the hot sun trying to hitch a ride. Being the good samaritan that he is and with his firm belief in helping people, Larry pulled over to give the old black dude a ride.

The old black guy went to get in the back seat. Larry said 'No, Sir, we are all equal. There is no discrimination here. I insist you sit up front." The old black man obliged.

Larry took off. After a few minues Larry reached under the seat and pulled out 2 big cigars. He went to pass one off to the old black man. "No, sir. I know you don't want me smoking your good cigars" the old black man said. "We are all equal" Larry said "You have as much right to a good cigar as me. I insist you smoke it" The old black dude lit it up.

After a few minutes Larry reached under the seat and pulled out a bottle of brandy. He took a big swallow then passed the jug over to the old black man. "No, sir. I know you don't want me drinking out of the same bottle as you" the old black man said. "Sir" Larry said " we are all equal. You are just like me. Go ahead and have a drink.

So there they were smoking cigars and drinking brandy while they traveled down the road. About that time the right rear tire blew out.

Larry pulled to the side of the road. They both got out and looked at the ripped up tire. Then they looked at each other. Then they looked at the tire again then at each other. Then the old black dude looked up and down the road. Then he looked back at Larry.

Then the old black man said "Ain't this a bitch! To have a flat on a hot day like this! And there ain't one damn nigger around to change the tire!"
