Trump just gave an amazing speech in PA - covered every problem we have in this country and exactly how he's going to fix them.
Hits another one out of the park. Nice job.

I can just envision the headline of the NY Daily News the day after the election:

    "People to Trump: YOU'RE FIRED!"

I am neither pro nor anti Trump; he has provided levity and entertainment this election year, and I always appreciate good comedy, most especially when it is unintentional.

The question for Trump is this: has this helped or tarnished the value of the Trump brand?

In the end of course that is, and has been, his only concern.

There is no God, hasn't amerika stopped teaching religion in schools?

You couldn't confirm the ethnicity of your kids never mind some IP addresses which no moderator is going to supply to you.

Makes no difference though does it. The ignorant racist red-necks will vote for Trump and fortunately they are in the minority, so you better start teaching you kid how to speak Spanish. As for the grease-ball Glen, I know during the 2nd world war they interned some American Japanese for the duration of the war, what about the grease-balls, I mean after-all they were on the other side too. Oh wait a minute, when things weren't going too well they switched sides didn't they.

    $10 million phew
    :D

My Rolex was fyi actually comp'd, personally I would never spend that amount of money on a watch, however when a certain level of points are comp'd, I thought hell why not, better still I didn't have to lose $10M {at least} over 37 years. Bonus.

Yeah me neither, it will be an hilarious moment as you making a million dollars in May. No doubt I'm guessing you will shamefaced disappear once Hillary is elected the next President of the United States of AmeriKa.

Gettysburg was Lee's attempt to draw the Army of the Potomac out into the open and destroy it. If he was successfull he figured Lincoln would then have to sue for peace. But for all intents and purposes the battle was lost on the first day when one of Lee's generals chickened out on taking then lightly defended Cemetery Hill. Union troops occupied the ridge during the night. That spelled doom for the Confederacy and Lee should have backed out. Instead he attacked for two more days getting a lot of men killed for nothing.

You ever been to Gettysburg, Mickey? The battlefield tour always gets me. They've spruced up the place recently and gotten rid of some of the kitschy stuff. Made it more like a museum town.

Why ? I can handle a loss once in while - even though that's not going to happen.
But if it does - I'm prepared. My head won't explode like the radical left who can't handle it ie... "I'm leaving the US if he wins" lol.
Million in May ? You mean I didn't make it ? Dammit ! I'm glad you don't do my taxes then.

"not pro nor anti Trump" then goes on to show that he is anti-Trump.
    Strange. Just say so.
There are always the people that are obviously left and show it -
others who are left and pretend that they are in the middle (yet would never vote for a republican)
others who are in the middle and can go either way (not many)
and then the same process for the people on the right.
It's easier to just lay out where you stand and not say "I'm not for either side" and then make it clear that your on one side and not the other. (opinion)

Rasmussen, IBD/TIPP and LA Times polls are "tilted" republican. I don't know whether they do so intentionally, or if their polling method is flawed, but either way they are biased and should be considered outliers. In 2012, Rasmussen had Mitt Romney ahead 3 points right up until the day before the election. In 2012, Rasmussen's problem was they were only calling land line, home phones and no cell phones. This clearly meant they their surveys were slanted towards older people and away from the younger generation, many of whom have no landline, home phones.

How can a visit to Gettysburg NOT move you if you are an American. The place has an eerie, sad feel to it. The worst of American history....Americans killing each other. Sadly I feel we are heading in that direction again with the way our politics have become so polarizing. People including politicians are unwilling to talk to each other and find common ground instead digging in for a fight with no room for compromise.

Now back to the topic of this thread...my 3 roommates and myself all voted yesterday on the first day of voting here in Nevada. During the primary, all 4 of us supported different candidates in the Nevada caucuses. I supported Trump, my brother Jeb Bush, my partner, Hillary and our other roommate Bernie. Yesterday we all voted for Hillary. We all came to the same conclusion that Trump isn't mentally stable enough to be president.

This (voting for Hillary) was particularly difficult for me, as The Clintons represent everything I hate about politics and politicians. They are corrupt (IMO) and have repeatedly broken the laws and rules. I hate the choice I was presented with. Hillary will win, but will not be two term president, if the repubs nominate anyone reasonable in 2020.

Mickey I wasn't really asking, rather highlighting how poignant Trump speaking at a location when AmeriKa was so extremely divided.

No, but I would like to go someday. I know about Gettysburg from my own genealogy work. My 2nd great-grandfather, William Wesley Crimm and his 4 brothers were poor farmers in Shelby County, Alabama in 1862. They were not slave holders. But they were going to be force conscripted into the War. They instead joined the Alabama 44th Infantry Regiment so they could all be together. They fought in all the major battles of the War and were at Appomattox for the surrender.

My 2nd great-grandfather was on furlough during Gettysburg, two of his brothers had already died in the war, and two of his brothers were at Gettysburg. There were plenty of cousins there too. On the 2nd day the 44th got up at 3 AM, marched 25 miles to the battlefied and were immediately thrown into action. They took Devil's Den and were the only unit at Gettysburg to capture Union artillery pieces.

My 2nd great-grandfather hated Yankees for the rest of his life. There is a book written about the 44th called Devil's Den. All the Crimm names are in the book.

Wow. I've visited Devil's Den a few times. When you know the history, it takes on an eerie feel as you walk around.

I like visiting the now unused fortifications which flank both sides of the entrance to the Columbia River.

Cool bunkers and gun emplacements for the once formidable coastal artillery.
